The pharmacy on Rockland in Lake Bluff is a disaster. I'm not sure if the team is understaffed or mismanaged, but this is pure chaos. There are 10 people waiting for vaccines with 6 more in line. I waited for over an hour fifteen minutes past my appointment for my vaccine. While here, I witnessed multiple people having problems with their prescriptions. I had to switch from CVS to Walgreens due to my insurance and I never, ever will come to this conclusion Walgreens again. What a mess. read more

Well, LOOK no further than THIS PARTICULAR WALGREENS! Not only will they take forever to fill a prescription, on not one BUT MANY separate occasions, they even go the extra mile to not contact the correct people to make sure you HAVE your medication on time! Their experts will gladly let that set of medication sit with the dust bunnies until your mother calls them angerly! All for your inconvenience! .... Alright alright... time to be honest. The Walgreens itself is fantastic! And the staff at the front counter is amazing! But like I said before... the actual pharmacy is kind of a joke. Only on few occasions did I get to talk and work with a pharmisist who had more than 2 rusty Braincells. They are friendly and chipper, but they are always late with prescriptions, which is a shame considering I live close and they have a drive through. I say until they hire better staff at the Pharmacy, I recommend just sticking to Jewel Osco... unless of course your into wasteing those precious life moments waiting for them to be ready when you can be doing litteraly anything else. I ordered antidepressants for delivery a month ago. No delivery yet. I got a temporary refill from my doc. That's gone now too. Had a conversation. with their distribution center a week or so ago. Still no delivery. I'm beginning to feel the effects of antidepressant withdrawal. Walgreens is a mess. always has been. This is the last straw. I'm moving to an independent pharmacy. read more

Today I tried to buy chocolates with a coupon manufacturers coupon that didn't expire till 2022 and I was told that the store does not participate in these type of coupons. I have never had a retailer as common as Walgreens not except a simple manufactures coupon. Then when I proceeded to ask about the price which was wrong the clerk spent five minutes going to check the price and she told me that the price was 599 when in fact the price on the shelf and the price on the app was 399. I will avoid this Walgreens in the future. It's too bad that it's down the street from my house. read more

They're always polite with me and they're always looking for the lowest prices on my behalf. Some of the staff even greets me by my name before I give it to them. The lines can get a little long, as they're often busy on the phone, dealing with the drive-through lane, taking the time to be thorough with their customers, etc. read more

Consistently bad prescription management. Either not filled on time or they do not fully read the approval. Lots of runaround for a simple monthly fill thru my insurance. Also, each technician has different approaches--some are truly engaged in helping the consumers while others literally could give two sh*ts, especially the pharm manager; he made refilling 1 of my refills a true pain after I walked in w/ a dtr's note trying to obtain before I left on an out of country vacation; he passed it along to another tech after his shift was over @ 2pm & then they couldn't understand why he just didn't fill it. The tall girl w/ long blond hair is excellent. 1/2 STAR: 2nd visit within 1 week to refill 2 monthly prescriptions from same physician and both refills declined. A couple of weeks ago, another prescription from a different physician was declined, as well. This pharmacy is the WORST. Each time of the decline, I've followed up w/ the dtrs office and in all 3 cases, no fax was received nor waiting in queue from the pharmacy. I've just figured they do not want to rush refill monthly prescriptions, only dire need ones. Time to switch my prescriptions to CVS. Hate this store. Just terrible. 4/1 Problems above keep repeating so I transferred all my scripts to the CVS in Target. Wayyyyyyy better service. read more

I've just finished transferring the last of my prescriptions from this store to a nearby CVS. Had used this pharmacy since moving to the area eight years ago, and the service at the pharmacy has been consistently mediocre. Out of stock, improperly filled, long delays....the list of annoyances goes on, with a few being way beyond annoyance to downright unprofessional. I've watched in horror as staff filled prescriptions at a speed reminiscent of Lucy and Ethel on the candy line. They couldn't possibly be 100% accurate at the frantic pace they toss around bottles and labels. Not reassuring when 100% accuracy is expected and assumed. read more

The only reason I use this store is because of the drive-thru pharmacy. I literally despise having to pick up my prescriptions because the staff is consistently rude. Someone always seems to be right there at the window typing while I sit there waiting.....how about a "I"ll be right with you" or "Thank you for your patience we will help you shortly". NOTHING. They like to make you wait and never apologize for the inconvenience. This is enough to make me switch to CVS at Target- their staff is always professional and courteous. read more

Besides their rudeness, they do not respect patient privacy and do not respect online services that Walgreens' website offers, making every interaction unpredictable and, typically, unsatisfactory. read more

Clean store, well stocked and laid out, mostly friendly staff that will get the line moving quickly. Parking lot has plenty of parking, even when busy. They have a cooler up front with quick healthy fresh food choices if you are in a hurry since there isn't much nearby. They tend to get busy during afternoon rush hour but not too bad. I haven't tried the pharmacy or drive-thru but doesn't look too busy so maybe the wait is not too long. I like this Walgreens because it has a nice and relaxed vibe to it. read more

I consistently have trouble picking up prescriptions from this location. I get calls that they are ready, but when I arrive they tell me that they need to call the Dr. When they call the Dr to order an then call me to pick up, I again get there and only get part of my prescription. Maybe they just want me to return so I buy more goods, or maybe they just like seeing my smiling face. Whatever the reason it is very frustrating. read more

There is ALWAYS a problem filling a prescription at this store. I dropped off my prescription today at 1:50 and was told that it wouldn't be ready until 2:30 because the pharmacist was out to lunch. So I had to make two trips to fill the prescription. I then called the phone number of the Lake Bluff store at 3:30 to make sure that it was in fact ready and after a somewhat confusing phone conversation regarding the status of the order I was told that I was not talking to someone at the Lake Bluff store, I was talking to someone at a call center who offered to transfer me directly to the store. No way to call the store directly. After I got transferred I asked to speak to the pharmacy manager, but nope, he is a meeting. CVS it is! read more

I have never been treated so well by a pharmacist or shown so much care as with Mehal Patel. He went out of his way to resolve a problem with my insurance, took it personally upon himself to help resolve and this led to my decision to take all my recently moved to mail-order back to Walgreens. Where else could you go to get this type of customer service? In fact, the entire team at this store pharmacy has been so exceptionally good and helpful esp lately, they all need acknowledgment. I give them one star because they exist. As a physician, I have never been treated so poorly by a pharmacy. 1/2 hour wait times as I'm trying to help one of my patients. Terrible phone tree, never answered and was placed on perma-hold by them twice with no answer. I called my patient and told her to find another pharmacy because I refused to deal with such poor customer service. Can't believe that they turn a profit or that they even exist as a commercial entity. Boo, boo, boo!!!! Go somewhere else if you can. P.S. My patient went to another Walgreens elsewhere and it took me less than five minutes to help her. read more

I love having this Walgreens in Lake Bluff and have always enjoyed shopping there. Today I was treated very rudely by one of the clerks who insisted I had not asked for a 15% discount (it's Senior Day). I had to stand in line to return my items and recheck them out with the discount that she had failed to give me. She never apologized for the inconvenience and acted in a hostile manner.
