I get it is likely due to staffing shortages, but maybe opening a couple hours later in the morning in order to stay open until 9 would be possible? Except for Needler's and maybe an aisle at the downtown Kroger, there is no other drugstore downtown Indy so this is really a gap in the market. There is also a drive-thru for the pharmacy - I believe the only one that exists downtown. Besides the hours, I've always been able to find exactly what I'm looking for here, and really appreciate the self check out. I've gotten a couple vaccines here as well after making an appointment online and the appointment went smoothly and the pharmacists were nice. I did have some questions about Claritin D once (I had never used it before) and one pharmacist was abrasive and condescending, but a kinder one soon stepped in to take over - she seemed to be used to doing that sort of thing.

They called twice today (within 10 minutes of each other) with a different story each time. We have been trying unsuccessfully to get a script which the doctor says she sent 2 weeks ago. Walgreen's first said it wasn't received and has several times blamed her office. I trust her far more than Walgreens.

My health care system sent over a prescription to this location and the pharmacy processed it with no issues. Shortly after my prescription was sent over to Walgreens, the pharmacy called me to let me know it was ready for pick-up. The pharmacist at the counter was super helpful, clear, and concise when providing me with instruction on how to take the medication. Didn't rush the interaction and was available to answer any question I may have had.

This place…read moreis usually super busy, I have never waited less than a couple people in front of me, but the pharmacists and techs could not be more patient or helpful. Typically at less one person in front of me is in a rush or has an issue with something or frankly an attitude with the techs. Every time I have come, they have acted with patience and kindness and took all the time needed to make sure people understand the issues they may be having or the delay in their medications. And they always apologize to me if there has been a delay in my wait yime. Could not have better things to say about this location!

Trying to get a hold of someone on the phone means a minimum of 10-15 minutes and I've often just given up as it rounds past 25 minutes. I came in today to pick up a prescription that was filled yesterday, and it was ... somehow not ready. Is 24 hours not enough to fill 1 prescription? The pharmacist said it might have been put back, but that doesn't really make sense, because that's generally 1-2 weeks after you're supposed to pick it up. I know time feels different during COVID but this is wild. Oh well. Nothing like hanging out in the public areas for unnecessarily long periods during a pandemic! It doesn't make sense for them to say that I cannot all of a sudden. Earlier in the day CVS said they would have my medication ready by 6 pm so I was waiting for it. I didn't call until after 5 pm to check up on it which is when this discussion happened. If someone had told me earlier, I would have been able to get my doctor to transfer in time to pick it up today. This pharmacy is so disorganized which is frustrating when it involves medications that people need.

The one thing that is always hard when we go is that the drink aisle is the narrowest aisle! While they have just a little bakery section off to the side- they always have some fun seasonal treats there. The produce is typically well kept and organized. For being so small, they have a pretty good selection in the freezer area. There was a time I used the wrong corporate card to buy some things for a work party and there were only limited hours I could come get it all charged back to the right card. It's a smaller Walmart though and so I think this is to be expected. When I did eventually make it in, the folks at the service counter were delightful. It was summer and I think they had a snow cone machine and were making snow cones for the employees. It's a small thing- but I could tell that their people liked that. The cashiers I've dealt with have always been cordial. They recently redesigned the store in the past year and added a bunch of you scan areas. This is great because just from what I can see, most people are like me and typically just get an handful of items and are trying to get out as quickly as possible.

It's air conditioned which is a major plus and it feels so good! It opened in 1966 and as of August 2021 they've had 3 million visitors come through the doors! The inside is floor to ceiling with natural wood and takes you back in time. They have a lot of information about drugs they used backs then and it's a great way to learn and cool off at the same time. They just announced that this year for the 2022 Taste of the State Fair they will be offering a iced mocha coffee float! Sounds good! I always get one of those long licorice ropes and one of the great ice cream floats anytime I've been there. They sell New York egg creams which doesn't have eggs in them at all. It's soda water, ice cream and syrup. Basically if you're wanting some deliciousness and something cold pick one of the many floats they offer.

So you tell the automated system you want to talk to the pharmacy, and then IT says, "Please leave a voicemail with your name and number and we'll call you back within an hour." No option to go on hold, no option to explain to the machine that you need to see if they have a medication in stock, just "Leave a voicemail!" I don't want to leave a voicemail, I want to talk to a person, I'm on hold to talk to a person, I don't want you to call me back in 45 minutes while I'm making lunch. If you can't handle your call volume, hire more people or install more phones, or prepare to keep losing patients, because you just lost me.
