If I could give this pharmacy tech 0 for customer service I would! She was very short with me on the phone. Not helpful at all.

New person who has moved to the USA. Very rude and poor communications from pharmacy and especially pharmacist. I was polite at all points in a telephone conversation, trying to understand what she was saying as she spoke in 'medical code' which is difficult for me to understand as someone who has moved from he UK. Despite doing through all the details on their automated systems and on their answer machine service, I was 'barked at' requesting the same information immediately and interrupted repeatedly as I tried to explain. Communication has been non-proactive and I have been left without important medication. I stated she was speaking to me very rudely and I was just trying to understand, and things improved slightly. But this was a very sad and discouraging experience. I will be looking to move my pharmacy. There is no need to be rude ever--and especially not to someone who is being polite and kind and needing help (and who has been pingponged back and forth for 10 days over a required medication). I got an text confirming a prescription is ready for picked at 1:24 p.m. There is a link in the text that takes me to the CVS website that also confirms the prescription is ready. On the same page, it shows that the pharmacy is opened until 6:00 p.m. I arrived at the CVS at 1:34 p.m. Pharmacy is closed. There is no sign. I only found out the pharmacy is closed for lunch when I asked one of the cashiers. I don't know who is responsible for the website information. But it is more frustrating to get wrong information than no information. read more

I want to commend the Nassau CVS staff for guidance on dealing with a high price prescription. My jaw dropped when I saw a bill for nearly $400 for one drug. The attending staff suggested I try Good RX, and the coupon reduced the total cost to $26! In a world of often confusing health care access, the folks at Nassau CVS are true health educators as well as providers. Particular commendation to Shashi who took the time to enter in not just that coupon but a second one as well; naturally there is a "process" and the first attempt to get the discount credited failed. Shashi's persistence, towards the end of a long shift I might add, eventually paid off. I know no one likes to wait, and the Nassau CVS handles a lot of traffic. My need to take a breath and be patient is well worth the investment as get to interact with a dedicated staff who desire to provide quality health care at the best price. read more

The entire pharmacy closed for lunch. I arrived shortly after they shut down and formed a line behind one other customer. 4 people lined up behind me. When they re-opened, the pharmacy took the customer in front of me. Then, I stepped to the counter as did a woman who was not in line. The person at the register said that he had to take her because she had been waiting. I explained that I and everyone else in the line had been waiting as well. The person still let the rude woman cut the line. If you are looking for a place that rewards rudeness, CVS on Nassau St. in Princeton is for you. read more

My review may be a bore: But the quick and dirty is: I don't go out of my way to visit this store. Always find the service just a bit too keen, I'm always followed about. Just trying to collect my Tide Pods and like the film, get out. I appreciate the sentiment, but I've found everything just fine, thanks. Now please let me carry on and pay for my Tom's and Spanx. I've got 30+ years experience with Boots, Superdrug, RiteAid. I just want to get it in and leave quickly after I've paid. Otherwise, never had a problem with the pharmacy. This CVS is conveniently located for local Princeton residents. The downside of it is parking if you have to drive. There aren't designated CVS customer parking spots. In general, I think CVS is overpriced for a lot of items, but they have everything you could need on a whim, so that's the benefit. Nowadays, doctors can send prescriptions directly to the pharmacy, which makes pick up very convenient. read more

I'm a little bit confused with the format of the store... The staff is pretty nice, but everything in the store is so tight and awkward. They do have the express checkout lanes, but it's weird because the staff just stand there and watch you without saying a word. I think they stopped using the regular cashier counter too. I mean, it's not the best CVS but it's also not the worst. The location is mad convenient though, so you have to give it that. Fun fact: there is one random bike rack in front of the store, but it's always filled with bikes. I'm not sure if it's because it's super busy in the area or people just forget their bikes even exist and leave it there for weeks on end. read more

I always put 15 minutes worth of coinage in the meter, and I always think it's enough because, hey, I'm just running in to pick up my prescription. Then I'm ALWAYS checking my watch like it's a race against the clock. For the most part, they are friendly and nice (there is one back there, I think a tech, not a pharmacist, who is always yelling at other staff people and is curt with the customers and generally unpleasant to deal with), but they are pretty slow. And the checkout procedure at the pharmacy in the back is a mess. There's a big pole in the middle of the 2 registers, which is awkward, and there are usually 5 people waiting in a tiny cramped area, to boot. I keep my prescriptions with them because it's easier to just have them refill my monthlies than have them transferred elsewhere. And it is close to my office. And one time I was in line behind Jeffrey Eugenides, which is kind of cool. But otherwise, I'd be totally outta there. read more

I had a single great experience here: I walked in one evening and explained that there was a prescription waiting for me in California but that I was visiting Princeton and needed a change of delivery site. No problem! The pharmacy dude went into the CVS database and snagged the prescription for me. He told me that it would be ready for pickup the next morning. Right on cue, I got a text message from CVS: "your order is available for pickup at 172 NASSAU STREET, PRINCETON." I walked by a few hours later and acquired my package without a wait. My story may seem unremarkable -- that's how things are supposed to work. We all know, however, that pharmacy pick-ups (especially in CVS pharmacies, actually) can be harrowing. Lines tend to be long, terminals can be down, orders get misplaced, people turn into monsters. The Princeton CVS did everything right for me -- at least on this one occasion. Had to wait over 2 weeks for my time-sensitive prescriptions to be filled, because CVS said they didn't have pre-authorization from my insurance even though I had filled the medication here many times before. I called my insurance company who said the pre-authorization was approved, yet each of the MANY times I called CVS they maintained that my medication didn't have authorization to go through. It took my insurance company calling CVS and basically forcing the prescriptions through for my medication to be finally filled. Very disappointed in the lack of care at this CVS, especially when it comes to prescriptions. read more

I am a nanny and used to be a regular at the yardley pa cvs and when the family I work for moved to Princeton I started going to the Princeton CVS. Smaller then yardley and no pet section, buts it on the best street in Princeton and I am sure the rent isn't cheap. The staff is really friendly and helpful and I find it hilarious that the negative reviews seem to be because the staff is so helpful and friendly. I guess we have become a society of people that don't like to be talked to. read more

Took an extremely long time to get my prescription and had to stand in multiple lines only for them to send me to another one. Ridiculous.

I live in a city and when I go to a suburban CVS I expect it to be vast and roomy. This one was, to be fair, in "downtown" Princeton, but it was long, narrow, and crowded-feeling. The aisles were cut in half and "stacked" in rows, so half the aisles were in the front, and the rest were behind them. So it took me a while to figure out where to go to find what I needed (pens, they were in the far back corner). A weird thing about suburban CVS is that there are no humans at the register. There's a register counter but it's deserted. There is just one human, a greeter, and three automated self-check-out registers - this they don't have in the city because they don't trust people not to steal stuff, I guess. I'm not used to this set up and it really bothered me--the human greeter standing there to be this machine of emotion, just producing a good mood by uttering pleasantries, while the actual work of the transaction was done by the customers themselves at the terminals. I felt really bothered about what's happening with jobs and automation and when I finished paying for my pens and the greeter said "have a good day" I didn't even turn to look at him, I just turned to the exit and left. I just wanted to try pressing the wrong buttons on the emotion machine to make it feel bad.. it was mean, and I knew it was mean when I did it but I did it anyway. I'm sorry. read more

The store itself is a little cozy and cluttered, but in terms of the pharmacy! WOW! Hands down, they have been the easiest I have ever worked with. And the head pharmacist, is amazing! He was so willing to share names of some great doctors in the area, since I was a transplant here. The staff is really patient and friendly, and they don't try to push name brands or try to push generic, which is refreshing. They are always prompt and when they say your drugs will be ready, they will be. Anyhow, I found them to be really professional and efficient. read more

Worst CVS ever! Pharmacy is a joke! I wouldn't be surprised to find out they are minimum wage store clerks and not actual pharmacists. I will be moving all my family's prescriptions to Walmart. This place is a poor excuse for a pharmacy. I usually love CVS, but I have had nothing but bad experiences here. Every single time I come for a refill, there is a new event that happens on their end. While I do usually like to give people the benefit of the doubt, and the pharmacists are not rude people, the lack of competency is beyond inexcusable. If you ever need to pick up an rX here, leave yourself 30 minutes. At least. This place needs a serious wake up call. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. read more

I've never been to this CVS and not had to wait in a very long line to checkout. They are always understaffed and have few employees on hand to help with anything. The only reason to go here is that it's the only convenience store/pharmacy in the area. read more

I have been a customer here for 15 years and am giving this 2 instead of 1 stars because the wait time/hassle of the general store has improved greatly since getting the self check out registers. The general store staff is also very friendly and helpful. The pharmacy...that's a different story. Sam, the head pharmacist is helpful, friendly, and all around wonderful. That said, this pharamacy gave me the incorrect perscription a month ago--it was only after I felt "off" for a couple days that I realized my dosage had been halfed. I returned the perscription with little issue and didnt think much more about it. Then, this month, one of my perscriptions was "lost" in their system. I was told no such perscription existed (despite multiple refills listed online). When I brought in their own bottle the next day showing the refills, the pharmacy tech Nicole gave me a look I'll never forget, pure distain. This tech is consistantly rude, loud, curt with customers, yelling at other staff, and all around acts like she hates your guts. She blamed my insurance company for them having no record of my previous perscription (nonsensical), and was very rude about it. She even mentioned to me how obnioxous my Dr's office was... Picking up a perscription is an experience, prepare to wait at least 10 min if there is even one person in line in front of you. This pharmacy has a captive audience being the only one downtown, and between the wrong perscriptions, lost perscriptions, misnamed perscriptions (they once insisted my perscription was my brothers), and rude main tech I dread my next refill...if they find it. read more

Have been there 3 times and my prescriptions are never ready when promised, and they act like you are wrong to expect it to be ready 2 hours after the promised time. Pharmacy needs serious improvement. Messages for prescriptions are left on voice mail, but the voice mail is not checked. Most of the time when you call the pharmacy the line is busy. More than twice, prescriptions were called for me, and not filled. A prescription was left on voicemail twice last Friday, was called in again this morning, and when I got there it was not yet filled. They could probably do a better job if they had another person working there and monitoring the calls. Disappointing because Rite Aid is no better. read more

worst cvs pharmacy of alllllll time!!!!!!! have called 16x today to place a prescription refill. each time i call a women keeps putting me on hold saying "hold" and leaves me on hold for over 15 minutes and does not even come to the phone. i then hang up and repeat the process. still i have not been able to get through. read more

The customer service at this pharmacy has become so poor that it is actively negligent and dangerous. I have lived around the corner for fifteen years and have always come to this branch, but can't do that anymore because they have become so bad. I have a child who requires two critical medicines, which are filled monthly. Knowing we would be spending six weeks in Germany, I got a "vacation override" from the insurance company, which meant that I could have more than one month supply. The pharmacist refused to fill the prescription; it took me over half an hour to persuade him to call the insurance company to check and find out that I could get the extra medication. Then, when I was in Germany, I got a phone call on my voice mail at 3 am in the morning saying that the next refill was ready and if I didn't pick them up they would be returned to the manufacturer. Since I wasn't going to be back in Princeton for another week, I tried to call the next day and was put on hold for over 15 minutes, when I finally gave up because it's very expensive to call from Germany for that long. I tried to call again and was again put on hold. There was no other way for me to contact the pharmacy to prevent them from cancelling a critical medication. read more

There are always extremely long lines here. If you think picking up a prescription will take 5 minutes, be sure to leave at least 30. The last time I was there they messed up my prescription and I had to wait on line for 20 minutes to talk to someone who could correct it. They will never fill a prescription while you wait. read more

I moved my prescriptions to CVS because Rite Aid was not so good. CVS promised to handle things correctly, well first prescription was not done correctly as to the amount of pills, and they would not correct it. The online prescription management feature on the website works well, but the website has no contact number , so I need to write this review on yelp. It's a strange store, the self checkout in front appears to move customers through very efficiently, with three employees standing there to help. The back check out at the pharmacy is an entirely different story, It's takes forever to get checked out. Five people waiting to pick up prescriptions can take 20 minutes. The cashiers are all right, but they need to enter way too much information into the register to check you out. Two registers are almost never manned by two employees. Long lines for RX pickups yet employees are standing around in the front of the store doing nothing. Prices on non-RX items are outrageous. Something like $2.37 for a 15ml vial of Vaseline. Get a larger container in the Dollar store for a buck. Utter greed. Rite Aid was actually better. Maybe I need to change to the new Integrative pharmacy, Sante, a few doors down. read more

Pharmacist Sam Procaccini was very difficult to deal with. He had a bad temper and took his frustrations out on me when he was having trouble figuring out how to process insurance on time. But processing insurance is part of his job. He did not seem comfortable with technology like the computer. read more
