Your experience will vary depending on weather you make an appointment or walk-in much like a DMV. Appointment experience is good overall, however a walk-in appointment is a nightmare. Self-check-in kiosk, scan your drivers license and your insurance information, system places you in-line with other walk-in customers. Hour wait sometimes while you watch people with appointments take precedence over you and just when you think you're gonna be next two more appointments walk-in, and to the end of the line you go again. Also the phlebotomists appear to hold back serving walk-in customers when an appointment is scheduled in10-15 minutes making the wait time even longer. read more

Nothing but good experiences here. The two ladies that work here are extremely skilled and gentle. I've had issues passing out after blood draw in the past because I was anemic and they are happy to let me lay down and take my time getting up to be sure I don't get dizzy afterwards. Nobody likes going to get your blood tested. But the technicians at Quest Diagnostics are experts at what they do. Friendly, caring and efficient. I'm a type two diabetic and have been going to get my blood tested before the majority or my doctors appointments. You can pick your appointments to choose the one that works for you. read more

Quest Diagnostics gets an big thumbs up. It's easy to make appointments online and check in on your phone once you get there. The last couple times I have gone. I didn't even know I had a needle in my arm to draw blood. Big A+++ read more

I was scheduled for 11:20 a.m. and scheduled to be done by 11:35. It was after that that I asked the lady next to me if she had an appointment; she said that no, she was a walk-in so we figured I must be next. Nope, the lady went before me. I was done just before noon and not happy at all. I had scheduled this during a lunch break and had to be back at work at noon and still had to eat something since, of course, I had fasted for 12 hours for this. I've been having my blood drawn at least once a month for the past 12 years, because I have to take a blood thinner for my heart. that's more that 144 times and the 2 Phlebotomists that stand out as the best! I had some lab work done today by Alexis and she was amazing!!! I have a fear of needles and she went above and beyond to make me feel very comfortable. I didn't even feel the needle, she is that great!!! I will definitely be back to see her if I ever need any lab work. read more

If having a copy to patient is important do not go into this lab. If hygiene is important to you don't go to this lab. They ran the test, sent a FAX to the prescribing doctor and refused the information to the lady that paid the bill, me A second doctor apt, no results, third doctor coming up at the breast cancer center, still no results. How can they do the work and never post it to my account? Florida and New York has stopped using Quest for Covid-19 tests because they do not produce results in any timely manner. HIPPA allows 30 days for a result. So outrageous when you are on your way to see the breast cancer specialist. Just mind boggling. read more

This place is under rated because it does have a short staff but so do all Quest locations. If you are smart you will registrar on the company website and schedule an appointment late in the day. Even if you show up early they will take you as a walk-in and the whole process will go a lot faster. read more

I feel bad for the phlebotomists because they also have to serve as the customer service desk. Quest needs to realize that you can't overwork these people because their focus continuously gets shifted. That can't be good for patient safety. Speaking of patient safety, they took my order, but then they placed it in the normal trash. Since there wasn't any PII, I was not angry, but more so disappointed. Due to the OPM breach the Chinese know who I am, but that is still no excuse. They did not use a secure document destructor. This place is a HIPPA violation breeding ground. What was even a bigger kick in the junk was that because they were understaffed, they lacked a customer service tech. The kick in the junk was that they had me call an automated answering service to reschedule an appointment. And then when I called the number, I couldn't even speak to a real person. The moral of the story is, I wish the on-site staff could have helped me out. read more

i called and called, wasting 15 minutes going from one dead end to another, trying to get a human being to talk to. none of the options fit my question, and i could not find any option that was a live person! I will never go there- picking a company i can actually talk to! read more

The staff is very nice. I came in about 10AM and I was out by 10:20AM. Didn't take long at all. There was about 3 people ahead of me as well. When you walk in you sign in on a tablet which I personally like. It's more efficient in my opinion and it only ask you for basic information so nothing crazy. read more

This was going to be a one-star review rating, but because of the service I received after contacting their Complaint Department, I wanted to reward that effort with a five-star. Going into Quest for a Pre-Employment Drug-Screening, I arrived and checked in shortly after they opened at 7A. After a brief period of time, I was led back to one of the Exam Rooms, where I presented my paperwork for the Drug Screening. I was then told that they did not do Drug Screenings until 10A! Apparently they take care of people who fasted first. Returning to the Check-In Desk, the lady there was extremely unhelpful and unsympathetic to my situation, the distance I had driven, and such. When I asked to speak to a Supervisor, I was told there was none present. When I asked for a Phone Number that I could call to complain, she gave me the number for that very Office that I was in!! Were they going to assist me better when I called them as I was standing in their Office?! Absolutely non-nonsensical. I contacted their Complaint Department (Phone Number found on Google), and after nearly 1/2 hour of waiting and talking to the initial contact person, I was put through to Lily, a Supervisor. Lily explained to me the Policy of Quest, sympathized with my position, and then placed me on hold to call the Supervisor of the Office where I was waiting. And would you believe it, while I was waiting for her to come back on the line, I was disconnected! By this time, the Office was empty and had been for 15 Minutes or more, yet no one offered to assist me! I was fully into an hour at this Office and I was getting frustrated! My Phone rang, and it was Lily, calling me back and apologizing for the disconnect! Wow! She told me that she had talked to the Supervisor and that they would make an exception and get me in right away. I thanked her for that! Several minutes later, the lady that was originally going to help me, Geadell, came out and started getting my info. She was so pleasant and sweet that it made the hour+ delay a non-issue, and she processed me in a very short period of time. I want to thank Lily and Geadell again for their great Customer Service, and for making an unpleasant situation into a good experience. read more

The staff is very nice but just like the other reviews, it's very slow. You must check in with an iPad at the front desk. There were two older people in front of me and took so long for just a few question. When I finally got checked in, they called me in after 30 minutes. I had to get a 3 hour glucose test since I'm pregnant so I was there for almost 4 hours! They make you wait in the front lobby and the chairs get very uncomfortable after a while and sitting for so long. There were other pregnant women there too, you would think they would make better accommodations. I've heard other places have reclining chaira for when you're taking such long test. Not here! If you can, go somewhere else. read more

This new office location is very clean, the waiting room is decorated nicely and is also very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I arrived at 7:11 this morning without an appt. Although there were about 5 other people there in the waiting room, I was done before 7:30. The phlebotomist who drew my blood was very sweet and quick. read more

First I made reservations for 7:45 a.m. online because this Quest is the only one in the area so I thought they would be busy. I got there 15 minutes early. Only 2 people waiting. That was great. The lady at the desk that helped me was very friendly. She also drew my blood. I had a very good experience. read more

I did a walk in appointment, only one person ahead of me but waited 20 minutes before being taken back to do labs. I sat down and noticed that the Tourniquet was already laid out and visibly soiled with someone else's skin debris- so they are reusing tourniquets and I think that's just gross conduct (possibly even a health violation) as some people do have skin diseases which are transferable via contact. **Lesson learned from this: Always ask for a new tourniquet to be used on you and make sure the Phlebotomist/Lab personnel throws it away after use or proper decontamination is performed in front of you.** read more

I had a really good experience at Quest. The plan is clean and nice. There was no wait. The staff was pleasant and friendly. They did a good job with what I needed. Overall I think it was really good. I would definitely go back. I recently moved to the Santa Maria area. read more

Not the fault of the staff who are very nice but dont expect to get anything done quickly. With or without an appointment the wait is over an hour. I have been here several times and the wait is ridiculous. They are very under staffed for the volume of patients that are processed at this location. The new location is otherwise nice and very clean. Needs better management and more staff. read more

Only open till 3:30. How the expect anyone who works to get in to get the blood test that their doctors demands but refuses to take it in house, I'll never know. read more
