Needed a prescription that all they had to do was slap a label on a box and print the receipt. Was told to give them 30minutes at 3:00. At 4:15 still didn't have the prescription. Was paying out of pocket and tried to use a $50 coupon and told it would take another 30 minutes. Since 30 minutes is arbitrary I opted out. I was called back promptly after leaving a voicemail however the pharmacy tech working was sooo rude over the phone and when I asked for him to confirm when my prescription would be available because I need to take it at a certain time, he said he was busy and hung up on me. So poor. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - LAKE FOREST, Illinois

This is specifically a review for the CVS Minute Clinic at this location. I drove from out past Milwaukee to take a Rapid Test at this location that was required for work. Due to absolutely terrible weather, I knew I was running late 1.5 hours beforehand, so I called the location to inform them and to see whether I could reschedule. This was substantially out of the way for me, so it would have been wonderful to at least know whether they could see me prior to the appointment. The phone system is absolutely appalling - it transferred me across 5 departments, and I already knew not to select any of the COVID options as that transfers you to a completely different call center and the transfer back simply means this location will put you on 20+ minute hold before disconnecting. After navigating through the options and asking to speak to a representative, then dialing 0, it left me with an automated message to check the website. Mind you, I had to do all of this while driving in a torrential downpour. Finally, I arrived 10 minutes late and they, of course, wouldn't see me. I ended up having to frantically locate another location and couldn't find a time within the next 6 hours within 50 miles. While I completely understand it's my fault for arriving late, I could have at least spoken to a human being and saved myself the headache. read more

I never wished to be on a first name basis with my pharmacist, however, I am simply there too often. But now I know what a good feeling it is to know the staff knows me and does what they can to help me out. They've even directed me to over the counter options if appropriate to save me money. How can you not like that? Just as any pharmacy, they can get backed up during the rush hours. But when my children's pediatrician electronically sends over a prescription for one of my kids, it's almost always waiting for me in the time I leave the office and get to the pharmacy. As for the rest of the store, it is always clean and well-organized. I like walking the isles here to pick up whatever else I need. And I often find the CVS brand medication options are just as good as the name brand ones. Something I can't say about other popular places. read more

The pharmacy department doesn't even deserve a "1" star. Waiting on hold for 8 minutes, then 6 minutes, then another 6 minutes is not good customer service. They showed me thru their actions that they no longer wanted my business. I have switched to Walgreens. They spend so much money trying to acquire new customers maybe they should try to keep their existing business. Next you will hear a rumor that this store is closing. read more

We have been coming here now probably for 15 years since they opened. The staff is extremely helpful. Sure it's like any other CVS from stock standpoint but the staff really cares. The store manager Mark is always there and working hard. The pharmacists are always very willing to answer questions, help out with prescriptions etc. The minute clinic staff are very accommodating. And by and large you can almost always get a parking spot. read more

Love this CVS!! Mark, the manager is wonderful. Whenever I come in, regardless of how long it's been since he's seen me last, he greets me with a smile, remembers my name and will always ask how things in my life are going. I know one of the pharmacists as well through a friend. Great service here and the store is very clean with an easy layout. Their minute clinic is great as well. I needed an HDMI cable at 11am on Christmas Day and they had one. A+, CVS. On other days, it's a convenient place to get other items, as everyone not living under a rock knows. I completely agree with Ken K's review below. This pharmacy - which is trapped in the 80s - is terrible. The staff are extremely unprofessional. The pharmacist(s) have an apathetic attitude, and the pharmacy technicians are just outright rude. The technician who attempted to serve me was wearing an earpiece, so she was either on her cell or listening to music. She then begrudgingly walks over to me and says nothing. No "hello" no "how can I help you" not even "what's your name". She just stands there in silence and looks at me with a "who the hell are you and what do you want" attitude. Well guess what, I'm the guy - who happens to be a pharmacist - who is giving you the crappy review you deserve. DON'T USE THIS PHARMACY. There are plenty of others in the area! read more

Lyn is a pharmacy technician at CVS and I needed urgent medication for my granddaughter and the physician had insisted on the non-generic version. Lyn explained it was backordered everywhere and proceeded to call all nearby CVS Pharmacies, then the local competitor pharmacies, then reached a competitor who had a database and found the medication in a location in Chicago where I drove that night. Ultimately, I think she contacted 30 stores. Then, upon refill, I again called CVS just before my granddaughter's medication ran out and a different technician, Mallory, said she would hold it until the day the insurance company released it since the medication was again in short supply. I have since switched all my prescriptions to CVS because such kind of customer service has no price tag. read more

I like the assortment of products and the convenience of a local store, but the pharmacy is terrible. My prescriptions are never ready. Never. And I call them in ahead of time. The last time I was there, the pharmacist was quickly flipping through the stack of bagged meds, but couldn't seem to find mine. He must have flipped through the same pile five times before locating it. Many times, they simply don't have a particular medication on hand. It's frustrating. read more
