It's a CVS. Size is average compared to others. They offer a huge assortment of products, plus the pharmacy, photo prints, an ATM and they have a self checkout option. Prices here are standard CVS prices - which means rough. However, you can watch for sales, plus rewards and you'll sometimes get a great deal. I don't use the pharmacy here, but I've ordered photo prints online and picked up in store often. It's a breeze and quality always meets expectations. The ATM is very convenient in the store. You'll find it near the entrance. Also close to the exit are self checkout options, newspapers for sale and seasonal items... Even flowers. read more

2.5: Fine if you're going here to pick up the usual pharmacy stuff but they often don't have the best prices. Their pharmacy is more like a 2. They seem unable to handle different types of prescriptions, even when it's not the first (or fourth) time filling there. They also messed up another prescription and overbilled. It was a pain to get that refund. They also go out for lunch during lunchtime. They can't have only one person working so why not rotate and not leave all at once? read more

Worst CVS out of all of them in Rockland. Doesn't have my prescriptions in stock, but never lets me know that either. You get a text and phone call from the automated system, telling you to pick up your prescriptions - they are ready. Then you get there, wait, and they are clueless. They never filled them, they don't have any, and they can't order it. Unbelievable. I've also had a pharmacist "Nela" tell me I wasn't using a prescription correctly, and challenged my doctor's dosing directions. She yelled at me and told ME I needed to call my doctor. If she has an issue with a script, SHE needs to talk to the doctor, not ME. She was completely wrong yet unapologetic. Nasty rude incompetent person. This absolute travesty of a pharmacy deserves no stars. I intend to report them to NY State for several violations, as my NY State health proxy has advised me to do, and is helping me with the forms and submissions. No pharmacist has the right to override dosing instructions provided by an MD. Find somewhere else for a pharmacy! If you need aspirin and cosmetics etc, the prices are fine - but DO NOT trust these nasty morons with your prescription medications! read more

Need to discuss with pharmacist -& can't physically get to store it's sensitive and all I get is the recording - Sad Went in yesterday to pick up prescription-usual confusion at register and slugged off to one person after another but the worst? There were folks at pharmacy counter not wearing masks! And chatting happily with staff-no one but me questioned this and I got a really negative response -like I'm the loser for asking that masks be mandated at a gd drug store -no wonder Covid cases and deaths escalate in SWFL?! read more

They obviously don't read or respond to reviews, this is one of the poorly run stores I've ever dealt with. The pharmacy is as slow as can be, the automatic checkout are always broken and when the machine tells you that someone will be with you to assist the people behind the counter act as if nothing is going on. The Pharmacy here is awful. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt of being short staffed. I waited two days for my daughter's prescription. We called but they said they were running behind, fine... it's cream for a bad rash. We finally got called that it was ready. My husband got in line at 5:30... at 6, with four people still ahead of him, they pulled down the cage to close. We will definitely be looking elsewhere for our prescription and urge others who may have seriously medical conditions that rely on their prescriptions to do the same. read more

Came here for my daughter's Covid booster that she was pre registered for. It was busy, and we got there a few minutes before the appointment. The pharmacist was called to check us in, asked us to step aside then proceeded to help the other 10 customers in line. 40 minutes later she finally came to administer the vaccine. If you want a reputable, RESPONSIBLE pharmacy, DO NOT GO TO CVS Pearl River, NY. Recently I had a prescription filled by my eye dr via internet. I asked for it (restatis) to be ordered in vials rather than in bottles.Having no reason to think my prescription would not be filled as prescribed, my husband went to pick it up. Unfortunately, the prescription was filled in bottle form rather than the vials the dr. had ordered. I tried phoning the pharmacy to inquire but was put on hold for 30 min. I tried phoning again 4 other times only to be placed on hold each time. Went to the pharmacy for an explanation only to have the pharmacist print out the prescription and throw it at me stating "that's how it was prescribed." She would not discuss it and told me corporate is well aware of their inability to answer phones due to workman shortages. Looking at the prescription it clearly said to be filled in vials. Mind you, it cost me $60 for an incorrect prescription. I reported Pearl River CVS to their corporate office who tried to help me but could not get CVS Pearl River to answer their phone. Because of this, they reported the incident to a higher authority. I got a phone call from Caremark CVS which ended up to be a mid level authority who only wanted to apologize and had no further authority. At this point Sondra, the Caremark rep, advised me yet another CVS person will be calling, this time a regional manager. She did not know their name when asked. Incompetence reigns in CVS on multiple levels. People who are supposed to be able to help with medications are merely a sham show. If they truly cared about helping people with medications, they would be ready, willing and able to answer questions etc regarding meds instead of shirking their responsibility where a persons health could be at risk. read more

Been with CVS for years and always have had problems. Wrong medication always something. Now my insurance has changed and I found out they don't accept my insurance. I was assured that all of my medications would be transferred to the new pharmacy. I'm now without my heart medication for two day because they failed to transfer. The new pharmacy has to call CVS to get them to transfer. Unbelievable! read more

The pharmacy is going down hill fast they are never stocked with your pills they can't get your insurance right. when you call there corp office to complain they are no help and you problem gets worse. they love to send text message to your phone telling you your order is ready and you didn't order anything. they play to many games with you. and you now have to make another trip there to pick up your order. This place is the worst. Horribly understaffed, rude pharmacy techs and long, long lines at all hours of the day. The extent to which CVS price gouges for generic medications is astounding. The pharmacy tech Donnamarie literally rolled her eyes at me, refused to accept a coupon which another CVS pharmacist had told me to use earlier in the day, made me wait on line four times and then told me the coupon was applied when it totally wasn't. No, sorry, I don't want to pay $80 for a prescription that is $20 elsewhere. The pharmacy techs act like they're better than you -- one would think they'd have a little compassion for the uninsured / underinsured being as I doubt they're rolling in the dough themselves. For the life of me I can't of understand why people go here. Totally apart from the cost of generics, the price of everything else in the store is similarly staggering. What are they even spending this revenue on? The checkout counters aren't even manned by humans anymore, and they're certainly not investing in pharmacy staff. Idk how this place survives with Shop Rite across the street. Want a decent, competent pharmacy with reasonable staff? Go to that guy Uday at the Palisades Center Target. Unfortunately it's now a CVS too, so their prices will probably shoot to the moon as well, but the service is always miles above this place. read more

Not only did they get my pharmacy order wrong which could be very dangerous, they said the wrong item was back ordered for 3 weeks. Luckily it was only swimmer's ear but WTF. Never trust this place to do anything correct. Risking your life by going to this pharmacy. wow - I just came out here to get their phone number. I LOVE stopping in there because they have a little bit of everything. You can almost do light food shopping there, in/out 5 minutes. Horrible. I've never once had a good experience at this pharmacy. Medication is never ready in a timely manner. Had a prescription called in by a doctor today and three hours later went to pick it up and was told by the pharmacist that it was never received. Called the doctor and the doctor said it was sent successfully. Sent it again. Same response an hour later that they never received it. Had it sent to a nearby pharmacy instead and the medication was ready in 20 minutes. Terrible service. read more

I go today to pick up a few things on sale along with other items that I needed. Went to pay and there's a huge line as usual. Finally it's my turn and the guy rings me up and I ask to put in my phone number so I can get the sale price. I put it in and he said it doesn't work and he tells me the total price w out the sales. I tell him I am buying these items because they are on sale and I don't want to pay full price. He gets annoyed and moves to another register and tells me to bring my stuff over. Not professional, but whatever I do it. I put my number in again, and again he says it's not working, the system is not accepting the extracare cards. Doesn't apologize just proceeds to ring me up again w no solution other then to pay full price. I needed cough medicine for my baby as well as tissues so I had no choice but to purchase those but told him I'm not taking the other items. No apologies, no thank you or have a nice day. DO NOT GO TO THIS CVS. LET US SEE IF WE CAN CLOSE IT DOWN! I'm not sure if you all know but apparently the Pharmacist thinks she's a doctor at this cvs store on North Middletown Rd in Pearl River. I was trying to fill a prescription for my condition of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). I contacted CVS as another Pharmacy was out of the medication (Plaquenil) and they advised me yesterday that yes they had it in stock and that i could pick it up the next day. I went into the pharmacy today, and they didn't have a prescription for me and went to check, they advised me to i needed to chat with the Pharmacist so i did. She informed me that i never filled the prescription there before and they would not be filling it for me their now - how nice that she knows better of my needs then my doctor who specializes in RA. To add a major insult to my injury, knowing that they were not going to fill it for me, do you think that they would have the common courtesy of calling me so that i didn't have to walk into the petri dish of filthy store. I have a weakened immune system do to my RA meds - but i guess the clever pharmacist isn't as clever as she thinks. I will post to yelp everyday with the same. read more

The worst pharmacy ever. Long waits short handed rude staff. You will probably get over your illness before you get your percription filled

This is by far the worst pharmacy that I have ever used. All I have had is issues with the service. Problem 1. I ordered a medication, I am told it is not in stock but they will be able to fill the order within 24 hours. Ok fine, no problem. I call back 24 hours later for the medication. They say it is still not in stock, I begin to get frustrated but I am told that it will be in tomorrow. So I call back again, this time I am told that because they did not have the medication in stock my order was cancelled. How is a MEDICATION order cancelled???? And to reorder it it will take 5+ days to get it filled. Problem 2. Same medication that is needed monthly- order was called in and I received a message that my medication is ready. I go to the pharmacy and they lost it. How do you lose a medication. It took them 15 minutes to figure out to just refill the medication. Problem 3. Doctors office calls in a medication, now because I have zero faith in this pharmacy, I called and asked if the medication is in stock in the store. I was reassured that the medication is in stock and my order will be ready in one hour to pick up. I called over five hours later to make sure my medication was ready. And guess what-they told me the medication is not in stock, it needs to be ordered and I can't get my medication until Monday (today is Friday). The medication is needed for tomorrow-doctors orders. After I am now frantically calling my doctors office and trying another pharmacy, CVS calls back and tells me they lost my original order and it was now found and filled and ready to go. Organize yourselves, how are you suppose to be trusted by administering drugs when you have lost two separate medications. The public trusts you to administer the correct medication, how can I even trust that? Get your act together. You don't even deserve one star, but I can't post this review without giving you one. I am happily finding another pharmacy. Good luck to any one that uses this CVS pharmacy. Be careful who you trust with your medications. read more

Busted a mean bunny hop up on the curb on my razor scooter. Locked it up outside and walked right in to CBS. Grabbed a cart and bought so much brisk. Felt like getting loose later so did grab a 6 pack of schlitz. Got my entire weekend at Ozzfest developed mad quick. Hindereds of pics. What a great photo lab! So many photos of my men's group wearing corpse paint. Hope they don't think I'm mad weird. Did grab about 19 bottles of axe to stock up on. Stopped by and small talked with the pharmacist for about a half hour. Asked him all kinds of questions regarding the American pharmaceutical industy. Went up to the cash counter and bought some cigars for tomorrow morning. Sales team were great. Commented on my goonies ringer tee. Great pharmacy and great customer serfice. read more

I waited 2 hours after the prescription was send from my doctor because I know they are slow. To my surprise I got there and still was not ready I had to wait another 30 minutes, I am always very understanding but I can't no longer understand a 2:30 hour wait for 1 prescription of 15 pills for pain killer. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. They are the worst pharmacy in all of Rockland. I've had constant issues with them, from text saying prescriptions were ready and not being there. To the pharmacy DELIBERATELY restocking a prescription that the pharmacists deemed too expensive for me. I'm sorry, when does a pharmacist decide a prescription is too expensive for a customer?! Now today, I dealt with a woman, whom I had difficulties with in the past, tell me, a week after a prescription was set in, that they told my doctor it needed prior authorization. This is after I reached out to my doctor and was informed that CVS never sent them anything. Yet, the woman at CVS swears that it was, tells me she is re-sending it and faxing it, then proceeds to tell me she will text me and show me they are informing people. And as she sat their berating me, I told her, nope no texts came through. That's when I was told she did all she could. I hung up after that. They have no care to help anyone read more

I ordered photos online at CVS.com a night or so ago and received an email letting me know that they were printed and ready so i stopped by this location to pick them up. The lady at the photo counter was to begin with very uninterested and less than pleasant at the start of the experience when she asked for me name. I brushed it off as nothing since i saw she seemed busy and i know what working retail during the holidays can be. Upon giving my name to her she looked in the system and told me she had nothing by that name. I pulled up my confirmation email to show her in case that was any help but she didnt even want to look at that or the order number saying that it would be of no help. Instead of trying to help me figure out why my photos werent ready she just seemed matter of fact that that was all she was helping me with. She did say a lady earlier had, had the same problem and they probably were still sitting in my shopping cart. So i asked if i could pull it up on my phone and see if i could fix the problem. She replied with a short NO, and that i would have to go back to the original computer to fix the issue. I tried to ask for the reasoning and find out if there was another way to fix this but she seemed like she just wanted to get rid of me, she just kept telling me to go back to my home computer and check my shopping cart, with no further instructions on what else to do. As her attitude told me I was wasting her time and she couldn't be bothered anymore with my problem (which I in no way blamed or suggested that was her fault as i understand technical difficulties in this day and age) . I asked for her name and she seemed to get kind of annoyed and set off and looked up with a fake smile and told me Robin, upon asking for her last name she got even shorter and told me I didn't need her last name that she was in fact the store manager. She then proceeded to very clearly sarcastically tell me to "HAVE A GREAT DAY" the way someone would if they were clearly agitated but couldn't express their feelings. At this point I would like to say I never raised my voice or blamed her for the problem I simply wanted her assistance in fixing it and when she appeared to be of no help, and didnt want to even try to help, i simply told her I wanted to put a call in. I have been a retail manager and I understand how stressful it can be however, from the start this woman didnt seem to want to help in any way. She just told me flatly I had to go home to fix the issue. I left it at that. HERES WHERE IT GETS EVEN BETTER AND THE REAL REASON I CALLED CVS CORPORATE Despite her awfully negative attitude I proceeded to go wait in line not even 5 feet away from her photo desk. I was very annoyed but with her un helpfulness but knew i wouldn't get anything helpful from her so I had planned to call CVS help after to see what happened, with no intention of actually filing a complaint as at that point it would have been silly and uncalled for. She was just an unhappy negative person. As i was waiting in line, in full sight of her, she proceeded to gossip about me with another CVS customer. She didn't whisper or try to hide the fact that she was complaining about her interaction with me in public. She was saying how i was blaming her for my issues and got angry with her. Completely unprofessional!!!! Even if i had raised my voice or blamed her for the issues or was unreasonable in my dealings that was completely uncalled for and a terrible example for a "MANAGER" to make. I called CVS Home Office after the incident and Casey was wonderfully helpful. A+++++ Customer Service from her. Today I called the CVS back to see what to do as my order status never changed from In Process and low and behold i got Robin on the phone in the photo center. After telling her my problem she proceeded to ask if i was the "Angry" customer from the day before. Completely Unprofessional again.. No matter what a "Manager" or any employee should EVER act like that. She then tried to justify her unhelpful actions from the day before. When i relayed the information that i did not need to be at my original computer to see the issue she informed again that she has been the "Manager" there for years and she knows how it goes. Very short and rudely. Ive been a retail manager and ive been wrong and i can admit i dont know everything. She then procedded to finally give me the information i needed to fix the problem. If she had given me that info yesterday i would have been very happy and pleased. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The pharmacy is an absolute disaster. Nothing is ever filled on time. They are totally understaffed. If you are expecting to be helped at the drive thru in a reasonable amount of time, boy will you be surprised. I've heard tell of CVS stores where they will even bring OTC goods to you at the drive through. Here I'm just amazed if I'm helped at all! It's a disgrace. read more

Sadly this pharmacy is careless and incompetent. Have had many situations where prescriptions took almost 24 hours to fill despite receiving txt messages that prescriptions were ready. Yesterday was the moment I decided to never use this pharmacy again. My doctor called a prescription in while I sat in his office . Eight hours later they had no record of the prescription . I returned with the original written prescription and when I returned to pick up, had lost it! The response was " the doctor never called it in", even though I sat with him while he did so... And they insisted they never got the written one. Clearly they are either grossly understaffed with pharmacists and technicians and/or no one particularly cares.... This location is no exception 2) my response to why noone should give a great deal of latitude to certain remarks made by previous authors contained herein 3) my personal review based on my consistant experience over several years although I do not frequent this location due to dozens of pharmacies much closer. 1) Get a grip people !! Did I hear one person remark how convenient it is to have a 24 hr Rx where you can go after work or on a Sun eve whereas many places close at 3 friggin o'clock on a day I sometimes sleep in? Nope..not one person until I had to shed the light on the benefit of an always accessible store. You do not need to wait until the morning after to get your morning after pill any longer, as they are always open & always have sufficient stock. 2) The first guy is so stoned he doesn't know what he is saying. How can anyone take him seriously. Everyone seems to agree that the Rx tech takes a great deal of time to speak with customers (or in stoned guys case anyone that walks up to them to talk). I just spoke with a Rx tech who spent considerable time telling me very useful info. Never came across a tech that actually recommended meds or gave medical advise as to how i am on the wrong meds and what my symptoms require . I hate the standard go to the emergency room, then the staff considers your issue last on the list of importance then once u see a doc ur sent away and referred a general practicioner who cant figure out whats causing the symptom in 1st place and hospital staff "can't do any diagnostics. The next genius has to opt out of the auto call to inform when the rx is ready to pick up coz they call to much. If you answer the phone and pick it up in reasonable time they will only call back if you do not answer or wait too long to pick it up. The genie THEN states he calls to inquire on status despite enrolled in the auto notification and surprise when he arrives it's not ready coz he failed to wait for the auto call with the official notice. The store scans in the papers so its hard to lose, also the store upon hire have employees go through tedious customer service videos and training manual. Not all staff follow it but the author doesnt seem to follow logic that if the auto call didn't come in then the order isn't ready. If you do not answer the call, they call again until you pick it up. you get reminders because the law states if you d not come to pick it up within 7 days, on the we hours of the 8th day they much take the order and put it back on the shelf, then u have to go back to doc for a new paper and re-start the whole process. Now you've been schooled. No such thing as a stupid question only stupid stoner. I wish parents would train thier children better. 3) Since its a 24 hr place it would make sense to avoid busy times and go in the middle of the night when noone is there. I do however agree with all that numerous "big stores" have 10 ppl working there yet with noone ahead of u it takes 20, 60 or 90 min to count pills. And just exactly what are those ten ppl so diligently working on while you're waiting til your hair stands grey. I agree that the policy of filling orders for the oldest order first for customers that aren't anywhere near the store meanwhile they could serve the customers aging before thier eyes. My pharmacy takes your script in one hand, turns around and hands you your order in the other hand. You barely have time to turn around. It doesn't add up that absent 50 customers dropping off scripts at any given moment why the staff cant process the data entry then hop to it and count your pills, throw them in a container, slap a label on it, toss it in a bag, staple it and ring you up at the register all in 5 min or less. Even if ten customers walk in, remember we observed ten techs diligently working away at something that they seemingly are an hour backed up on. Maybe coz they were texting thier friends, doing crossword puzzles or walking around with thier hands down thier pants. Gimme a break. Someone explain this process. One day i wanna stand thier from the moment they open and count how many orders they get at one time, and witness what legnthy process takes place to justify the one hour wait time. They must have OCD and have to double and triple count then pass it down the assembly line to the other 9 techs to each double and triple reconfirm. Imagine Burger King took 100 orders then told the customer to come back in an hour coz the 1o workers were diligently working on orders from the previous hour yet theres noone in the lobby. read more

THE most unprofessional drugstore I've ever seen. They answer to noone forget any customer service. It shouuld be customer disservice. The normal wait for someone to pick up the phone in pharmacy is at least 10 mins. - IF they pick it up at all. Since the last Pharm. Mgr left it is evidentally NOT being overseen. My recent script was lost in the pharmacy after I dropped it off and the blase response I rec'd was "oh well". The store itself has never trained nor expected its cashiers to have any sense of customer service-commonly focused more on their own personal matters than focusing on customer attention. This is now spread into the pharmacy appartently. Aside from the occasional store clerk here who is customer & work focused, it is otherwise apparent that the unprofessional attitudes transcend from the management of this particular store. You will do MUCH MUCH better at the Orangeburg or Montvale location - if not Shop Rite Pharmacy or the other new one in Pearl River. read more
