Do NOT go to this location. The pharmacist named GRACE has lied multiple times about when a prescription can be filled. Today was the last straw. I have a prescription that will run out on the 22nd of this month. I should be able to fill today (21st) or tomorrow (22nd). But they just said no you're only allowed to fill the 23rd. My doctor filled the prescription for me in order to AVOID a potential lapse in coverage. GRACE refused to comply, continually quoting 'the system' and ignoring the fact that the days on her end would lead to a lapse in coverage for me. When I asked to speak to her manager, she said there is no manager and hung up. I am now trying to contact the regional director about this abusive and unprofessional employee and how they are negatively impacting my health outcomes for no reason other than, from what I can see, incompetence and spite. read more

Unfortunately this CVS is almost always understaffed which leads to very very very long wait times and lines at the pharmacy, and also difficultly finding someone on the shop floor if you need help finding something. The staff that they do have are always very courteous and professional - so that is definitely a plus! But, I waited over 40mins recently at their drive-thru pickup line, and there were only two cars in front of me. Also with keeping stock of inventory, I have found that things I needed were sold out... So it can also be quite hit or miss from that regard as well. read more

I signed up for my Covid Bival booster vaccine. I arrived at CVS and checked in on my phone. I was instructed to walk back to the pharmacy and take a seat. The pharmacist came over and asked me a few questions and then, gave me my shot. You need to stick around for 15 minutes to make sure you don't have a reaction. So, I headed over to the Halloween area. The only hiccup, was when I returned to the pharmacy, I had to wait for awhile to get permission to leave. Other than that, things went easy as pie. This review is solely with the manager named RITESH. I think he is a manager in this location. All the cashiers has always been nice like Mirella she's always helpful and welcoming but not him. He doesn't even greet people coming in and i had an encounter with him today. He doesn't not have a customer service bone in his body. I was just asking help for the coupon and all his answers were very condescending and i was taken aback on how he answers. I shop here a lot especially if they have good deals but today was my worse experience. So worse that i called corporate about it. I am very disappointed to be treated this way as a customer. read more

Fails to answer phone: I spent an hour or so on hold before having to cone down in person to get the pharmacy to expedite a prescription. This is not the first, or even second time that this has happened. It is an ongoing issue. This time, however, the prescription was time sensitive, and coming down to wait for it indoors, instead of via the drive through endangered everyone who was exposed to me. read more

3/6/21 I found them and something new too Carmel M&M's and White Chocolate Peanut M&M's. Since I have been drinking out 3 times, I found them on my fourth and favorite number. Yes, this surgery candy is bad for me, but so is smoking. I will walk carefully, but I will eat some of these candies tonight or tomorrow...of my wife doesn't get to them first... This location is no longer 24 hours, which unfortunately changed almost a year ago, but their signage and website didn't reflect this for the longest time. Sadly this location struggles with their customer service, both at their pharmacy and retail. They recently made some updates to their interior displays and rearranged the store to fully stock their shelves and make it look more organized, but it still doesn't take away from the poor customer service you receive. Filling and picking up prescriptions at this location is nothing but a nightmare. You are given a promised time and date to pick up your prescription, but upon arrival you find out that your prescription hasn't been filled. You end up waiting for over an hour for your prescription to be filled, PLUS the wait time in line. They are always short staffed and for the amount of volume they have at this location, it doesn't surprise me that their pharmacists and techs look overworked and act frustrated. I commend them for the work that they do, especially since they had to absorb the pharmacy customers from the location that closed at Rockville Town Center, but their corporate office needs to provide sufficient staff support to adequately support their store's volume. Aside from the pharmacy, the retail side of the store is sub par. I prefer to visit other locations that have a friendlier and more helpful staff, along with a store that is well stocked and organized. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. Wait time 25 minutes MINIMUM on phone. Can wait 20 or more minutes in line at store. Prescriptions "set aside" for weeks if they can't fill, yet phycican nor patient informed of an issue. Corporate customer service no better. Guaranteed 20 minute on hold before you get to speak to human. No one calls backs- as promised. Too tired to fully discuss the outside of the store. Ordered a photo online got a message saying it was ready, went to pick up and it's not printed because the machine was down. Called and when they finally answer the phone the person who answered couldn't communicate effectively so she hung up on me. They are disorganized and unprofessional in every way possible. And for two days now they have not been able to get my medication. I was informed to come the following day. They don't update their website. This hurt us when we signed up for a CRP COVID test, reached this CVS, and we're told "we didn't update our website." We needed this test for a proximate airline flight. We wasted time applying to be tested, a data mining exercise really, and waiting to be tested. I would avoid CVS' Minute Clinics owing to their sloppiness. read more

Very poor time management and expectation setting with the pharmacy team here. My prescription was supposed to be held for me (I already paid for it through cvs online) and wasn't. I had to wait over 40 minutes to get the prescription, even though they said it would take 10 mins...poor management. Popped into this CVS at 10:45 pm on a Sunday night to pick up a couple of items. There were several other customers in the store. Oddly enough, I was the only one followed by the female store clerk. No she did not ask if I needed help finding something. Rather, she stood with her arms folded at the top of the aisles that I visited. Hmmmm...talk about feeling unwelcome. This review is exclusively for the minute clinic at this location. I did a walk-in after work and signed in easily, the appointment was prompt and the NP was knowledgeable, kind, and took their time. They ordered a prescription to be filled at the connected pharmacy and it was filled almost immediately. The pharmacist was prompt and able to answer all of my questions thoroughly. This experience was the smoothest appointment and pick up I've had at any CVS location by far. read more

Nothing special about this cvs except that its bugger then other cvs in the area. The problem here is not the location or the store itself vut the workers. .. I was there yesterday and was waiting to check out and no one was at the cashier and i had to go back to work then there was this white lady screem loud ( what us it you need) i told her i needed to pay..... Most cvs have that kind of people thats why i only go to cvs when its extremely necessary. My friends told me the pharmacy is just a worse nughtmare. They all say this is by far the worse pharmacy. Went in to this CVS location this afternoon and had a wonderful time talking with the store manager, Ritesh, and the cosmetics consultant, Elizabeth. They were both extremely helpful in helping me locate my desired items. There was Compassion and concern amongst the entire staff, in a well kept and well stocked establishment. This review is in response to CVS online booking for vaccines. We've been customers for 30 years and the pharmacy staff has always been great. However the online signup for vaccinations was difficult to fill out and I was not able to get my husband or me flu shots despite booking appointments four times. Each time, the appointment was successful but we received cancellation emails the day before and in two cases mere hours before our appointments. We were forced to go to Walgreens, which I guess will be our new drugstore. I was confused by the multi-page and tedious signup, especially the request for insurance information. The system took our primary insurance. We do but it is part of our primary insurance and we have one card but the system wanted information (Bin?) that wasn't on the card. I would have liked some feedback about WHY our visits were cancelled other than the generic list of possible reasons. Customers time is important and for many people, getting to a pharmacy is not a simple matter. read more

Have been shopping at this CVS for years. Customer service has definitely become poor, but this visit was a new low. I had a cashier, Shyon, challenge me. I told her that she was being rude and she turned around and said I was being rude. I had an issue with a coupon not being accepted and she said that it would not be accepted, when it was a viable coupon. She kept that smirk on her face as I asked to speak with management. This is a complaint, not a review. But I assume management looks at Yelp from time to time. Signed up online for MinuteClinic flu shot appointments for myself and two children. I received confirmation online. To be safe, I also tried to call this CVS locations to confirm with a live human being that my appointment was truly on the books. I tried three times, but could could only reach a cashier, who said there was no way to talk to anyone in the Minute Clinic operation. Upon arrival, there was no record of my appointment and no one to provide help. (I asked a CVS employee for help, and she simply said she could not assist with Minute Clinic matters.) I waited another 5 minutes for a Minute Clinic appointment to appear, and she advised that: 1) there was no record of our appointments, 2) and there would be a long wait if we wanted flu shots. I have had bad experiences at this CVS before. Lost/unfilled/improperly filled prescriptions. Long lines. Poor service. I knew I was taking a chance signing up for flu shot here. 2 stars because my 1st visit was ok. 2nd visit, my doctor submitted a prescription from the prior evening, status said that it would he ready by 9am the following morning. I went by at 11:55 am and waited at least 8 minutes before someone acknowledged my presence. Then i was told that my prescription will he expedited ans would bee ready in 10 minutes.... i wasnt called until 25 minutes later. read more

This place is NOT open 24/7, contrary to what Yelp, Google, and CVS app claim. There is even a sign on the building that says it is open 24 hours, but don't be fooled! I wasted $20 on an Uber from my hotel in the middle of the night to find this out. read more

I arrived at the store and waited in line (with one person ahead of me) at the minute clinic to be seen before their 7:15pm cutoff time, but by the time I was at the front and able to speak with the Nurse Practitioner, she said they were no longer seeing patients...it was 7:17pm. Right on the corner of the Pike and Wooton Parkway, this CVS is pretty huge! And it's pretty well stocked. But my goodness it's so slooooooooooooooooooow. The guy took so long to just try to open up a plastic bag to put my purchases into, that I told him not to bother and just put it all in my purse. Signed up for a 3 o'clock appt online. Doctor showed up from lunch at 3:15 with a line of people waiting already. 75 minutes went by as I waited. What's the point if online scheduling when the doctor is late and meandering. I received multiple texts warning me not to be late. CVS could easily send out texts that the doctor is running late and to come back at another schedule time an hour later. Instead, we waited forever with no updates. Avoid unless needed. read more

This review is more in regard to the Pharmacy at this particular location. The staff of the actual store are great. They've always been very friendly and super willing to help and/or answer questions. The Pharmacy on the other hand, is not so great. Now don't get me wrong, not ALL of the pharmacy staff is bad. In particular we've had issues with a lack of having medication in stock and certain medications only coming in on certain days. I think this is a CVS policy though & not the fault of the staff. However, there have been multiple occasions where I have overheard a certain pharmacy member bad mouthing customers loud enough that I could hear it in the waiting area. This particular employee on multiple occasions has been rude to customers. In addition, one of the pharmacists who i've occasionally seen here seemed so annoyed that he was at work, much less had to help customers. At one point, he tossed my medications onto the counter towards me. This isn't the worst CVS in the area, but I will definitely not be coming back here. There really is no need to deal with bitchy, rude or annoyed staff, that have no business having a job in customer service. read more

Went to this store to return 2 items I had bought at another CVS yesterday. I had thrown out my receipt along with 3 other 4 foot long receipts from CVS. They said they would only give credit if it was CVS brand. I went back to the CVS on Shady Grove/ The clerk told me that CVS all over takes items back without a receipt but he had to scan my drivers license and then he gave me store credit. I will never go back to this store as the workers do not know store policy. read more

Insomnia was hitting me hard and since there isn't a lot of 24 hour stores to roam around I decided to pay this place a visit. Upon pulling up I only saw one car parked and I was a little scared to get out because the lighting wasn't so bright. I parked as close to the door as possible and walked up and viola the doors slide open and welcomed me in. The cashier greeted me as I entered and I begin to roam. This store has a lot of products, more products than the other locations in both directions. The only annoying thing was while roaming in cosmetics there would be this automatic message making an announcement something like, "our associates are notified of your presence in cosmetics..hit the red button for help." Since the store was empty, I was the only person shopping there at 2AM, it would startle me as I made my way up and down the aisles in cosmetics. Overall, this is a better CVS around Rockville. read more

This location has fresh fruits and vegetables for sale, and seems to have a higher end selection of skin care products. I went to the minute clinic last year and while it wasn't the most efficient, it was convenient and the NP or PA working there was great and knew a lot about different insurance coverages! Compared to other nearby CVS locations, this one excels. The employees here are not rude like the ones in the Town Square! This location also has an optical section. read more

I went into this CVS to buy a pregnancy test and some Zyrtec. I got to the cash register, and while paying the male cashier asked me how long it took to get a result - 5 hours, 5 minutes? A strange question, and also written on the box for anyone to read, but I answered. Then he asked me if I was taking the test so I could decide, "to carry or not carry" my baby. Yes, you read that right. This horrible employee asked me if I was going to get an abortion just because I bought a pregnancy test. Maybe I would just like to know if I'm pregnant, asshole. I've contacted management and I will be contacting corporate. Don't go here if you're planning on buying condoms, KY Jelly, Monistat, or pregnancy tests, or any other lady item that gives away the fact that you have a vagina ::gasp:: because you will be interrogated and judged. read more
