Firstly they are always extremely understaffed. Because of their auto refill policies and just any new Rx you have to call and they leave you on hold endlessly and often hang up. They never have anything in stock at the pharmacy, it takes days for them to order meds. Also never restock product on the shelves. You end up waiting in line forever for your scripts and then if you need something from the store you have to find it and if you're lucky enough to, you get to wait in a line halfway through the store because of understaffing and every checkout is incredibly slow, mostly because of their ridiculous swipe machine that asks so many questions it's impossible to even pay and check out quickly. Also they continue to defy city ordinances and never remove the snow from the sidewalks around their store or the pedestrian entrance. Recently fell and injured myself badly on black ice and almost got run over because I couldn't get up. They don't care they just keep doing it. Also a couple of the staff are nice but some are either outrageously incompetent or there's one girl that reminds me of Samara from The Ring. Completely creeps me out because she doesn't usually speak, just gives a mean blank scare. Spooky. This store is the only one I can make it to usually, being disabled and having no transportation so I wish they'd do better but for people with the freedom of choice I would not recommend this Walgreens. read more

Walgreens - Walgreens not removing snow days after blizzard ended. - Drugstores Near Me - New London, Connecticut

I went to drop off a package and the employee who helped me was so welcoming and nice! They saw me from across the store and said they would be right over. Additionally, they noticed my package was rather large and told me I could put it up on the counter instead of standing with it in line while they helped the customer before me. Additional customers went up to a different counter and the employee let them know they would be right with them too. Seems like just little things, but I really appreciate their attention to detail and emotionally intelligent customer service--we need more everyday workers like them!! read more

The trip in to Walgreens' photo counter was great. My 4 stars is based on creating a photo book, so I can not say I'm a real fan of this store, due to having visited it once. But the service was amazing none the less. It was a crazy weekend where the last thing I needed to do was make a hard cover book to commemorate the festivities. With several hundred photos sent from family and friends, I had to choose wisely because there's a maximum of images you can put in these things without going into added pages (and bigger price). The staff at the photo center were wicked helpful and patient. So many questions (why are my photos out of order - they're in book layout order on my phone? Where are all the rest of my photos - not all of them are loaded?), they kept their cool and showed me how to properly get the images to show. Unfortunately, none were in the order on the kiosk I wanted, so I painstakingly had to reorganize. Over an hour later (fun fact: this thing doesn't have a time out or refresh rate), a couple books were printed and paid for. No wonder why some of my family members love this location... glad I stopped! read more

Save yourself grief and abuse, find a different pharmacy. A pharmacist named Amanda, refused to fill a prescription for me because of some personal opinion she had in reference to my need for pain medication. I explained that this was my fourth or fifth refill following an extensive orthopedic surgery and that the medical issues had been addressed the first three times the same meds had been filled. The woman could not have cared less and insisted that according to Walgreens, it was her discretion and she had full and final say. By this time I had already requested to speak to a manager then a supervisor and she told me she was the manager. I asked for a regional supervisor and she informed me there was none, which of course is false. When I contacted Walgreens corporate, they had the regional manager call me. Please. Do not become a customer at Walgreens in New London. I consider them, my own very humble personal opinion, to be both incompetent and unethical. My experience goes back 4 months with Walgreens so I haven't been a long-standing customer. I had a knee replacement and my doctor phoned in my pain meds and for 3 Days Walgreens couldn't find my pain meds in their system. Well I guess I shouted loud enough and someone said oh it was in your profile not really where it should have been. So here I am in a pretty painful dire situation and these people can't find my script. I had several other instances of their internal systemic failures. But last Saturday I went to the drive-thru to pick up Celebrex, a generic Celebrex prescribed by my surgeon. Well guess what suddenly they can't find my card in their file but they're willing to sell me none generic Celebrex at full price for $157. I said to them you have had my card for 4 months why now. I think they wanted to sell me Celebrex for cash rather than through my prescription drug plan. The pharmacist who is working should be fired. She was a snotty b****. I can't say enough about how awful I think this Pharmacy is. My advice. Don't use some just drive right on by read more
