CVS Pharmacy and I have a long history together. First of all, I use them as my bank because Capital One has partnered with them to allow cash deposits into my account. I am a server, so I deposit cash every week or so at this location. The staff is always super friendly and kind. I never wait very long to be assisted at the counter, and it's refreshing to see some of the same faces each week. I use this pharmacy for my brother's medications. The pharmacy employees are quick, and although they can be very busy at times, they still take the time to talk with you if you need assistance. The store itself is always well stocked with energy drinks and candy. You can also get passport photos here. Recommended for a quick stop if you need something or if you need to deposit money into your Capital One account. read more

This place always seems a bit more chaotic through the drive through. In the recent past, there have been times when the drive up window has been closed. I wasn't happy because I had to get my walker out of the car and then walk all the way back to the backend of the store to get my medicine. Other than that I am not complaining. The woman pharmacist you have working there at night needs to be re-trained on how to interact with customers. My husband had just left the ER, I drove 30 minutes to pick up his prescriptions, after trying to call them the whole time from 7pm to 8pm to make sure they were ready. In that time I could have had them transferred somewhere that IS going to be open. I get there at 8:20pm, because everywhere says they are open until 9pm, only to have her yell at me that they are closed. Some people coming to the pharmacy are upset and dont need the very people who are there to help them behave in such a way. She should not be in any customer service position at all. My whole family will be moving our prescriptions elsewhere. I never leave bad reviews. This woman deserves a zero. read more

Transferred all my prescriptions from CVS Poulsbo to Walmart. When Walmart said my ins. said it was too soon to refill I discovered CVS was still filling my refills (without my request, permission or knowledge) and submitting claims to my medicare insurance. CVS even sent one prescription to Safeway (who I have never had an account with and did not request) - I think this is fraud - however CVS Poulsbo is so bad it may just be their incompetence. Its a major task to unwind their screw ups. I used CVS in another City for years. I would recommend avoiding CVS in Poulsbo unless and until they get their act together. read more

I learned after i posted my first review that CVS purchased the very busy Kitsap Pharmacy but didn't tell their pharmacists (or add more staff) until the night before. What a dirty trick! The 3 stars is for the poor pharmacists who were slammed. Still not returning though. read more

I left a previous review and had had a lot of issues with this CVS for a while after the transition from Kitsap pharmacy. But in the past year or so they seem to have really pulled things together - prescriptions are filled smoothly and accurately, they're no longer understaffed, pharmacists are very helpful and communicative. Still hard to reach by phone at times but most importantly there are no more hiccups and they seem to have a great team there. read more

Today I got the excuse that "We are a week behind on prescriptions." I dropped my daughter's prescription off on Friday, it's now Sunday evening. I told the pharmacist that I need at least the antibiotic, he said he could not have it ready until tomorrow....3 days after it was called in. I've had the worst luck with this pharmacy. I only used it because it was preferred by my insurance. I'm going back to Safeway pharmacy where they know you by name, take great care of their patients. read more

ABSOLUTE RUBBISH This place takes the cake at wasting everyone's time and CVS as a larger entity makes efforts to push Rx's to the point of undermining insurance coverage. EXAMPLE: Pull up to drive-thru; first and only car 8:40 before any pharmacy interaction Asks name + birthday; confirms pending Rx's 5:20 provides Rx's 15 minutes. This is after sitting in line for 23 minutes the night before and having to pull out to pick up a child on time and leaving empty-handed. I think this is literally the worst drug store in all of Kitsap county. read more

This was our pharmacy for a year until insurance changed. They were professional, communicative and informed. I believe it's Tim, always on top of any questions we had. Did our vaccinations with him as well. Unfortunately, CVS is understaffed in this area... they have strict requirements and ultimately the pharmacy is running to meet the demands of the customer. If you haven't worked in a corporate setting, be mindful it is not easy. They don't allow time to talk about every ailment you may be dealing with. It's a business. read more

Just had to jump on the bandwagon, This CVS is awful. When the app tells you your scripts are "in process", don't believe it. They won't do a thing until you call or go in. This is the case even if your scripts are on auto-fill. Even when you go in, you sometimes have to wait up to 2 hours to get a script filled. This used to be a decent pharmacy, but no more. They are understaffed, unfriendly (and sometimes creepy) and care nothing for their customers. Can't believe CVS Corporate hasn't done anything about this. read more

For a second time in 6 months I stopped by CVS to pick up a prescription and was told my doctor didn't call it in. The first time I got all over my doctor for this despite him swearing he had called it in. This time they said the same thing which I knew was incorrect because I was sitting 5 feet from him when he called and left a message on their machine with my details. The last 4 months this pharmacy has been terrible. I order meds once s month and every time in the last 4 months there has been a problem. Put in my order online, get a reply that order will be ready on a certain date. Go to the pharmacy a day after it was supposed to be ready and they have no record of it. Waited over 40 minutes to get an order that should have been ready. Then pharmacist gives me a lecture on the strength of the dose I am taking which is doctor approved and I have been on for 10 years. Done with them. Moved my prescriptions to Walgreens. read more

Similar what others are saying. Ever since i switched over from Kitsap Pharmacy, they've never had my prescription on time. I even asked for them to auto fill and they still don't do it on time. Its hard to skip days where I don't take my medication and I have had to do so in several instances. It's very unfortunate and incredibly frustrating. I gave them one last chance to redeem themselves but the same exact thing happened as talked about in the previous paragraph. finally decided today I am going to switch over to another pharmacy because they are terrible at getting ahold of as well as communicating to their customers. read more

Consumer Value Store (It's original name), was founded in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1963 and now we have one here in Poulsbo. It's actually one of the only stand-alone stores in Kitsap County. After investigating online I found out that it is currently the largest pharmacy chain in the United States by number of locations (over 9,600 as of 2016). Pretty similar to Walgreens, CVS sells prescription drugs and a wide assortment of general merchandise, including over-the-counter drugs, beauty products and cosmetics, film and photo finishing services, seasonal merchandise, greeting cards, and convenience foods. This Newly built store has a nice layout to it and seems well maintained so far. Staff seems helpful and courteous. read more

I like everything else about this CVS except the pharmacist. I had the misfortune of having him be at the counter today. He barely spoke a word, was SO rude when I asked him basic questions, and literally never looked up. He should NEVER have contact with the public. Crossing my fingers they find a replacement who understands how to be courteous to customers - and who at least pretends to care. I dropped off my seven prescriptions mid-day and was told they would be ready the following morning. I returned next day to find only one prescription and that was not ready yet. I asked the disrespectful young man behind the counter to return the paper, prescription orders to me so I could go elsewhere. He first told me that I had only one prescription and it would be ready soon. I told him to skip that and find all seven orders. He took several minutes to find them buried under a large pile of papers and seemed surprised to see me turn and leave the store with my seven prescription orders. if I could give this cvs location in Poulsbo negative 5 stars I would. I was in town visiting from another state and I needed more blood pressure medicine, and I called this location over the span of several days and was kept on hold FOR OVER AN HOUR each time and they never answered. When I went in to see what the deal was, I heard the phone ringing off the hook and they ignored it saying "we are too busy to answer" when the place was completely dead. They are lazy, seem to take 30 minutes for each customer and several people in line said they are known for med mishaps. They need to get better, trained staff. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE read more

Horrible pharmacy. They bought out Kitsap Pharmacy a few months ago and the service is abysmal. I've been waiting 9 days for a prescription for Omeprazole, 3 days for another and 2 days for another. They don't answer the phone, most (not all) of the staff are rude and unapologetic for their inability to fill a prescription in a day or two (God forbid you need it today) and blame their inability to fill prescriptions on the buyout of Kitsap Pharmacy. I'll be moving my prescriptions anywhere else as soon as I get the scripts I'm waiting for. Don't go here!!! read more

Service at this location is terrible. Chronically understaffed. The pharmacy is hard to reach by phone (all automated), and consistently behind in filling prescriptions. No comparison with the (unfortunately closed) Kitsap Pharmacy's great service. read more

We live about two blocks from this pharmacy and it is convenient for us to call in our medication refills and pick them up through the drive through window. For the past six months or more, the call-in order does not work - we give the correct information and the automated voice says they can't submit it. So we try to call it in directly which leads us to the screeching recorded music - once we waited 20 minutes, the next times 15 and 25 minutes without the phone being answered at all. We now drive through to give our order and come back to pick it up (when it's ready, usually this takes 2-3 trips). The tech told us that CVS has bought out another drug store and they have been over run with the transferred customers with no additional help. Thinking of changing pharmacies except that the folks here really are nice. read more

Been using this pharmacy for over a year now. It used to be ok, but recently we've had an issue with refills. When I call in to order a refill and they need to contact the doctor for a refill order, it turns out they don't. I wait days, call CVS, am told they sent the refill request to the doctor and never got a response. This has happened with my RX and my daughter's Rx now. Two different doctors and different offices. Both times I called the doctor's office and turns out the requests were NEVER SENT by CVS. I once called back to CVS and talked to the pharmacy manager who insisted they do send requests and I am mistaken. NO, not when two separate doctor offices confirm. I'm transferring my prescriptions to another pharmacy. This is not how you treat customers. read more

Unprofessional pharmacy. They WILL talk loudly about the details of your prescription at the counter. They WILL have trouble using their computer and finding your account history. They WILL get confused about your insurance coverage and your order. They WILL NOT fill your prescription in a professional manner. read more

Be cautious. We all have different ideas of what good customer service should look like. In my opinion, this pharmacy does not meet the mark. It can be dangerous when you are given the wrong medication. This has happened three times at this pharmacy. The most recent incident has taken days to resolve because they did not have the correct item in stock. I received a call that the perscription was ready. It was not. I made a second trip - still not ready. The cashier brought the situation to the pharmacist's attention. He replied that it was too bad. Another customer had called in a perscription and would be at the drive through any minute. I explained that this was getting critical and that I needed it. The pharmacist was quite specific that he understood, but he couldn't help me. So much for correcting a wrong and making it right. CVS made an error, and I am the one who has to go without the medication, making multiple trips until my prescription rises to the level of being important. Time to move my prescriptions to another drugstore. If you do business here, just be sure to check everything and make sure you have enough to get you through if a mistake is made and they have trouble getting to you. read more

I came in three weeks ago to alert the pharmacy to the fact I moved to town and my prescriptions would be coming one of which typically needs to be ordered. Today I stopped to pick the prescriptions up. They are not only not ready the pharmacist is condescending and more concerned with working the window than filling prescriptions. I do get my prescriptions here. And generally find it ok. But on a Sunday they do not staff the pharmacy properly. I waited 17 minutes at the drive through because the pharmacist was the only person working. I feel for the guy and have no complaint about him. I have only one prescription that I fill there because it is way overpriced. I called in for a refill. I drove in to pick it up and there were two other vehicles in front of me. I waited for 15 minutes or more and then finally blew my horn (beep beep), just to let them know that there were other customers waiting. When I finally got to the window, I asked the young lady what took so long and she replied, "This is a pharmacy and sometimes it takes awhile". Really? And I thought this was Starbucks. I got my prescription but there was no courtesy extended. At the end, I asked her if she had ever heard of the words please or thank you? She then told me that it was highly inappropriate for me to honk my horn. I said that I didn't need etiquette lessons and left. Today, Josh from the store calls me and tells me to find a new pharmacy to fill my prescriptions!!! Really? I'm a Pharmacy Technician and work at a well known box chain. My prescription coverage is through Caremark with my previous employer. I'm so happy to not be relegated to mail order any longer now that the Poulsbo store is open. The pharmacy staff are absolutely the best around, the wait times aren't long, and my order is always ready on time. read more
