The store itself is nice and so is the manager who is a fine gentleman, but the pharmacy Manager is the pits her name is Charity. She needs to get some empathy and respect for the sick patients that are handicapped. Instead of saying sit down and wait 15 minutes, she knows that person who can barely walk has to go back to their car put their walker or wheelchair in the trunk, and come back again. I believe handicapped people should be shown extra care, respect, and compassion. However, she doesn't care and neither does corporate CVS or they would have can her BUTT. WHAT HAPPENED to this wonderful Pharmacy? We have been coming here for years buts it's always an excuse, medicine is not here come back in 8 hours or tomorrow. Home Depot, Ross, and Marshall allow the handicap to check out first because they have consideration for the handicap. Even restaurants let handicapped people be more comfortable by sitting them first. Let this be an example to CVS Pharmacy.WE will be looking for a new pharmacy without this bull crap after all you are there to provide a service. The most incompetent pharmacy in existence. There is only one pharmacist who is polite, caring, and efficient (I wish I could remember his name) and one person at the register who is very helpful- Hadasa (?) Everyone else is rude, could care less, and lazy. There is no way to speak to someone on the phone unless you leave a message and wait 2 hours (if you are lucky). They never let you know if your prescription isn't in stock, or if there's an insurance issue. 90% of my scripts go to a private pharmacy- the ones that can't, go here and I get hives just thinking about having to deal with them. read more

You would think putting some sort of sign letting those who are going thru the drive thru for Covid testing to advice that ONLY lane #1 is doing the testing while the big red sing in the middle reads "Full service on both lanes" anyone driving up would read that and think test can be done on both lanes. When I pulled up to second lane after waiting for 30 min they told me it was only in lane #1 when I looked back the line for lane one had at least 5 cars which meant that I would need to wait an additional hour after pulling back around. I think it only takes 5 minutes or less to make a hand written sign and tape it somewhere where drivers can read it to stay in lane one. How are some people managers is beyond me. You can do better CVS get it together please some people don't have all day to wait because your people can take responsibility and help people like they are suppose to. read more

This is literally the worst CVS pharmacy You will ever encounter. It takes them three or four hours to fill even a simple prescription and most of the time longer than that. Their staff is incredibly rude and their drive-thru is always backed up. You are better off filling your prescription at literally any other pharmacy in the area then this one. The pharmacy is 24 hours, most of the time is ridiculous busy. New thing now they close 30 minutes for lunch from 1:30-2:00pm but if u get there at 1:26 they already refuse to help you. I pulled up behind two cars in the pharmacy line for a routine PCR test. There is a sign saying full service both lanes. I started in the lane closest to the building but after seeing all the cars building up behind me, to be thoughtful I moved into the other lane to even out the lanes as there was only one car waiting in the far lane. I waited for THIRTY FIVE minutes by the time they spoke to me. I told her I was there for a COV test appointment. She told me that COVID tests are performed in the LANE CLOSEST TO THE BUILDING. Please not the attached photo. She told me I had to go back through the endlessly backed up line!!!! I told her there is NOTHING on all of their signs indicating this!!! I was so angry and also had to go to the bathroom. I went around the building to the line I was originally in and waited ANOTHER THIRTY FIVE minutes. When I got to the window, after 5 more minutes, she asked me how she can help. And I said 'You already know why I'm here'. It took another TWENTY MINUTES for her to figure out how to give me my covid test!!! I can assure you this is by far THE WORST CVS on the east coast. Absolutely ridiculous! She even had the nerve to say there's a video online about the COVID lanes. I get PCR tests every two weeks and it's become second nature. HOW CAN YOU HAVE THIS MAN REPRESENTING YOUR STORE. My wife, her sister and I went into cvs tonight to look for some baby diaper rash cream for my daughter. To be honest we forgot our masks in the car and it was a mistake on our end. As we head towards the register with our shirts over our mouth and nose this cvs employee named FRANK just attacks us pointing us out very loudly and then making an unnecessary comment. He says while pointing us out, "1,2,3 without mask what do you all not pay attention to the news" , then keeps walking towards the exit with another employee. I responded by telling him that he doesn't need to be so unprofessional about it and he says, "ok little man get out of my store". Of course I was infuriated when he embarrassed me and humiliated me in front of the whole store. Then when I asked his name he refuses to give it to me but he checks out my wife and the products she bough. Thankfully without him realizing it he gave her the receipt with his name on it. I can't believe CVS has this pathetic excuse of a man working at their store. This is an Unbelievable and unacceptable way to treat someone at a store you work for. It provides the same 24 hour service with a drive-thru pharmacy, 1-hour photo; and various items such as cosmetics, health & beauty items, toys, medicine, grocery, etc. at reasonable prices. The employees are friendly and helpful. The store is clean with organized aisles. Not to forget to mention, getting coupons by scanning your CVS card at the coupon center/price scanner. My fiancé waited in line for 45 minutes for generic meds just to be told that they weren't ready yet (though the doctors sent it over much earlier). He was told to return in an hour, so in two hours we came back to pick up the medicine on our way out of town. We sat in the drive-thru (because the inside line was obscene) for 30 minutes. When we finally got to the window and my fiancé asked to pick up his medicine, they told him once again that they were not ready yet. Again. This has been the worst pharmacy experience ever. They are poorly managed, and openly discriminated against me due to my condition (refused to give me my meds at first, and later occasions gave me obscenely long wait times). They ALWAYS tried to push giving me my medicine back, to the point where i had to wait until the next day for meds, whereas at any other CVS pharmacy, they get it to me in about 30/40 minutes. I needed an anti viral prescription filled after receiving urgent care. CVS on Sheridan street in Hollywood was the most convenient option since it was near by and I am already registered in the pharmacy. Amidst great pain and suffering I was willing to wait for my prescription to be filled in the hopes of starting my recovery as soon as possible. I was told at the pharmacy drop off counter that they were to busy to fill the script and don't bother waiting. I said it was urgent but no sympathy nor could they recommend another pharmacy to assist. I was happy that I was offered assistance when I was looking for a specific product in the beauty section. Before I even look to find an associate, one came up to me. That was pretty great and I was able to find what I needed with their assistance. This location has a good selection of method cleaning products which I like. They are natural and not always easy to find in stores. I waited in line for a while to check out. There was only one cashier and the customer checking out was having a problem. I just recently moved to this area, so I decided to switch pharmacies. I got my prescription delivered and got a generic brand in the mail. When I called a friendly associate ensured me no problems and they'd take care of it. When I showed up the next morning an associate was there, I explained the issue and Charity the 'manager' Interrupted me before I could finish explaining... I explained I had already talked to someone and she said she didn't care that SHE WAS THE MANAGER... Ok boss, got it. She explained she would make an exception and refund me my money but I had to do things differently when ordering my things... even though I did and she did not let me finish speaking. ANYWAY.. needless to say the 2 star rating this store has is actually true. Find a different location if you want to be treated with respect as a customer. Also this location is very old fashioned, the merchandising is cluttered and the carpet throughout makes it feel unclean. read more

This location is very well managed and it shows. Everyone that works here is nice and really helpful. Always smiling and ready to assist. When you are shopping there is always someone available to help you find what you are looking for. When the lines get long and checkout they call extra cashiers. The shelves are stocked and neat. Things are easy to find. For great deals sign up for the CVS card. My tip for everyone picking up a prescription is to call ahead to make sure your prescription is ready before you come to the store. This will ensure that you have the best experience and aren't waiting a long time for your medicine. Also, the automated system does not tell you if the pharmacy is out of what you need and that you have to go to another pharmacy. So calling is always a safe bet especially if time is of the essence and you need the medication right away. The drive-thru offers the slowest service. It is convenient if you are alone in the car with a small baby, but if you aren't first in line, you might be waiting a while for the person in front of you that didn't call ahead. I've definitely left and come back later after waiting what seemed like a week for the person in front of me to complete his transaction. read more

This has been my drug store for many decades. I came in one day and I saw a dark figure at the pharmacist station with a black huddie on. I said to myself shit this place is getting robbed. Turned out he was the new pharmacist. Up until now this place has been going down the tubes in the pharmacy department. When you come in there you are very poorly greeted if at all and when your are greeted it's a very nasty NEXT , The pharmacist doesn't even acknowledge you unless it's not the normal type of script, and when they do acknowledge you it's usually with a snarl. This pharmacy is famous for telling you, it's not in stock or we don't carry that even though you got it there last month. We will order for you, it will take a few days. Oh please I need it now. Well you just have to go somewhere else. These are just a few items. I really want to tell you about huddie pharmacist, his name is Ronald. Ronald is a blessing to this store. He always greets you if he has time to look up from his work (very busy store) is always running around to trying to help all his patients get their meds. He really tries hard to make this a better place for his patients. I'm going to stop short, I was not trying or planning to write an encyclopedia, I could go on TV I m at how bad this pharmacy is.(by the way the store in front of the pharmacy is a whole different planet. The manager and staff a great.) just one more thing Ronald you are a true blessing to that pharmacy and your patients. I just left there and I had the most amazing customer service experience with jasmine. She is very knowledgeable of the new programs cvs is offering and of the products and sales going on. She even helped me save money ! She really went above and beyond and was so cheerful and it was a really nice surprise. There definitely needs to be more people in the world like her. It seems the CVS pharmacy on Sheridan can not get it together. They messaged me that one of my mother's scripts needed to be refilled. We had just come from her doctors appointment the week before where we were told all her prescriptions have been refilled so I thought that's odd. I went to pick up her prescriptions and guess what some had not been refilled.. I told the person at the CVS pharmacy counter this has happed twice before and if her could check. He said they called the doctor a week ago and the doctor has not gotten back to them.. I asked if they checked their phone messages. he said no they usually like it done through the computer. I said this was a problem before because my doctor had left the refill on their phone service.. He said I should call the doctor after the holiday weekend to get the refill...So I called the doctor today and they she checked her records which said she had already called in the refills. 11 days ago on April 7th the some day we had an appointment at her office. So I called CVS to tell them I am waiting on hold for 30 minutes and i decide to call back again.. I call and finally get through to a real person but it's t a person at the Minute clinic they are right there in the same area as the pharmacy. They have the same phone number. The lady said I can't help you, you need to call the pharmacy.. I said I did and you answered. You can ask someone to pick up she said no. But your right there in the same area as the pharmacy. You have to call the pharmacy.. This is ridiculous.. WHY CAN'T CVS CHECK THEIR MESSAGES FROM DOCTORS? Why not service your customers ? read more

The positives: the pharmacy is open 24 hours. That's great when you have a bad flu, use the Dr. On Demand App at 11 at night and the Dr. calls in the scripts right away. I picked up my meds at midnight! The negatives: the pharmacy is busy and is in Hollyweird. Sure a few normal people are there but this place makes for some crazy people watching! The pharmacist at night was alone and super busy but very nice. When I returned a few days later the pharmacy was fully staffed with several employees but they lacked training and customer service. read more

During COVID-19. This CVS has kept their customers informed frequently about their medications and having the option of utilizing the drive thru for over the counter medications. As when you walk in you are greeted right away. If you look flustered a staff member is there to help you to find all your needs. I believe that begin able to go to your local drugstore and find the items you need at ease put you at ease. They are even selling mask which many companies either don't have or can't get their hands on. I didn't have insurance at the time and the pharmacy technician helped me find a coupon on GoodRx to cut the cost. I never knew about this saving until the super kind pharmacy technician helped me. The store manager Luke is also a big help when looking for items and making sure you are properly assisted. read more

CVS has been my family's go to pharmacy for a number of years . That has ended as of today. I was made aware that even though you have a prescription from your physician they (CVS) have their own guidelines on whether they will fill your script or not . Your physician who you go to for your health and well being is over ruled by a huge company playing dr !!! They have no knowledge of someone's health or medical al conditions and yet they have "guidelines" that dictate if they will fill a script or not ! The medication was electronically sent over to them from my dr . 2 weeks prior to today . Since that time I have received messages letting me know when my script would be ready for pick up . Because of COVID and the rising cases in our area I went to the drive thru waited in line for a good 20 minutes and then I was told the script wasn't ready and would take an additional 30 minutes . As I pulled away I received a message that they were preparing my script and it would be ready at a particular time . When I came back to pick it up the drive thru line was so long I decided I should probably go in and hopefully it wasn't t too crowded . I waited in another line for 10 minutes and when I got up to the register I was then told that they were unable to fill the script because of their guidelines they have to follow ! It was Friday at 4:30 and my dr's office was closed . They had ample time to contact my dr , they had ample time to call me to let me know there was an issue with filling the medication . I can not in good conscience trust them with taking care of my family's medication . They are either short staffed for the amount of business they get or inept . In either case I will be giving Walgreens or Publix or any other pharmacy my business going forward . The way this was handled was completely wrong and unnecessary . read more

Worst pharmacy ever. They keep you on hold for over an hour and they get the prescription wrong consistently. Never going back.

When people ralk about having low expectations so that you don't set yourself up for downfall, they aren't usually talking about a drug store, but I have found that the leas you expect from CVS 38th e better off you are. For instance If your doctor called in your prescription, don't count on the pharm tech listening to the message in any timely manner and know that there's about a 40% chance they will tell you your doctor never called. If you are told that this location does not have your medication, don't expect them to suggest to see if another location might have it... Should you make this suggestion and your medicine is at another CVS, don't expect rhat your script will be transferred immediately or at all without a second phone call. If you call and ask if your script will be ready, don't believe the time they tell you. Basically, call, call, and call again to make certain that you get what you need. Since it is your health on the line, make sure you keep on top of it- and keep low expectations so that you don't get too upset when any of these issues arise. read more
