absolutely horrible experience i'm sick as a dog with the flu and i get prescribed xoflusa and i go to pick it up they make me wait 50 minutes i ask about my order and they tell me i can't get the prescription because they need to order it. A medicine that needs to be taken within 3 days. The price was also $180 which is insane for 1 singular pill. Unfortunately, the pharmacy at Main Street CVS is an understaffed $h1t show. The employees are generally frustrated, one pharmacist's keyboard doesn't have a functional letter 'W' on the keyboard (overheard that just now), people cut the line because they feel they're privileged (" I was here earlier" - yeah, we were all here earlier...) And they take a luxurious lunch in the afternoon and close down the pharmacy. Seek out alternatives at all costs. read more

Here's how this works. They send you a text that your prescription is ready. That is just to get you there. THEN after waiting on line to pick up the RX they tell you they will now "expedite" it and should be ready in an hour. "We don't know where those texts come from, call CVS.com". CVS Pharmacy, Main St., Ridgefield had my RX for over two weeks. Initially they texted me that they had to call my Dr., then when I stopped by to ask what the problem was they asked if I wanted them to order the medication! At no time did they reach out to me to say they could not find the medication which was prescribed. I finally told them to hold off, made a call to Walgreens in Ridgefield who had the med and transferred the RX the same day. This CVS pharmacy is woefully understaffed and not able to manage the workload with any type of care. Not fair to the pharmacists who have to work in this environment. read more

Just waited on hold for ONE HOUR to talk to a pharmacist about prescriptions sent to this location today 30 mins before they opened. The woman that answered (3 hours after prescriptions were sent) told me there was no record of them on my account. After calling my doctors, who confirmed they had been sent properly, I asked them to switch to Walgreens (according to them, Rite Aid is having problems too.) the customer service of the pharmacists at this location is so awful i felt compelled to leave a review, which i usually don't do. every phone call i've (unfortunately) had with the staff here has felt like a slap in the face. i know it's not personal, but to call my pharmacy and get interrupted, belittled, hurried, and hung up on is really discouraging when i want to trust that the people handling my MEDS are professionals. i've spoken to multiple staff members and have been met with the same treatment from all of them. i went in person to pick up my prescriptions and witnessed the chaos firsthand. there were 4 people working the pharmacy, and meds were all over the counter and on the floor. they kept shuffling customers back and forth between windows and seemed irritated with each other. it was a MESS. the second i walked up to the register i told the pharmacist my name and birthdate & was immediately told i wasn't in the system and to "move to the side." i feel like i was treated better by my server the time i ate at Dick's Restaurant, where the staff is literally paid to insult you. clearly this location is understaffed so i want to be empathetic towards them, but i find it hard to justify their treatment when i'm met with such unnecessary & blatant disrespect. If you want to fill a prescription, you better hope you don't need it the same day. excuses, excuses, and excuses all the time when you come to pickup your prescription after 6 hours it was placed. This is the worst pharmacy EVER. Last week my wife was being discharged from Stamford hospital (knee replacement) and the hospital's pharmacy had to call this CVS to confirm a prescription; they were on HOLD for 25 MINUTES before the CVS Pharmacist picked up the phone. That delayed our departure by 40 minutes, which meant the friend who was waiting at home to help her/us in had to leave. THEN, her MD sent a re-fill prescription for her PAIN meds to this CVS on 12/12, we never heard back so I called on 12/14 to be told they received the prescription but the pharmacist had a question about it and never filled it. This is PAIN medication, my wife was on her last dose by the time I finally got it filled yesterday. They had NO explanation for why they didn't fill it immediately, no clue, no valid reason. So disgraceful, and like other reviews I see, there's one specific woman at the pharmacy counter we hate to see and deal with, always a frown or sneer on her face. read more

I remember when this place was not a CVS. but in my personal experience with all departments in this cvs i have no complaints. this CVS has literally been serving my families food, drink, photo, toiletries, and meds for.. well since it WASN'T cvs hahah. i have been a smoker for he last seven years but oddly enough, right around when cvs started to exile tobacco....i ....QUIT i guess. no desire to buy a pack for over 2 months. Anyway i just wanna thank the people up there that we see all the time and know and love... thanks cvs....you should be able to get most everything you need here PS. the CVS generics for all items (food, drug, bath, drink) are RELIABLE and much less expensive in some cases its nice to be able to buy a "generic" box of peanuts for 5 bucks and also be able to grab a name brand product as well if i want luxury. It seems more products everyday there are going CVS generic ...id check it out. they changed the layout last year, everything's easier to see, lower to the ground...i think management is great (they were great before too :-) ) too.....sorry if this is a scattered review i just have a lot of good things to say about here read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I have gone into this store 4 times. Every time looking for formula for my baby. I go to the back get a card meaning it's in the store and go to check out and it is never in stock. Dragging two children in and out is a nightmare for them never to have anything in stock. Then the pharmacy has been looking into a medicine all day from 9am to then never get back to me. I call at 4 and they say it's being filled it will take another 2 hours for cream...for a newborn. Attitude from the staff. Ridiculous. Needless to say I will be switching pharmacies with better products service and nicer staff. read more

This is the worst pharmacy in town. And by far the most inefficient CVS I have been through. For the for the third time today I tried to get a flu shot in this pharmacy. The first time one minute prior to the pharmacy closing time the lady said she couldn't assist me as the pharmacy was closing. On the second time the guy told me that the pharmacy didn't have flu shots available. Now I just walked out because they informed me a 15 minute waiting process and when I talk to the attendant (which was the same that denied the flu shot 1 minute before the pharmacy closing) she told me that I had to wait 30 minutes for a simple flu short because the process is slow. This is easily the worst pharmacy that I have ever used in my entire life. The staff is consistently obnoxious inappropriate and hostile. Normally, I wouldn't go as far as to write a review but I have had to put up with this for a couple of years because my insurance only recognizes CVS Pharmacy. Sadly, they have me over a barrel. Today, I was greeted by a woman named Leah who was adversarial and nasty to begin with. Not even a hello--she snapped "Name!" and continued with the same unpleasant and downright nasty demeanor throughout the transaction. She incorrectly told me they only had one of my two prescriptions and that my doctor had not called it in. I politely asked her to check. She told me she "already did". I had to go all the way back home, phone my doctor only to find out that his office in fact HAD called it in on 3 days prior. When I called back I was put on hold for 25 minutes and the person answer the phone was just as obnoxious as Leah. She answered the phone with such aggression in her voice and when My tone matched hers, she had the audacity to confront me saying she would not take "attitude". Who do these people think they ARE? The prescription has indeed been called in and she put me on hold for another 10 minutes while she checked her stock. Seriously? Now I have to make yet another trip and interact with these nasty clerks again? These people have no business interacting with the public and should be ashamed of themselves for accepting paychecks and doing such a terrible job. I ADORE this CVS, especially the pharmacy staff. The pharmacists & their support staff are exceptionally attentive, sweet, & really goes the extra mile to care for their customers. Sadly, I should know, as my rather young but ailing body requires many (& often obscure) medications, and without the staff's incredible work I'd truly be up a creek. Ever since the Ridgefield Stop & Shop Pharmacy closed and my prescriptions were transferred to the Main Street Ridgefield CVS Pharmacy, I've had nothing but hassles getting my automatic refills. In August I spoke in person with the pharmacist to tell him that they had double-filled two of my prescriptions- and instead of a three month supply of 90 pills, I received180. The pharmacist said he would adjust the auto refill system so that wouldn't happen again, but then recently I got a notice that two more prescriptions were ready for pick up (the same medications). Had I filled those, I would've received 270 pills for each medication within a few months. After making three attempts to call CVS today, I got no answer. On the fourth try I got connected to the pharmacy and immediately got disconnected. On the fifth try I got through. Again, I spoke to the pharmacist and reported that the glitch hadn't been corrected. Altogether, very frustrating experience with CVS Main St. Ridgefield. More so, these types of errors could cause big problems in the wrong hands. read more

I brought my daughter to the minute clinic to get her a strep screen. It was 4:15 and one woman with her daughter waiting. The computer registration wouldn't register us because it said the wait was 45 minutes. The woman said that she was just getting flu shots so there's no way that was going to take over an hour. The PA came out and called the woman and I asked her if I could have my daughter with the 101 fever seen, all we needed was a strep screen. The reply was "no, these flu shots will take over 45 minutes and that will bring me to the end of clinic time at 5:30. There is no way on God's green earth that this would take 45 minutes. This was our first and LAST time coming here. What a waste of time read more

This place has a horrible prescription pickup system. I have picked up several over the last month and have had to wait up to a half hour! And one time prescription was not even ready although I had been advised it was via text a day earlier!! Find another pharmacy if you can. read more

My poor sister, a 17 year old girl, was just sweet enough to run in here to get baby wipes and food for my son. She was treated very rudely by the old lady behind the counter who questioned her purchases and got in her face about if it was HER baby she was buying food for. "PLEASE tell me this isn't for YOUR baby?!?" How ridiculously inappropriate is that!! This woman SERIOUSLY needs to mind her own business and not harass her customers! CVS Main St Ridgefield pharmacy staff is argumentative and unhelpful, contradicting word of the doctor's office, not proactive when it comes to problem solving, nor caring about their customers' well-being. Called in prescription refill to CVS Ridgefield Main Street and three business days later, refill still not ready, and the medically necessary remaining medication is now empty. Have called CVS (and my doctor) numerous times without resolution as of when I am writing this review. Doctor's office states that they never even received a request from CVS who claims they faxed. Bottom line: Need the medication and cannot just wait indefinitely. We are going into a long/holiday weekend and now doctor's office is closed. Specifically asked CVS if a small dose could be provided in the interim of getting this properly rectified and was told by Jess NO. Thanks! Appreciate that. Asked Jess what options were available and what she suggested and she advised to go to Urgent Care if necessary. Really?! Hopefully this doesn't result in emergency treatment. This is not the first time this has happened with this location, and was with an entirely different doctor's office, therefore, obviously the issue is not the doctors. read more

Unfortunately another CVS brand fail. I purchased Caliber Mounting Putty. It seems that whenever I need something, the only item is the CVS brand name. Now I know better than to purchase the CVS brand as I have been disappointed more often than not. This was no different. The problem is that they seldom have the brand name I want and I have hope that this CVS brand will be acceptable, mainly because I hate having to make another stop.
