Personally, this pharmacy is one of the most disorganized corporations I have ever seen. I am a long time costumer of CVS, and for a long time I would not get my medication or daily needs anywhere else. As the years have gone on, it seems they have increased the volume of pharmacy staff but the competency has decreased. My medication is continuously being held for various reasons, all of which seem administrative on their side. There is always ridiculously long lines and their phone service is absolutely atrocious. I was prescribed an antibiotic for an injury. Prior to picking up my prescription, I googled the medication and this is what it said...Ciprofloxacin may increase the blood levels of atorvastatin. This can increase the risk of side effects such as liver damage and a rare but serious condition called rhabdomyolysis that involves the breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue. In some cases, rhabdomyolysis can cause kidney damage and even death. I am currently taking Atorvastatin. After paying for the medication, I asked the pharmacist if those medications can be taken together because I don't believe everything I read on the internet and he said yes, just take them a couple of hours apart. He didn't even look in the computer first. When I got home and read the bottle of Cipro, it said STOP ATORVASTATIN FOR 10 DAYS WHILE TAKING THIS MEDICATION. If I had listened to the pharmacist, and not read the bottle, I could have gotten really sick. Word of advice pharmacist...if you're not sure of the answer, just say "I'm not sure" then look it up in the computer that is 3 feet away from you. I have lost complete trust in CVS pharmacists. read more

if this pharmacy could get a zero star ratin, that's what I would rate it. medication is always out of stock, the app doesn't get updated, they don't answer the phone to answer questions about prescription orders, etc. I could go on for hours but I've been on hold waiting tor someone to pick up that my phone is going to die soon. avoid this place if you have other options. read more

Pharmacy is disorganized and slow. I would rather go to the dentist than pickup a prescription here, and I hate going to the dentist!

Doctor called in a prescription for my daughter at 11am, around 2pm there was nothing saying when it will be ready. Got a hold of the pharmacy at 2pm after their "lunch break" pharmacy person answered the phone was very rude saying "we're working on it" and hung up. Got a notification that it was ready around 4pm, waited online for 20 minutes and was told it wasn't ready to come back in 20 minutes. Go back at 5pm and the pharmacy is closed. I was told the staff was taking a break. Other customers asked the manager and he was nasty and said they are on break and he can't talk about it. Waited another 30 minutes for their break to end. Pharmacist had to mix the prescription. She was very rude. She handed me the medicine bottles without a bag. When I ask for a bag she was annoyed. This is the first and last time I will have a prescription filed at this cvs location. A lot of complaints from other reviewers. They need to get it together there. read more

I've tried so hard to deal with the pharmacy in this cvs only because the hours are better but not worth it at all!!! I've been hung up on for asking a simple question. I've been given another persons prescription. I'm so tired of everyone being rude and unprofessional so I'm going back to the small local pharmacy. They actually care and listen. CVS is impersonal and could care less about anything other than getting their lunch break. And when I was waiting in line a pharmacy tech was asking about getting a lunch break and the pharmacist was rude to her own coworker!! Go to Lake Mahopac Pharmacy instead. The pharmacy customer service is really the worst. I never write reviews but this deserves a few minutes of my time. To begin the pharmacy NEVER answers the phone, they leave you on hold and don't come back. The attitude of the young female pharmacist is disheartening as she is suppose to be a professional and the tall, middle aged, heavy set woman who rings you up has a poor attitude, rude and LAZY! There is a reason this CVS received two stars from People but in my experience I gave them one star. Step it up CVS pharmacy crew, it's 2021 and Covid has affected all of us, we are all stressed and overworked but disrespect and rudeness is inexcusable especially when a customer only says hello! We may not be able to see our smiles with mask but a simple "good day, how's it going, happy New Year, how's your day, how May I help you" only takes two seconds to do. Most people don't want to leave their homes but sadly we need medications as a necessity not a want, keep that in mind the next time you go to help someone or you let the phone ring or stay on hold for hours, we aren't calling you to have coffee or ask for a recipe. read more

Today, I was discriminated against at this pharmacy in a major way. I was on vacation down the Jersey Shore, and was due for a refill of my pain medication on 8/10 used to treat a spinal condition. I have just started a new job, and obtained new insurance. Apparently, I had needed a prior authorization, and the pharmacist there stated she could only fill for 7 days until prior authorization was completed. I said no problem, and asked what I needed to do to fill for the month. They said to have my doctor call and send a new prescription for the remainder to my home pharmacy, so that is what I did. The CVS app said to pick up on 8/14, so this is what I did. I was told they were working on it,and come back in 15 minutes. I come back, and they say wait let me check the computer. The pharmacist in way behind the counter shouts "You picked up at another location" "it doesn't say anywhere you can pick up on 8/14" "it's too early to refill". I wasn't sure what I had done wrong as i was only doing what I was told, and I have. usually gotten the month supply. She made a chronic pain patient feel like an addict or something. I have worked in healthcare for 15 years, and would never treat a patient like this. I attend all my appointments, take my medication as prescribed. I will absolutely not be made to feel bad about an ailment I have. I have written to corporate today as well. read more

Howdy. I checked the Yelp review outta curiosity to see what writ. I have had no problems in my dealings with the Pharmacy section of this CVS store. I've gone monthly for last 30 months or so: my commercial insurance company didn't provide the use of a 90 day supply mail order group. I have on all visits been treated with courtesy and help when I've had question of scrip usage. Maybe I've been lucky on my visits; I prefer to think it's the professional conduct of the employees that have served me. Thanx. read more

I'm very frustrated, 15 minutes ago I called to ask for the price of a product that's over-counter, for my younger daughter who is sick and the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. I called because for starters, my credit card wasn't working properly and I wasn't sure if I had enough cash on me. She told me that she couldn't help me because she was busy at the counter and the pharmacy was closed. Five minutes later my older daughter went in to go buy the medicine needed and when she was buying it, she'd told me that the woman was complaining about the phone call I'd made earlier in a disrespectful way. Now this woman had said earlier on the phone that she was busy when in fact her and her fellow coworker were in the middle of an argument. If this store is known for having a pharmacy people have a right to call and ask about the products sold here. Pharmacies are there for those who are in need and are sick, this is no way to treat someone! They need people who know how to treat their customers. read more
