The Pharmaceutical Care Team @ This Poquonnock Bridge location are AllStars‼ I got quite sick while out of town (Chattanooga) went to the Urgent care there, received an inappropriate prescription. Six days later upon arrival home, here, I received an urgent call telling me to STOP that medication and go to the CVS back there in Chattanooga a pick up the called In new medication. By then I was super sick. Calling the CVS near Big Y and leaving a message-I fell too ill to keep chasing down my necessary medication. After a long nap and feeling tiny bits better- I checked my phone for messages-and my prescription was actually READY for pick up at my location‼. The Pharmacy personnel were very kind and informative. They even helped me negotiate using my iPhone to access the APP and find my health records, discounts and store sales. Speaking to their outstanding customer service. Thanks to their going out of their way, I am happy to report that I'm feeling so much better already-and very grateful for the tech SAAVY folks who negotiated on line and VIA numerous time consuming telephone calls on my behalf. My normal pharmacy didn't have my prescription available for 24 hours, so I called this pharmacy and the pharmacist was helpful and had the prescription I needed. I had my prescription within an hour. Glad I made the call. They have a seating area as well, so you can relax while you wait for your prescription to get ready. read more

I just transferred my medications from this pharmacy to a different one after waiting for a refill since 3/4/24. And this is the third time in less than five years that I have been forced to go without medication due to a "national shortage" issue that has not been rectified. I was informed by the automated system that it would be ready by the afternoon, only to later receive text messages that day that there was none in stock. I have literally been put through hell physically and emotionally because I have always tried to be proactive about my health. The side effects of being told that your neurodivergent medication is unavailable can last years....it is no different than falling off of any medication that your body cannot function without...my sleeping, eating habits have been greatly altered, my executive execution skills are gone and I am very concerned that my abilty to work for a living will result in errors that will altar what little stability there is in my life. Being forced to change pharmacies was a major inconvenience for me since I live very close to Groton CVS and was always patient, polite and very appreciative of being taken care of by such a nice staff....despite HORRENDOUS waiting lines due to having multiple registers and never allowing employees to operate more than 1 even though there are 3 registers...which I wouldn't ordinarily complain about- but why not.... After many more than 5 years at this pharmacy I feel like I was failed as a customer. Neurodivergences can come with many spectrum issues and can quite often lead to near fatal consequences when you are negligent of patients' needs and classifying them as consumers while telling them that they have a right to access affordable healthcare- but then YOU CAN'T...I know because I have lived this nightmare and been directly affected by it. That separates "health" from "care". My health deteriorated due to this "national shortage".... In my case I am under the care of an excellent care team and very much care about life in general, but feel compelled to make sure others know what is going on.... I hope that no one who needs life saving medication that is considered a higher priority is ever treated the way I have been by a business I used to trust. I wish all the wonderful employees at CVS bright futures and that no one ever experiences what has been done to me- which was corporate gaslighting through the customer service rep who literally told me "ma'am, in all respect, you do not have diabetes" and I see this as a failure to really investigate when I called, and this is why I felt compelled to call the drug manufacturers and a few other places since this issue NEEDS MORE INVESTIGATING..... read more

It's just amazing that this company can still operate and stay in business with such horrible customer service. You would think they could hire and train people properly in the pharmacy but yet they have failed historically for years. the Customer Value Sucks here lol read more

MINUTE clinic here SUCKS. Rude girls working and can't even tell you if you're contagious or not. Waste of money go anywhere else.

The customer service at the pharmacy is absolute garbage. The one pharmacy tech is flirting with the other one when they're 30 people in line that need medicine and they don't seem to care about anybody. Also, you'll sit in the drive-through for 15 minutes and then they shut it on you and then you got to go stand in line with everybody else Totally not fair and they didn't even put the medicine in the bag. Probably one of the worst CVS's I have been to. You can be stuck sitting in the drive through to pick up prescriptions for greater than 30 minutes even when only a couple cars are in front of you. read more

Terrible service. Have been using this pharmacy for decades but will transfer my prescriptions. Every time for the past five months, they say it will be ready. When I go in two or more hours after the pickup time they gave me, they want me to wait 25 minutes more. Why call ahead? Supremely understaffed at this pharmacy. read more

Can you imagine having a major surgery and your doctor being on hold for over and hour to confirm your prescriptions for discharge and not getting through to the pharmacy. Then arriving after anesthesia in severe pain and having to go inside because the drive thru is closed then being told it's a 30minute wait. Once that wait is over the tech says your insurance is inactive when it's active but they insist it's not. Then giving a lame excuse that they're separate. Last time I checked insurance was either active or inactive. Especially after knowing you just used that same insurance for your surgery and every time you fill a script previously at other locations with no issue. Yet for some reason Groton CVS just cannot seem to function or get insurance entered. I've had scripts filled in the past from here with my name written incorrectly as well. I am still in shock at how rude and disrespectful the pharmacist was to me. the tone of her voice was extremely condescending. When I asked about possible withdrawal effects from a medication, I was told to google it. Some people should not be allowed to work with the general public. Especially in a job where they need to give people their medications. read more

Their customer service sucks. My fiancé went here and bought two bouquets for mothers day and we went to a family gathering and opened them up. The bouquets were soooo moldy we had to throw 2/3 of it away. It was embarrassing. I took pictures and when i went home and got the receipt out of our trash to get a refund hey said they needed the flowers back. I showed them the pictures and they said it didnt matter. He even had the gall to say "oh I remember him from this morning, didn't he say that he stuck the flowers in the freezer and killed them?" I said "what? No absolutely not and I'm not going back to my mother-in-laws and digging through the trash for them." The pictures should be enough. He said sorry we need the moldy flowers. Possibly the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever used. I've had prescriptions LOST by the pharmacy twice (with no accountability and no apology). I've received text messages that a rx was ready, just to be told upon arrival it wasn't ready, I've also received messages a rx was ready just to find out it was out of stock. My most recent attempt to fill a prescription was also a fail. I received a text that my medication was ready, when I called they told me it was out of stock and would be in the following day. The next day I received a text that it was out of stock and to call if I wanted to pick it up at a different cvs. So, I call and they tell me they CANT send it to another cvs. Mind you, they had already lost the first rx so I had already called my doctor to resend it. They tell me I have to call my doctor AGAIN to have it sent to a different cvs unless I wanted to wait until Monday (this was on Thursday). When you are prescribed medication, you need to take it consistently, they should know this. When I called my doctor, she said that every other cvs she worked with would acquire the medication from a different cvs to fill the order and was blown away that the groton one doesn't even attempt that. There is never any attempt whatsoever from this cvs to accommodate their customers. They do not care, do not offer solutions, and are completely unapologetic about their lack of professionalism. I tried to switch to Walgreens but unfortunately my insurance requires me to use cvs. It is VERY rare that I don't run into some sort of issue with them filling my prescriptions. I understand the pharmacy is busy, but I can't help but wonder how much of that is due to complete incompetence. read more
