I'd give it more stars, but I got a vaccine the other day, on a Thursday, and my arm was sore until Tuesday the following week. The vaccine giver just jammed it into the front of my shoulder. May be it's time to review vaccine delivery protocols with the staff. The store is a newer, larger CVS so it seems to have a good selection of product and it's near a lot of other stores.

There was a pretty big mixup today with my insurance that was not only going to be an inconvenience for me but also was going to be a huge source of anxiety for me as well with a new medication. I have picked up other prescriptions before, either for myself or family members when Derek has been working and he always is so pleasant and accommodating. I have noticed the way he interacts with customers because it is not ordinary-he is usually smiling and making a well-above average effort to fill prescriptions, answer patient questions and provide suggestions. That pharmacy location is always insanely busy-it is ridiculous, in fact....and I am there frequently and I have never seen him not hustling to get everyone taken care of and doing it with a smile. In this post-Covid, crazy world where most people don't even make eye contact any more he is a diamond in the rough. I am not sure why there are not more good reviews for this location, because I know for a fact that there are plenty of people (some who I know and others whom I don't but have been side by side with) at that store that receive the same great service I am describing. The shelves are always empty of whatever you need from greeting cards to soap. Sadly, the pharmacy also suffers and lots of times they send you away saying the is a "shortage" of medications. Strangely enough, other CVS locations don't seem to have these issues. The pharmacy always has crazy long lines that never seem to move.....something that I remember seeing about the USSR's bread lines. Also the people that work there in the pharmacy are also very strange and moody. One positive about all this, is if you have a child brainwashed about how good socialism or communism is, you can take them there and give them a taste and experience that system, and what it's really like.

I take my kids to the soda fountain to grab a frappe or hot chocolate a few times a month--as it is a great place for a made-to-order treat and a location where you can hang out together. Many residents of this town are frustrated by the remaining "name" pharmacy chain and their impersonal service. Worst of all, they are frequently without inventory of some of the most popular medications--which seems to make no sense! Rather than stay frustrated, we moved our prescriptions to Goldenseal. Oxyconton- It is never in stock and when I questioned why I was told it is backorder how ever it almost always is available the next day. If it is truly backorder rather than out of stock why is available the next day? This is only one of a myriad of issues I have with this pharmacy. At times the staff are unpleasant, particularly the pharmcists.
