I can't express my frustration and their lack of care to get my meds when I need them. Due to regulations (which I understand) I can only refill once every 30 days (No it's not an opiate). They will be out of my meds for several days when my refill is due, and if I have to go out of town I am with out my very important medicine for close to a week. Which then I have to call my dr and ask for a weeks worth at another pharmacy because they can't keep their meds in stock. Takes a lot of time and costs money I shouldn't have to spend. If you have a situation where your medicine is highly important for your day-to-day life, I highly suggest you AVOID this pharmacy. To be without your medicine that enables you to function and live your life, is as close to irresponsible as anyone can be in the medical field. read more

This is one of the few CVS pharmacies that carries Pepsi Throwback (with REAL SUGAR!!). I would come here just for that. They don't always have it, but are more likely than most to get some. Their CVS generic medications are fine, and obviously cheaper than name brands (with the same active ingredients!). Their staff, including the pharmacy staff, are generally friendly and helpful. This is a terrible pharmacy. I transferred my prescriptions from a CVS in Phoenix after moving into the area. I've been going to that CVS for over 5 years without any issues. At this CVS, I have filled a prescription twice. First time, they were out of stock and told us to come back in a day. We gave them two days and the prescription is still not filled. We were told to wait 30 mins and they would have it ready. After 30 mins we were told an hour longer. We gave them 3 hours and the prescription was still not filled. Finally after 30 more mins it was ready. The second time we had a doctor submit a prescription order to them directly. We called to see that they got it and they confirmed it would be ready in an hour. We gave them four hours and the prescription was yet again not filled. We had to wait yet another hour while they filled it. This pharmacy is horrendously incompetent and their staff is obviously not trained on how to manage prescription orders. They are unorganized and prescriptions are frequently forgotten among the other orders. Avoid going to this pharmacy! read more

The customer service At the pharmacy at this location was horrible on my recent visit. When I picked up my prescriptions I explained to the technician behind the counter that the name that popped up on the kiosk was not my name nor was it my email to send the receipt to. When I tried to tell this to her she said I would have to step to the pick up counter and speak to someone else. I certainly hope that there isn't any kind of HIPAA violation because wrong names or email addresses have been shared. and there were no less than 10 people in line so to have to stand in that line was not going to fit into my schedule for the evening. read more

The pharmacy service has just gotten worse and worse since the summer. At first I chalked it up to staffing. I tried to bear with them as the addressed issues. I suffered through requesting refills and them not being fill after a week, and likely would not have been filled at all unless I called. Twice, I have sat on hold for over an hour, (my phone counts how long you are on the call) I was just giving up after 15 minutes and adding to their line. You fear to make a complaint because often it is the pharmacist who you are trying to get to fill your prescription. What finally did it was being told two days before Thanksgiving that a med I needed refilled needed the doctor to put in an over ride because I was on two medications in the same class. That it would be handked the following Monday. I was a nurse, and I know problems like this do not get handled for a few weeks, and adding in a holiday was not going to make it happen on Monday. This specialty is not known for prompt responded since they don't need much of a medical staff. That doctor changed medications 3 years ago and I had been on this for that long. I could hardly hear her through the plexiglass, her mask, and her Chinese accent. She spoke too softly to understand. She finally over rid it herself, no doubt realising she made an error. I had been patient for months. I am done. I moved my prescriptions to the Target CVS. I asked them the next month about the med that needed an override. Gee, it was gone. This pharmacy should close. Get people trained elsewhere, and then have a reopening. I am afraid they may make a serious mistake. CVS has already had multiple cases of people being given the wrong medicine. They need to drop all of the other money making services that they are having these people do, and focus on prescriptions, not tests, shots, etc... read more

We have filled prescriptions at CVS for a decade in two states and four cities and only this location has given us any trouble. Terrible pharmacy. Two days to fill a simple antibiotic prescription. Even after they said they would "expedite" my rx, it wasn't ready the next day and I had to wait for them to fill it. The guy in line in front of me had to wait for them to re-do his prescription because they couldn't find it, despite their computer showing it was ready. The kid behind the counter says they're 850 prescriptions behind and everyone is upset. I wish this was just a bad day, but I've had multiple issues with service at this pharmacy. Be aware that the CVS Pharmacy location at East Williams Field and Val Vista would not accept my GoodRX coupon. I had it on my phone and showed it to the pharmacist, and she simply said that wasn't what her system was telling her and she would not accept the price on the coupon. I went in to return a non prescription product (CVS brand) I had purchased two days ago with the receipt in hand. The pharmacist asked what was wrong with it. I told her it wasn't working for me and it actually had the opposite effect on me. Sonja the pharmacist said we don't return products just because it does not work for you. Told me to go to front of store and call manager. This did not sound right to me. I went to the cashier in the front and I gave him my receipt and said I would like to return it. He smiled and said no problem. He returned it but I am not okay with the way the pharmacist spoke to me. If she is following CVS policy and I just got lucky the other cashier returned it...well than why would anyone ever buy CVS products because it's a big hassle and they do not guarantee thier stuff. read more

zero stars. first and foremost i just want to say do not make this ur go to pharmacy. i showed up in the store around 1:20. looked around and at 1:28 i went to thr pharmacy counter. the pharmacist looked at me and said sorry we cant help we go to lunch at 130. i said ok its not 130 yet. the person said sorry and walked away. the person looked very unhealthy and should not be working in a pharmacy. i am concerned that they are not intelligent enough to be dealing with life saving medicine when they arent smart enough to realize 1:28 is before 1:30 and they are still supposed to be working. that is not a hard concept to grasp so if you think about it, the fact that they cannot figure that out makes me highly skeptical that they can figure out medications. i believe the feds should look into any potential medical errors by this pharmacy because the pharmacy staff here has serious intelligence issues. read more

Just had it out with the pharmacist, who I can't even believe passed pharmacy school. We came about 9pm right after my surgery. I am in a rental car so I am the only one who can drive it, so even though I had emergency surgery, I still had to drive. Anyway we went through the drive through. We came close to 10 so the pharmacist who by the way looks Chubacca, (so you'll know her when you see her!) had a bad attitude from the get. Anyway I was given 3 prescriptions which needed to be filled, this meaning WORK for her big lazy ass! She slowly and RUDELY took my info, then told me it would be 30 minutes and waddled away. At least that was pretty quick, so I said ok and preceded to return some texts and emails in the drive through while waiting, with no one behind me of course. Seeing me out the corner of her coke bottle glasses, she STORMED back over, "HEY, HEY, LADY, you cant sit there, you need to move it NOW!" She told me (even MORE RUDELY) "Move along now!" and she Shoo-ed me away with her spastic hand motions...HOW RUDE! So I finished what I was doing, maybe 3 seconds, hunted for the gear shifter in the rental, that took a another second or 2, then, I can barely move my legs due to the surgery so pressing the gas took me a couple more, so I am sure I looked like a disobedient smart ass to Pharmacist Elnas AKA Chubacca, and clearly yes... I am quite the smartass, but I wasn't being I was just in INTENSE PAIN! Hello people don't usually end up in the pharmacy at their best right? Which means they should have be pretty damn good by now at customer service when working there, No!?? Anyway she then RUDELY told me how she wasn't going to fill my prescription now. "Hahha oh ok Miss(ssss), guess what? Now I don't feel comfortable filling this." "I don't like you so that is my right." She said. YOUR RIGHT? You don't like ME? Not my attitude, not my pain or even my seemingly smart ass too slow for even your slow ass movement...but you don't like ME, CHUBACCA? "I have done nothing wrong, what are you talking about, I am in PAIN!" I exclaimed! "Great so take a walk on in the store then and I'll fill it in here." She said. I responded AN, "I can't walk lady, I just got out of emergency surgery!" "Too bad here is a CVS down the street." She said, and she waddled away. That is when I flipped. I laid on the horn until she returned, asked for her name and license. Told her she was going to lose her job, at some point after she told me she wasn't going to fill it I started recording video of which I played a portion of for so could see herself and how she was acting. MIRACULOUSLY she apologized. "Please don't complain." she said, "I'll give you a gift card!" She said. "I'll fill your prescription." "Sorry it's just store policy." Hmmm that attitude you just watched your self give on tape, is that CVS store policy too? Funny what people start to offer when they see what their boss and the Arizona State Board of Pharmaceutical Licensing will see. Not to mention the attitude, the customer service and the blatant disregard for human well being & discrimination for the half crippled blonde with a doctors recommendation for pills because she just rolled off the surgery table! AHHHHHH. Whatever she rectified it. I got a $25 gift card to go with my now higher blood pressure. Still, it that was my grandma she was treating like that? Or yours. Horrible service. The pharmacy manager (a woman that has curly dark hair, glasses and quite tall) could care less about you and your well being. Awful management. I was not offered a chance to give CVS pharmacy a personal review, so this review will go on here. A note to CVS on Val Vista and Williams Field: If you want client retention and customer satisfaction, at least pretend to be nice to your customers and offer suggestions or help. There's practically a CVS on every other corner, so you'd think there wouldn't be much difference from one location to the next. I shop at this location most often simply because it's the closest one to where I live. But I do have to say that the staff here has always been helpful and friendly, and the shelves are usually pretty well stocked. I have been disappointed to find on-sale items out of stock on a few occasions, but I've never asked for a raincheck, so that's my own fault. read more

When searching in Yelp for a pharmacy nearby during our stay I found this was the closest to us but noted the reviews were not so good. Nothing could be further from the experience we had... Went the first time on the day we arrived and swear we were back for one thing or another every day after that. The manager was super friendly and helpful during a return we made of a faulty product and remembered and greeted us personally every time we walked in, cashier staff were the nicest ever and even the pharmacy staff were extremely amicable, professional and funny amidst a somewhat uncomfortable situation that came up with our doctor's office. Great selection of products and fantastic costumer service will make this our neighborhood pharmacy when in town! read more

On December 19, 2012 we took a prescription into CVS for Fluconazole. The tech advised us that for 60 tablets the price would be way over $200 and also advised that if we took the Rx to Fry's, it would be much cheaper. Thinking the savings would be negligible, we went ahead with 30 tablets at a cost of $106.99. Requiring a refill, we had the Rx moved to the Fry's store close to our home at the recommendation of the physician's nurse and were absolutely mortified when we got 60 tablets January 11, 2013 for $16. Possibly we're talking the price difference between brand name and generic but then why didn't CVS offer us generic? What a total ripoff by a large chain that we thought we could trust - you can rest assured that will be the last Rx we ever take into a CVS store. Now we know why so many people take their prescriptions to Fry's. read more

We've frequented this particular CVS in the past and I can't say that it's anything spectacular. Nothing sets this store out or makes it better than the rest. So for that, it deserves a solid BLAH 3 stars. I had the unfortunate ability to put their customer service to the test this evening. Due to everybody else's inability to perform their tasks I was given a prescription late in the day and waiting for someone to graciously drop things in their life and come pick you up to take you to fill a prescription can be challenging. I showed up with just about 10 minutes to spare before they started closing down. The lady informed me she didn't want to fill my prescription because it wasn't "enough time." She processed our paperwork in a quick couple of minutes and even though she had plenty of time to really make a good customer service decision she held fast and it looks like I'll have to be returning sometime in the morning around 9-10 when they open up at 8...... Those are her words..... A busted tibia and no pain pills equals one good time. Having friends has pharmacists, I know that it doesn't take any time at all to fill a prescription. It's just a matter of whether or not they want to, they already have the approval. They also have to close down shop and they have so much time allotted for that so there's really no reason other than poor customer service and for that I think we should deduct 1 star. I look forward to a night with no pain medicine why she probably sleeps on a sleep number. Granite, everybody else screwed off today (i.e. Doctors) but when you can do something and you choose not to just because you don't want to that deserves special recognition. read more
