Terrible service. I had 3 prescriptions to fill. 1 for myself and 2 for my son. I dropped the prescriptions off at 8:30 PM. The attendant checked and said that they had all of the medication. It was the first time that my son was getting something filled since getting new insurance so I had to give his card. The attendant almost forgot to give the card back to me. No big deal, she seemed a little careless, but she told me my prescriptions would be filled by 9:30 PM. I waited in my car.
I get a call on my cell phone at 9:27PM and the same attendant says to me, "I'm sorry, we only have the name brand. We usually full the generic for you. The name brand isn't covered by your insurance. Do you want to pay cash?"
Cash would have been well over $150. So, of course I said "no." I asked if she could double check that my insurance didn't cover. She did, while I was on the phone and it did not. I was a little upset because it was now 9:30, I was out of the medication so I needed it for he next morning and I was told that it would be filled.
I attempted to voice my complaint on the phone but before I could really finish my sentence the attendant said, "our pharmacist was backed up and she just now got to it."
I again voiced my displeasure when I got to the window of the drive through. I was also on the phone with my husband and I remarked to him, "this is idiotic." I offended the woman at the window who said "you don't need to use that kind of language. It was an honest mistake."
At this point, I kept my mouth shut because I would have likely used some words much worse than idiotic. It was not an "honest mistake," this was being careless and lacking attention to some very important detail and not taking the time of customers into consideration.
I had to request that they return the prescription to me. It was written all over and they had even left some type of sticker on it indicating that it was at CVS. I couldn't take it off so when I took it to another pharmacy, they were very suspicious and asked a bunch of questions regarding the prescription. Basically, making me feel as if I was a junkie, even though I take my medication as prescribed and am very careful because it is a controlled substance.
The disregard for my time and lack of due diligence was very disheartening. I have been a loyal customer to CVS for 10+ years. However, their customer service and their ability to provide overall quality services has diminished significantly.
I will be switching any and all of my and my family's prescription business to Walgreens. This was absolutely ridiculous. I do not recommend this store to anyone. read more
