You wouldn't necessarily know this was a CVS except for the sign out front. The building is decorated with painted palm trees and beachy scenes. We were looking for a specific type of night light for the hotel room, which they didn't have. It's large inside with a little bit of everything. However, they had beach coverups in a pattern that I'd been looking for forever. I got excited and went through all their hanging stock. I even asked the cashier if they had any more clothing in the back room. Sadly all this particular merchandise was already on display. And the pattern I wanted? Not in my size. Quel dominage! We just had an excellent dining experience at The Mad Hatter. We started with the salmon roll and crab cake, both excellent. The light tempura coating on the salmon roll was perfect! I had the potato leek bisque infused with truffle. It was delicious and the flavors were nicely balanced. My husband had shrimp in BBQ sauce with risotto. Again the flavors were well balanced not too much BBQ. And the largest shrimp we've ever seen! I had the scallops with mashed potato and broccoli. Scallops were prepared perfectly. The wine list is on point. French press coffee for my hubby and espresso for me. We split cheese cake for dessert, it was as good if not better than in New York. The food was outstanding as was the service. I can't believe we've been coming to Sanibel for 11 years and this was our first time dining at The Mad Hatter! We'll be back! read more

My husband and I ran in for a couple items. When we approached the check out counter we were very rudely told that we might as well check ourselves out because "it'll be awhile" which I didn't understand as they were just standing there. No big deal. Checked ourselves out but needed an override from an employee as we were purchasing Benadryl. The young female worker that came to the self check stand to assist us was so extremely rude. I asked a couple of questions and her reply was "I don't make the prices" and "I don't know". She continued to be beyond rude to the point my husband had to step outside as to not cause a scene. Sanibel CVS is my favorite CVS store. Good overall customer service and courteous-friendly cashiers keeps us coming back. CVS is our go to convenience store on the Island. The store has a good selection of wines, sunscreens, hair products, etc. This review is for the retail portion of the store in general- we don't use the pharmacy. read more

I was in this store looking for some 'over the counter' medicine for the massive mosquito bites I received during the recent afternoon rain. The store opens @7:00 am for people like me who did not have a good night sleep. The 'cleric' (maybe store owner) didn't even get out of the chair to ask if I needed help. Then after 10 minutes of wondering around the aisle. I found him near the KODAK printing maching. I asked if he knew where I could find some "CVS-Benadyl". He said check aisle 13, or 14. I guess he was too busy to help me. (This is not very good 'customer' service.) The parking lot is poorly designed, and front exit door is visible from the parking lot, the "entrance" door is NOT. I my opinion this parking lot is covered by too many trees. This is reason for the one star. The star is for the fact that this is the only CVS on Sanibel-Captiva Island. read more

Found CVS on the island a couple years ago. We have found it a good place to buy sunscreen,drinks as well as a variety of other items. Great customer service and checkout clerk was very helpful and courteous. I recommend you stop and browse as prices seem to be good compared to other island businesses read more
