Took my son for a Covid test today and they said CVS no longer will give Covid tests to uninsured people. This is a new policy from CVS the pharmacy told me. Online I was able to book the appointment while stating I did not have insurance.... I do not have insurance for a month while switching jobs. So I guess CVS only cares about people that have insurance. Guess I'll stop shopping here. read more

Horrible service at minute clinic. Incompetent people from A-Z. Avoid. Try a different location.

Employees are nice but overwhelmed. We've been waiting almost an hour past our scheduled time for a vaccine booster on top of being told they're running 30 min behind. Checking in and trying to figure out the line is a cluster F - extremely disorganized and confusing. Customers are trying to help each other figure out what to do/ where to go since medical employees are scant. The "medical concierge" table had no one there but a very fancy sign. read more

Stopped by the pharmacy this morning to pick some prescriptions and received awesome help from the pharmacy staff. One RX price was higher than expected and the staff directed me to GoodRx and the drug manufacturer website for discount coupons. Was able to reduce the cost by $40.00. So happy for the time they spent with me on this. Also was educated on GoodRx. Check them out and register for an account. You will be surprised by what you find. Hands down the worst cvs. The staff is incredibly rude. I needed them to take a photo of my 2 yr old for a passport and they refused. Even when I pushed for them to try, they didn't even snap one photo as my 2 yr old was standing on a chair and staring at said camera. With that said, I went to a different cvs in McKinney and was able to get the photo taken and printed within 5 minutes. read more

The lady in the minute clinic here is awesome. I can't remember her name, but she was very helpful, sweet and humorous. The minute clinic is also super convenient when you don't want to schedule with your doctor because they don't have same day appointments or you don't have much time to take off from work. I had never been to the minute clinic at this location before, but knew what I was getting into with the tiny room they take you into for your check up. It was nerve racking because of Covid, but I didn't have much of a choice. Like I said, I was prepared for tiny space, but not the unbelievably slow check in system (the reason for a lost star) which took about 20 minutes. It is beyond ridiculously slow and frustrating...... you just stand there hitting the screen over and over because it is stuck. Lastly, the bathroom here is gross (cmon CVS, clean your toilets). Considering the slow check in, gross toilets and tiny room, the rating should really be 2 stars. Goes to show you how great the nurse lady was to raise it to 4! read more

I walked in to get some photos printed, and the employee was just chilling there with his feet kicked up on the desk on his phone. Completely ignoring my presence. It's ridiculous that he's being paid to ignore customers. Somebody could've easily stolen all the merchandise in that store without him knowing definitely not coming back to CVS. read more

This place sucks. Who would've thought a trip to a pharmacy for bandaids would take 15mins. So finding items wasn't an issue -- the store is well-stocked and for the most part orderly. Where they suffer is staffing. Not a soul in sight! I waited a good 10mins for someone to ring us up at the front counter. I was tempted to yell, "helloooooo, I'm ready! Take my money! I'd rather not just leave with your products....!!!!" I'm sure if I left, no shits would've been given. Word to the wise: if you ever cut your finger, don't bother shopping here because you'll probably bleed out before they assist you. read more

I have never been more disappointed in a company than I am right now, CVS really screwed up today and now my child is suffering the consequences. We used the Minute Clinic today to have my daughter tested for strep, I specifically asked when the nurse practitioner prescribed her antibiotics if it would be in stock. He told me it would be no problem but sent me to another CVS because they were about to go on lunch. The other location was also on lunch and when they returned didn't have the prescription in stock, thus I was sent back to the original location who also didn't have it in stock. After waiting in the drive thru for 30 minutes the girl working the window tried to send me to a closed location then told me I could go to one across town that didn't close for another hour. I get to the third location who ALSO didn't have the prescription even though they showed 1 bottle in stock AND they couldn't do anything for me anyways because the girl never released the order. I've now been driving around for 2.5 hours with a sick kid in pain who now has no meds and tomorrow we get to do it all over again. Thanks CVS for NOTHING! You have truly pissed off this mama and I'll make sure everyone knows it! read more

This has got to of been the WORST customer service experience I've ever had. I printed 92 photos with this CVS. Keep in mind I've printed at a cvs before just not this one. I picked the Photos up and the quality was just awful. They were pixelated they were blurry you couldn't see faces in them because of shadows or it was too bright and everything was washed out. Essentially they were terrible quality photos that nobody would want because I didn't capture any memories. You could barely tell who the person was. I called on the phone and the guy was not so kind and was pretty much like what do you want a refund or whatever. So I decided to take my chances and go inside the store. The people in their war even worse than the other guy I talk to. The first lady I tried to talk to you told me oh you can talk to my manager because I'm not dealing with this. Then walking that there's a customer service issue upfront. The next person that came was also not so great. He tried to explain to me that it had to do with the bright photos and that that was the issue not them. I told him I got these photos professionally done they have not been edited there's no filter on them or anything I got them professionally done with my photographer from my wedding and they are good quality photos. He said well they're just right like they're outside like that's the issue. So I showed him some ones that are darker in that have a black background and aren't bright at all and are still pixelated and blurry and can't tell anything on them. He then gave another excuse oh well maybe we changed the photo filters at that time until the first time he does that it's all messed up and then it fixes so like we could probably print that one photo again. After a lot of arguing and back-and-forth I got my money back. But some of the photos were for the private school I worked at. They were photos of kids that are very private or not allowed to go out because they were for Father's Day projects. He would not let me dispose of them I said I will walk over to the trashcan rip them and throw them in there and you can watch me I'm not gonna keep in the quality is terrible but I can't give you these kids photos. He refused to let me even throw them away he took the photos and I will not be returning to this location ever. CVS do better because this isn't it. I won't be back for anything. I will drive farther to go somewhere else versus visit the store again read more

This used to be a good location until a couple of weeks ago. That's when they put in the self scanning machines. That means there is nobody at the front of the store, so when you need help you have to wait. EVERY time I use CVS machines there is something that says they need a staff member to intervene. This time, I bought an OTC medication. And no, it wasn't pseudoephedrine. If I wanted Walmart (lack of) service, I'd shop at Walmart. Surely you can afford to have at least one worker up front. Or did you not meet Q2 earnings? I used to love CVS. Now, I loathe coming here. read more

This associate Ann, is absolutely terrible. Her attitude is horrible, she rushed me from the moment I walked to the counter while still being very polite to her. Slammed my cards on the counter. She kept insisting that my money was fake because she didn't want to help me reload my chime card, which she said "I hate doing chime, as far as I'm concerned" after checking 25 twenties, you could tell that she was disappointed in the fact that the money was indeed authentic. Towards the end of the transaction to told me to go to Walgreens and which I told her I was fine with the 4.95 charge from Cvs, she refused to complete my transaction by lying and saying my ID wouldn't scan, which if that were the case, she could enter it manually. I've been using Chime for 4 years, it takes about 2 minutes to reload a card at CVS, she just didn't want to help me. read more

I hardly ever write reviews but I was MAD. Some of the workers at this CVS are the rudest people I have ever met. I went to this store twice on a Saturday and the same lady working there was rude to me both times. I'm not sure if she had an immense dislike for her job or if she was just a rude person, but I have never been treated so horribly in my life before. I was buying alcohol late at night (maybe 8 pm) and nobody was at the front register, so I went to search for someone to help with the ID check. First thing that came out of her mouth was "I can't hear you with your mask on" and then she just WALKED AWAY. Then we get to the front and she gets flustered and and that she has to approve the alcohol order, and tells me I have to cancel the order and move and clearly this lady is mad. I was so done with her attitude I left all of my things at checkout and just walked out of the door. I will never go to this CVS again. read more

I'm very happy with their Pharmacy. My complaint for the last two years has been the men's bathroom. It smells worse than a bus station toilet...and is just as filthy. The smell of urine is overpowering. Again, it's been this way for over two years and I've reported it to personal twice. Seems no one cares. Very sad. read more

I was turned away by Walgreen's across the street because the clock moved 2 minutes while I waited in line and they were closing from 1pm to 3 pm (even though they then took the customer behind me). I immediately went across the street to this CVS and couldn't be more delighted. The friendly and professional pharmacy staff were able to administer my shingles vaccination with no problems. The Walgreen's across the street should be avoided when there is a far superior choice directly across the street! I am immuno compromised and Walgreen's did not care, forcing me to expose myself in another store. Fortunately, I now have a new, bright and cleaner looking pharmacy for all my needs! read more

Unhelpful and discourteous. Prescription was at their branch and I needed it elsewhere. Not nice to deal with on the phone. Like pulling teeth to get the prescription transferred. And then no " have a nice day" or anything like that. Didn't even say, is there anything else, or even goodbye. Just hung up on me. I hate posting a negative review, but I feel that this is my obligation for other consumers. This place is friendly and has nice people, but they are not who you should go to for medical help (especially for children). I took my son here about a month ago since he seemed to be having difficulty breathing. I came in when it opened on a Saturday and it took about 2 hours to get in to see the PA. The PA was very nice, but she had issues working the system and didn't seem to really know what was going on. She diagnosed my son with a sinus infection even though I kept asking her if she was sure that he was ok and wanted to make sure he didn't have pneumonia. I asked this several times and she said no he looked fine and at the end she would tell me what to look for with his breathing if I was that concerned about the pneumonia. Finally after about another hour (due to system issues with her not being able to enter my insurance correctly) she gave us the sinus diagnosis and went over the pneumonia items to look for that I had been asking about. Every time she mentioned an item I looked at my son and said to her, "so this isn't what you just described?" and then I finally said, "how much worse does it need to get". She didn't seem to know what was going on or at least the severity of it. At this point it was almost 3 hours invested and I decided that I just needed to get out of this place. She finally gave me a prescription and I said I would come back and pick it up. I ran through the parking lot with my son and couldn't get to the real ER fast enough. I just had a strong mother's instinct that something was majorly wrong. We headed to Baylor's emergency room who got us in immediately. My son's oxygen level was down and he was struggling to breath so they hooked him up to oxygen, IV's and did some tests. He was having respiratory issues and Baylor decided that they needed to send him to Children's to get even more specialized help. We spent the weekend at Childrens. He had an upper respiratory virus and ear infection. The crazy part was that 3 days after the ordeal the CVS pharmacist calls me in a panic and tells me that I needed to cut the dosage in half on the prescription they had given me (7.4ml of Augmentin twice a day). I have a good friend that is a pediatric trauma surgeon in another state so I asked her about the prescription. She couldn't believe it. She said that it wouldn't have killed him, but that is the dosage they use in the ICU for bad infections. Thank God I had not filled this prescription and instead went straight to Baylor. The real kicker is that I just got a bill from CVS stating that my insurance wasn't applied correctly and now I have an outstanding bill of $54 (I had already paid $25 co-pay for the visit). It sounds like they can't even file an insurance claim right either. read more

What a terrible experience today with the Minute Clinic. I went twice. First time, the woman told me she was leaving for lunch, about 2:00 and would be back in a hour, with 2 people on the waiting list. Second time, there was a sign up at about 6:30 that they weren't taking any more customers and closing early. They close at 7:30. This is ridiculous. It is flu season, plus we are expecting another ice/snow storm. I will not be going back. read more

Let's face it; since the corporate pharmacies ran all the mom and pop operations out of business, the customer service we receive at these establishments has become deplorable. However, this particular chain, and especially this store, has taken bad customer service and lowered it to a perverse art form. The minute clinic is neither a good deal or offer good care. They work from a list of what they want to sell you and test you for. It's cheaper to go see an actual doctor who might be able to listen to you and try to fix what's wrong with you not what's on the clearance sheet to be sold. $162 dollars to be prescribed nasal spray for my severe allergies. This CVS has the friendliest staff ever! Seriously, I was in and out in less than five minutes but every staff member I saw said hi and asked how I was doing. The store is very clean and well stocked. And a bonus, they carry my favorite shaving cream by EOS! I love this location! read more
