This is a great store with prices that are often significantly lower than cvs or Walgreens, especially for prescriptions and some of the behind the counter nasal decongestants. After trying cvs because it was next to my doctor's office for a prescription, I waited 15 mins in line to then be told this is out of stock and will need to be ordered. I asked them it transfer it to Jones and what a surprise, they had it and I picked it up 5 mins later on the way home. Don't think that the big guys are cheaper with bigger selection, it just isn't true. Jones is the type of place I hope never disappears, it's a community icon and I love supporting it.

Called before closing time yesterday but…read morewith the 20 minute hold time following the automated prompts caused me to not speak to a person until 7PM. Their reply was that they were closed and could not help. Today, I spent 24 minutes again on hold before getting a person to confirm that my prescription was placed and being filled. The tech let us know that the script "would be ready in an hour or so". Of course when I got there, after waiting 15 minutes for 2 people ahead of me to be the tech informed me that they did not have my prescription and I would have to go to commack to fill it. They would not be able to contact that Walgreens and I would have to. I went across the street to CVS to pay out of network for the prescription instead and Walgreens could not successfully transfer the prescription to the CVS pharmacist after over an hour on the phone with them. I am going to call corporate tomorrow and put in a formal complaint with the BBB after this terrible experience. Walgreens should be ASHAMED with their customer service and I would not recommend anyone go to this pharmacy.

If you ask someone to help you with checkout, they will lead you back to the self-checkout machine . There is no escape. This is not bad enough, so these machines are programmed to think that the customer is trying to rob them. This adds a layer of hostility to the checkout process. Oh goody. Apparently, CVS thinks this is the way to go.So they decided to add terminals to the pharmacy department. There is still an employee there so I don't really know what the purpose of these terminals are , except to aggravate customers who don't want to be part of their machine. For me this is the final straw, I have decided to take my business to a local pharmacy.

How is that my wife and I had the exact opposite experience as all these people have had? Well, when the owners of said business decide to sell it two weeks after you enroll your prescriptions. So basically, you can pretty much disregard all of the reviews up until November 2025, as they were posted under Town Pharmacy's previous family-owned front. I don't know who these new guys are, but this place is as hot of a mess as it gets. Nobody currently working here seems to have any idea what they're doing. They consistently get confused. I've called three times asking to have the same two prescriptions refilled and delivered to my home. Each time, nothing was done. In one instance, someone answered and asked me to "Call my doctor to get the ball rolling" while he worked on getting my order. Uhh...isn't that what I just called YOU to do? The venerable icing on the cake was one morning when my wife called to order her insulin. She was told it would be delivered same-day. Gets a callback a little time later: "Sorry, it's too dark out. Someone will come tomorrow." It was 4pm. My wife and I were left speechless. Until, and IF, this place gets its act together, I'd avoid this pharmacy. Already, reluctantly, in the process of moving my scrips to Walgreens.
