The Sephora of my dreams! This store has the biggest Topicals selection I've seen in CT. I typically order their products online (check them out for skincare) but I was able to snag so many of my favorites in store. If you're in the beauty realm of the social-verse, then you know Eadem lip glosses have been sold out for weeks- NOT HERE! I was able to snag a bissap glaze and boba bounce and even debated buying them out. The staff was friendly. I appreciated being able to get my birthday gift a little early. I wish the Sephora near me was similar to this one.

First of all I love Sephora. This location inside Mohegan Sun is absolutely stunning. Not all chain stores are identical and this one is a cut above the rest. From the outside on the casino floor it just looks pretty and inviting. Stepping inside you're in pure heaven. All the stations are set up perfectly and the lighting is great. What I likes most about this location is that everything they had out as a tester was in stock. My biggest makeup pet peeve is when you try a tester and want to buy the boxed item and they don't have it. Or, when your going in for your usual product and they have the tester but its out of stock behind the sample. Here, that wasn't the case. I liked that the staff wasn't clingy or pushy. When I'm shopping for makeup I like to be left alone, its my therapy time LOL. Also, this store had the Tarte rainforest of the sea cleansing gel I have been searching high and low for. I was pretty hyped when I found it. Definitely the best Sephora I have ever been in. Loves.

Let me just start by saying that this Sephora was a huge let down for me, and has changed how I feel about the company in general. In my opinion, this store should have been 1000x better than what it was. The store was messy and dirty, very small making it hard to navigate (especially with a stroller), and the employees seemed to have attitudes towards customers as well as "clicks" amongst themselves. Upon walking in I could see a few employees giving me bad looks as I took pictures of the entrance. As I asked an employee a question, the manager came over to help her and looked like she had a bad attitude and did not acknowledge me. That made me not even want to go in. It was obvious from where you enter that the store is very "compact", and for the quantity of people it was just not practical. For someone looking to spend time testing makeup and look around in peace, this is not the place. It was way too hectic and gave me anxiety. All I could think about was leaving. As I strolled around the store I noticed that it was very disorganized and dirty. Every palette and tester had stuff all over it, finger prints and product. Almost every brand had testers and stock missing. The most shocking thing to me was that one of the Too Faced bronze testers had clearly been re-pressed. Who knows what happened to it, but not something I would ever expect to see in any makeup store. My experience was not all negative, there were two female employees working the floor who stopped to talk to me and play with my baby. They were very sweet and genuine, thankfully they are there. The others who ended up asking if I needed help asked reluctantly and with a fake smile. I saw a couple employees talking about the other ones, and tried to play it off when I came around the corner. If I do end up going to another Sephora, it will simply be to review their store. I did not buy anything at this store nor would I consider it. I prefer to go to Ulta where everything is in great shape and there's more space, it's just an all around better shopping environment.

My daughter went to a table to look at a red holiday necklace sitting on a dish.. the employee walked over telling my daughter directly not to touch anything as she attempted to reach for the decor. We left the store and came back. My daughter picked up a set of small stainless steel measuring spoons and I was talking to my daughter already telling her we have to be careful.. it is not a toy we cannot play with them. She rushed from behind the counter again directly talking to my daughter in an angry tone.. she demanded her to put it down and literally said "do not touch anything or you will break the merchandise". I told her I was already having a conversation with my child and that she is just sitting there with the spoon no where near anything fragile.. My daughter's expression was frighten.. I let the employee know that wasn't necessary and a verbal altercation ensues. I tried to remain as calm as possible as my daughter is observing all of this. I was shaken and I said this isn't how you treat customers and she goes "that's if you're a customer". I asked for her name and she said her name, I couldn't hear her so I asked again and she said her name was Karla. She then says she does not care if I report it to Mohegan sun. This employee was a tall older Caucasian woman with dark hair shoulder length. She wears dark frame glasses. I should have taken a photo of her. Today is Sunday, 1/21/2024. This happened at around 11:30am to 11:40am. I have shopped at this location many times and never have I experienced anything like this. Whether I am a customer walking into look or actually purchase something.. this is not acceptable behavior. I came in today with the intention of purchasing something but ended up with disrespect and attacked. Most upsetting part is that she was so unkind to my 4yo daughter. I kept calm throughout my conversation with her. This woman represents the brand of this company. This is how I will remember Le Creuset. This lady with her nasty attitude towards my innocent child.

Acclaimed chef and co-creator Chris Santos was one of the pioneers of the small, share plate dining trend that has swept the nation, and with the Beauty & Essex menu, he once again has created waves on the food scene. This place has a cool speakeasy feel to it. I'm starting it out with a bottle of Saratoga sparking water. It's nice and cold. I love this stuff! For my first drink, I'm having The Woodsman. This is made with Suntory's Toki Japanese Whiskey, muddled pear, Allspice maple syrup and fresh lemon. This is nicely garnished. I can smell it (the Allspice) from here! It's not very strung but it tastes great! I'm doing the "Beauty For Two" menu, except it's just me). It's only $99. It's only available on Sunday, Monday & Thursday from 5pm - 6pm. You can't go wrong! For my first item, I'm having the KALE & APPLE SALAD made with apple cider vinaigrette, pancetta, candied pecans and shaved goat cheese. Look at the height of that salad! It's a bit crunchy! I ate it all. This is great! For my second item, I'm having the GRILLED SHISHITO PEPPERS made with lemon harissa (spicy, aromatic chili paste from North Africa, particularly Tunisia, made from roasted or dried chili peppers, garlic, olive oil, and spices like cumin, coriander, and caraway, often with a smoky, tangy flavor) vinaigrette, sesame seeds, turmeric spiced yogurt and mint. These taste great! I love the turmeric. This is a good sized portion too. That vinaigrette sauce is good! I'm a huge fan of shishito peppers. 1 in every 10 is very hot. I'm hoping for a few bombs here! The sauce is light and easy to eat. Yep. Polished off that dish! Next! The service here is impeccable. There's quick, knowledgeable and fun to talk to. I like the nice, peaceful music here. For my entree, I'm having the OVEN BRAISED CHICKEN MEATBALLS made with whipped ricotta, wild mushroom and truffle. For my sides, I'm having the SAUTÉED BROCCOLINI made with garlic ponzu and chili crisp, and BABY CAULIFLOWER made with parmesan brodo (the Italian word for broth, a flavorful liquid made by simmering meat (beef, chicken, or capon), bones, vegetables (carrots, celery, onion), and aromatics like parsley) and gremolata (finely chopped parsley, garlic, and lemon zest breadcrumbs). I can smell the cheese from the meatballs from here. Each dish comes with a large serving spoon. Oh yeah! These are good! They're maybe a bit "gamey" (which is a good thing!) if you know the taste. Note they only give you three medium-sized meatballs and a good amount of ricotta cheese. The baby cauliflower is absolutely incredible! I love the sauce on the bottom of the dish! The broccolini is the best part of this meal. It's a HUGE portion. The oozy sauce is great! The chili crisp adds some kick. For dessert, I'm having the ICE CREAM OR SORBET. The ICE CREAM is mode with S'mores: chocolate ice cream, toasted marshmallow and graham cracker - none for me. The SORBET is a Creamsicle: orange vanilla swirl sorbet and fresh citrus. Now that's all me! We'll look at this! There's a popsicle stick in it! I haven't seen one in years! I love the orange slices! This is great! I love this stuff! For my last drink, I'm having the TOPAZ MANHATTAN made with Johnnie Walker "Black Cask", Averna Amaro, Dry Vermouth, Crème de Cacao and Mole Bitters. It is served martini style. This has a cool garnish! The leaf is known as a called a "ghost leaf" (it's transparent!). "Ghost leaves" usually refer to natural skeleton leaves where decomposition has removed the flesh, leaving only veins, or a popular Halloween craft using leaves and PVA glue to create translucent window clings. I like it! Beware, this version is not edible. I like the super small, cute, clothesline pin. This is chilled, WELL garnished and delicious! Now this one has some kick! Kudos to the server for "staggering" my meal and giving me 20 minutes in between my courses! Normal time is like 10 minutes. It was a bit slow tonight so I got away with it. The server wipes down the table before placing the spoon down! That's a great practice! What a great meal here! Wow!!!
