I think they do that because now you don't have the option to do curbside or drive through. You basically have to go in and talk to someone at the Photo counter to dispute that the order hasn't actually been picked up. This location isn't too far from my house, but it is sooooo inconvenient compared to the other 6 or so locations that I visit. I only order here when I have to (item not in stock at other locations). I'll still do it to support Walgreens as a whole, but this location has a very painful process. Sidenote, the last time I was there I stood behind a lady who had already been waiting at the photo counter for about 10 mins for her pictures. She said some guy had told her he'd be back with help, but we saw him walk by twice with no help and didn't confirm with her every time he passed by that someone would be coming. I finally pushed the "help @ photo counter" button because she was too nice to do it.

I do get and then I don't. I feel some what bad for the employees in some sense as they have always been helpful at least when I needed their assistance. Plus the online ordering has completely changed everything and items that are now two or three times what they used to be. To be honest I pretty much pick up my prescriptions at their drive through and that's about it. I know CVS was bought out and the employees have no control over that. This is a big reason why some stores close and we are left to shop online. I'm only giving the store four stars only because of the employees and because of the store.

Pretty good selection of grab and go foods in a warmer and refrigerated case. Employees usually friendly and store organized and clean. I've never had a problem with expired Best Buy dates. The best part for me, it's one of the few Walmarts in the area that still sell cigarettes. The only negative, they don't have a deli and since it's a smaller store selection of brands is limited.

It was a Wednesday evening around 730pm, and there were 3 cars ahead of me. I probably waited 10 minutes to get to the front and another 5 to get my prescriptions. I was desperately searching for a florist for my daughter's wedding. No one was returning my calls. Then I had an idea- order flowers from Fry's and make the bouquets myself. So I spoke with Amber! She not only ordered the flowers we needed, but she crafted the exact bouquets my daughter wanted for herself and her bridesmaids! And Bella did an awesome job too!

They stand between customers, pharmacies, and medical insurance companies. A CVS or Walgreens has lots more leverage than, let us say the former Fairmont Pharmacy at Central Ave and Camelback Road. They were not getting paid by PBM's. Speaking of CVS, in 2025, my health insurance informed me my usual medications were required through CVS mail services. I now get my monthlies from a robot pharmacy near Chicago. Sweet D has been talking about visiting Melrose since Fairmomt closed. Being a stubborn guy, we never came in until April, 2026. I always need Cal Mag Zinc, Potassium, various stop the runny nose, etc. supplements. Plus a cool gift now and then. Melrose has all these, plus any out of the ordinary meds I may need. And...Our familiar faces from Fairmont found a new home. This is outstanding. I do not want thousands of small, independant, cool local pharmacies, family businesses, to be crushed by unbridled capitalism.
