These reviews are very outdated thought I'd give an update one. This is my local CVS, as I've recently moved to the area. I don't frequent this location often but the handful of times I have, I had no complaints. I never realized they were 24 hours and stopped by early morning (around 5am). They had a security guard which I've never seen before but I can't imagine how many characters they receive throughout the night. Grabbed my items ... checked out with no problems. I do think the layout of the register is pretty awkward. I went in through the parking lot but at the register once you check out the line leads you to the sidewalk entrance by the road. I had to walk to the other side of the store to go back to my car. Very odd. I won't give less stars for that because the workers didn't engineer the layout. This review is about my current experience only. There was a guy in front of my in line who couldn't really seem to get himself together. Battled prices, kept walking away (in the middle of being rang up). I wasn't in a rush so I just patiently waited. But after walking away for a second of third time the cashier Sharon (name on receipt) decided to cancel his transaction and ring me up instead. Greatly appreciated! She also had way more patience than I would've had with the gentleman. Working overnight is challenging already I'm sure, kudos to her for her patience. read more

CVS Pharmacy - the front of the building - Drugstores Near Me - Miami, Florida

Very disappointing experience because of the cashier, who is extremely rude and unpleasant with customers. I noticed her attitude the first time I came, but during my second visit, it was even worse. She actually talked about me in front of other customers, saying that I wanted to try a product and that it had put her in a bad mood. However, trying a product before buying it is completely normal and it is my right as a customer. If it bothered her that much, she could have simply refused instead of being so rude and talking about me in front of everyone. When you work with customers, a minimum level of respect and professionalism is expected. I would honestly advise her to find another job if she is unable to be pleasant and respectful towards customers. This is completely unacceptable. Personally, I will not be coming back to this store because of this cashier. I don't know the cashier's name, but I'm sure you'll quickly know exactly who I'm talking about. read more

I hate to have to write this, but it needs to be said. My hope is that this can serve as a learning opportunity for the CVS pharmacy team. On June 3, I had an experience at your pharmacy unlike anything I have ever experienced before. I have never felt judged or discriminated against for simply inquiring about the cost of my medication. I live with a health condition that I have struggled with for most of my life. Because medication costs can vary significantly between pharmacies, I asked about the price of my prescription. At another pharmacy that requires me to drive instead of walk, I pay substantially less for the same medication. When I asked the pharmacy employee who identified himself as Gray about the cost, his response and demeanor were deeply upsetting. He looked me up and down and said, "Is $18.99 expensive?" The tone, facial expression, and the way the question was delivered felt dismissive, judgmental, and humiliating. No one should be made to feel ashamed for asking about the cost of their medication. You never know what someone is going through financially, medically, or emotionally. A pharmacy should be a place where patients feel supported and treated with dignity, especially when managing ongoing health conditions. What happened was hurtful and unacceptable. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to remind staff that empathy, professionalism, and respect should be extended to every patient, regardless of the cost of the medication they are picking up. The CVS app and the pharmacy seem to differ in information quite often. It gets very frustrating when the app says one thing and the pharmacy says another. The app says we are processing the RX and the pharmacy says we are out of stock for 2 weeks. I have started ordering my refills 10 days in advance and pray they will be there before I run out of pills. read more

I have received the wrong prescription which could be deadly, I luckily read the printout. Most months they are out so you can wait a few days or a week. Two months ago, I was told I had already picked up my prescription so they would not release a "new one". My medication is schedule 4 and you need ID in order to receive it. I was told that if I didn't move from the drive-thru they would call the police. I had to completely lose it on them until they realized they made a mistake and handed me the prescription, this took 3 hours. They are understaffed, rude and untrained. CVS has closed multiple stores in Florida with more to come. If you have a choice, go anywhere else because if you really need your medication, you can not count on getting it when needed. read more

We get all of our prescriptions from CVS. Between my husband and I, I'm at our normal CVS about once a month or so. Our pharmacist knows me. Our pharmacist is amazing. When we are out of town, we go to whatever CVS is nearby. Our experience at this CVS was awful. My husband's doctor sent over his prescription on 12/22. The CVS app said they couldn't fill it until 12/27 because of our insurance. So we waited until 12/27. On that day, it said it was in process. So we tried to call to see when it would be ready. No one answers the phone. We waited for 30 minutes before giving up. So we drove there. When we get there we're told that they won't have it in stock until 12/30. So even though they had the prescription for a full week, they didn't order it so they could fill it on time. Additionally, the pharmacist lied and said she spoke to my husband on the phone. He had no missed call, no voicemail, and certainly did not speak to anyone on the phone. So on 12/30, we try calling again. Same thing, they don't answer the phone. The only way to find anything out from them is to show up in person. So now they say it won't be in stock until 12/31. On 12/31 we don't even bother calling. We show up at 3pm and they say they have it but we have to come back at 7 because it's not ready. Every other CVS I've been to will just ask you to wait a few minutes while they fill it for you right then if you're waiting. We come back at 7 and it's still not ready. This time they tell us they're working on it right then. So we wait another 10 minutes before we finally get the prescription. Oh and because this is a controlled medication, it's a pain to move it to another pharmacy and no one can tell us if it's in stock until they have the prescription (which means canceling it at the current pharmacy and potentially waiting longer if it's not in stock at the new one). Luckily my husband had extra medication and could tolerate his medication getting filled late. Now I understand that there's issues with slow shipping right now. I still have several problems with how they handled this. 1. They should call if they are going to be delayed refilling a prescription (and they shouldn't lie about doing so). 2. They should restock a medication as soon as they get the prescription instead of waiting a week. 3. They should answer their phone so you don't have to show up in person to find out what's going on. All that to say, I would never come here again to fill a prescription and I am very thankful for my amazing pharmacist at my normal CVS at home. read more

Can't give a negative star - this has to be the worst run, most disorganized pharmacy on the planet. They can't find the prescriptions they've filled because the orders are completely mixed up with orders lying on the floor. This is my second time trying to pick up an order they lost after being texted it was ready again. Two staff are trying to look thru all the filled orders manually trying to find it. Wow worst cvs. I been coming to this location since before when they where in Miami Shores. They lose your Rx. Have to call your doctor multiple times. The wait times are crazy. I got here 8:45 one morning they open at 9. I waited till 10AM till the pharmacist to show up! Today in drive Thur and been waiting for 10 minutes then the car in front parked. Worst pharmacy! As a medical professional myself I have experienced long wait time, disorganization, rx being called in on a Thursday and still not filled on Sunday. I've never dealt with such pure stupidity in a pharmacy than I have with this one. After waiting in one long ass line to pick up my prescription, the woman told me repeatedly I was not in the system after numerous times of spelling out my name and birthday for her. Then made me wait on a different long ass line for a consultation where the only nice and helpful worker was able to figure out she was simply just spelling my name wrong and there were in fact three prescriptions for me because I told my doctor they were saying I wasn't in the system (like the idiot woman said) and she sent it over twice more for me. Keep in mind, I spelled out my name for her 3-5 times. I don't know how this woman could become a pharmacist let alone pass the fifth grade without following basic instructions. We are used to all the screw ups with this pharmacy. They mess up prescriptions all the time--everyone required by their insurance to use them already knows they are unreliable. Today it went to another level. The pharmacist in charge claimed that she and CVS were in no way responsible for any problems with the pharmacy department. The best was that my half-hour wait for a vaccine appointment should not have been a problem for me because she had no staff for it. When it was suggested that it was wrong to take appointments without staff to fulfill them, she said that she and CVS had no responsibility in this. So who is responsible? Most people would have apologized and/or offered another appointment. But this pharmacist found it more important to make clear that she and the company were blameless. Of course that only made me wonder, what else have you been accused of that establishing your innocence became the first priority. read more

The exterior facade of this CVS is gorgeous, emphasis on the word "facade". It smells new, it looks new, it IS brand new. Pay closer attention to why you really went there and then you will realize why this location still needs some work. PHARMACY - Staff is very nice and attentive. I was greeted and serviced immediately. - There is a Drive-Thru available - The pharmacy staff doesn't really know where to find OTC items yet so you are a little on your own with that part. The attendant told me what aisle to look on yet I was circling for awhile and the item I asked for was not where I was told. If you don't know, just say you don't know and come out from behind the counter and help me look for it. Ugh, so Miami!! RETAIL STORE - This place looks HUGE from the outside but take a closer look at the products they carry and it is really lacking. Listen they did just open so lets hope that this is just a kink. Although, I did not see stickers for two of the items I was looking for on my list so there is a chance that CVS (or at least this CVS) is no longer carrying such item(s). - Really helpful male employee with fabulous hair, I profiled him and used him to pick out hair gel for my bf after they did not have they kind he liked. Very nice man and he was definitely flattered by me asking him for men's hair gel advice, his gel was flawless, so Miami. My bf is very happy with his new hair gel and appreciated the time and effort behind picking it out. - Staff is extremely personable and friendly at this location. Items no longer available: - Swiffer Wet Jet Refills (but they still carry 12 other Swiffer items and sell the actual Wet Jet Mop, because this makes so much sense...) - Haribo Gold Bears (my fave, this maybe because CVS has just launched their new signature brand of candy, just like Walgreens did with the "Nice" products, I hope this isn't the case, I love those gummy bears!) I did ask the manager about those two items and she told me that CVS was no longer carrying such items. Again, this can be this particular CVS or it could be CVS's in general. CHECKING OUT Be careful at check out, I bought a few items not originally on my list because there was a great sale on them and when I went to checkout, they were not ringing up correctly. The checkout associate did go and check the aisle for the price tag, I knew was right, I wouldn't have grabbed the products otherwsie. She voided my whole order and then like magic, it rang up correctly. Just keep a close eye...Again, brand new location, expect some kinks. PARKING: Brand spanking new paved private lot with tons of spaces BATHROOM Had dish soap for hand soap but at least it was the dish soap with Oil of Olay! ITEMS WORTH CHECKING OUT CVS brand of Funyuns ($1.00 each) CVS Kette Korn ($1.00 each) Will I be back, definitely, this place is smack in the middle of an intersection that I frequent but if I keep retuning and they are constantly out of items that I need, its back to my CVS on 41st in Miami Beach. read more

Uniformed staff, slow service. Tried getting a flu shot, after some confusion with my insurance I was asked to stand to the side and wait for the shot. There is no wait time sign and there was only one actual pharmacist on. Wait was unknown and the place kept getting busier and more disorganized. I think this company needs to rethink this whole process and make it so it's organized, communicative, and efficient. Honestly feel like I'm wasting so much time every time I come here. If it wasn't for the fact that this or Walgreens is the only place I can get a flu shot with my insurance I'd go elsewhere. read more

The pharmacy department at this store is TERRIBLE. Can I give zero stars?? I was just on hold for literally 30 mins without one person picking up to acknowledge my call. I hung up and now need to go up there and try and deal with them. They have completely messed up several prescription refill records where I have to keep bothering my doctor to get him to keep submitting scripts even though I have refills available. On another occasion My doctor sent them schedule II drug which they just never filled or contacted me about. I went to pick it up and they said they did not have DEA approval to dispense that drug. Their answer was from a bitter employee "we had them they have been not been returned by clients " Don't they have as other stores do, the censors to stop carts beyond the boundaries of the store? Worst customer service, very disorganized! This is the second time they mess up my prescriptions. I called to confirm about my medicine, Heather the pharmacist picked up the phone and told me that the medicine was going to be ready at 2pm, I showed up at 3:30 another lady tells me to wait 15 min which it was realistically 30 min to find out that they didn't have my medicine in stock. When I tell them that I called and spoke with Heather which she was there she told me that she never told me that the medicine was going to be ready and that she meant that the medicine was transferred to another location. Really? Very disrespectful with people time and with medicine that are time sensitive. The first time she did the same thing like a month ago, my husband went to pick up my prescription and had to wait for her (which she was on the phone having a personal conversation with someone about having issues with employees Because now days they don't to last)- I am Sure I know why they don't last with her. So, he had to wait like 30 min until she finished talking to someone over the phone and let him know that they didn't have my prescription and that he needed to pick it up in another location. The latest edition of this franchise pharm store located in the Upper East Side on the 79th Street Causeway open 24 hours! I am pleased that this corner is getting a facelift since it's close to my home and Little Haiti/Upper East Side can only get better. I'm currently pregnant and have my prescriptions sent to this pharmacy. I called 1 day after my prescription was sent here to make sure it was ready because it wasn't in stock or available the day of. I called at 5:07pm and the gentleman assured me it was ready and said I could come pick it up any time. I sent my bf to get it for me since I wasn't feeling well. He got there, went right to the pharmacy and was helped immediately. After giving the lady all of my information, including my insurance, the lady told him she needed him to come back in 15 min. My bf isn't one to ask questions and assumed it was because it wasn't available at the time. He needed to get back to work so off he went. Shortly later, I showed up to pick up the prescription. By this time it was 6:04 and the line at the pharmacy consisted of about 8 people picking up and 6 dropping off. I didn't think I had to wait in line since an hour ago I was told to come in because it was available and my bf was just sent away and told to come back in 15min. I showed up 20 min after her requested time. I cut the line and spoke to a lady who was off to the side, explained my situation, and she immediately went to ask the pharmacist people for my pills. As smoothly as this was going, leave it to Rose to have messed it all up. She felt the need to chime in while I was being assisted and let it be known with the worst attitude possible that "I was trying to help your bf, but I needed to put the insurance info into the system and that's why I had him come back." I explained that whatever the situation may have been, I gave her 20 min rather than 15 and that I was ready to get my medicine. Her response, mocking me, "yeah, we ready!" And then continued to speak negatively about me under her breath but loud enough for me to hear. This continued the entire time she finished with the process of me getting my medicine. Apparently Rose was upset with me and had the young man help me moving forward. He assisted me with no problem and was a bit nicer once I asked for Miss Rose's name and asked when the manager would be available for me to speak to, even then apologized on Rose's behalf. However, the fact that she sat there calling me names and disrespecting me for NO apparent reason, when I'm clearly the customer, and I was clearly right in every way, I would not accept. Her lack of professionalism was not only unacceptable, but to speak about a customer as rudely and negatively with such anger was horrible, and to be frank, makes me never want to step foot near that pharmacy again. I will be contacting her manager, as well as Corporate, and the Bureau of Better Business, that's how offended I feel. Her attitude and lack of professionalism was completely disgusting and I hope she is reprimanded accordingly. read more
