About damn time they added a row of self-checkout machines here! This is the first place I've seen so far that the registers consist mostly of self-checkout machines. They did some renovations a few months back. They got rid of the long counter that had multiple cash registers and only 1 cashier on duty. They finally added these machines and it's much more efficient. The lines here use to stretch to the back of the isle. By adding the row of self-checkout machines, I must say job well done! No longer do I have to watch a stupid cashier try and figure out the change or count money for that matter. read more

I had the absolute WORST customer service (or lack thereof) experience at this store. The pharmacy cashier, Nabila, was rude, abrasive, and downright nasty, in a way that will baffle me for some time. I frequent this CVS on an almost daily basis and have never had a problem but the incident that occurred on May 9 has impacted me in such a way, I will never visit a CVS store again. I was not aware of the new rules for purchasing Zyrtec (and other such products) and when I asked for an explanation, the cashier Nabila, called me "stupid" and some other term which I could not make out. I asked to speak to the manager and to my dismay the manager had been standing there witnessing the ENTIRE incident and did not once intervene or redirect Nabila. When I indicated to the manager that Nabila owed me an apology, Nabila mockingly said "sorry" and walked away laughing. It was an unbelievable experience. I sincerely thought I was on an episode of "What Would You Do". That an employee would speak to a customer in such a way is disgraceful and disturbing, but that the manager watched and did nothing, was even more mind blowing. Nabila attempted to humiliate and embarrass me and she most definitely came close. I come from an time where receiving customer service was expected and giving great customer service was done so with pride. What transpired at this Forest HIlls-based CVS was too poor to even call it customer service. Again, I will no longer frequent CVS, Forest Hills or any other. This is probably the worst cvs pharmacies I've ever been to, but the location is convenient to where I get picked up after work so I keep coming back. I've had trouble getting prescriptions filled there many times. Last week I was diagnosed with bronchitis, and I had the urgent care center send the prescriptions electronically since I knew it would take me an hour to get there and the pharmacy is always busy. They didn't even acknowledge that the prescriptions arrived, and they acted like I crazy. Only when I left the store and gone somewhere else did they call me to say they had the prescriptions and that it would take another 25 minutes to fill them. It makes me think they had the prescriptions all the time. read more

CVS - PHARMACY Kew Gardens Union TPKWY I went to this CVS with my prescription...I just want to share that I am very happy I DID NOT get my prescription here...The doctor sent my prescription ...they claimed they did not receive anything from the Doctor...then when they found my prescription...my prescription was $200.00 the INTERN they hired did something wrong I went some where else and the same prescription was $17.00...they make a lot of errors in the Pharmacy Department in this CVS and the CVS on 71ST ...they really do not like to help people if you ask them a question and basically the just do not knot the answer...and they play "DUMB"...the guy in front of me they were trying to over-charge him for his medication....so they do not hire QUALIFIED people at both of these CVS locations.... read more

The location is more cluttered and disheveled than a standard CVS. There are often empty shelves, boxes in the aisles, and the aisles are smaller than most places. The service is better than most NYC CVS locations. There are normally three or so employees in the front. read more

My problem at this location is with the photo finishing. I have ordered photos three times and each time the photos have been late or the equipment is down. Very frustrating! read more

So, there is no point of filing a Civil Suit for very small claims because in this case all I could be reimbursed was my copay, but the Better Business Bureau was able to rectify the situation. I eventually received a call and was told I would be refunded my copay and be given a $25 gift card. Trying to get the gift card was a whole other issue I don't feel like writing about. Overall I don't plan on ever going back again. read more

Not the best pharmacy but the easiest one to get to from the subway station at Union Turnpike. Employees are clueless. Many times things are not in stock and aisle are a mess but still better than the Duane Reade near by. Self-check is way better than the cashier because there is also a huge line during rush hour evening. read more

The store has potential to be a 4 or 5 star location because it is lower priced than others and had a quick checkout but the pharmacy is so bad that I felt the need to write this review. I had prescriptions transferred from the Manhattan CVS which could not fulfill it and sent it here to be ready the same day. I was told it was ready and took the subway in. Long story short: the pharmacist/staff that answered the phone and told me it was ready made a mistake and it could not be corrected that day. The male pharmacist that I was with tried to help and was nice but because the other person made a mistake earlier, the insurance needed to confirm it was not being filled twice due to the error and did not fill it. First time dealing with this pharmacy- we have to use cvs Caremark due to a change in our company's policy and the first experience was terrible with the CVS on Lex and 97th street where either no one answers the phone or you are on hold forever and lucky if anyone comes back. At this pharmacy, the phones were answered quickly and the young man who answered the phone from the pharmacy went out of his way to make sure that I got the medication I needed in time. Also was greeted by a friendly young man who asked if we needed help. Only reason for 4 stars is that I did get disconnected a couple of times when I was first calling. Great job and may have swayed my first impression of CVS!!! read more

The product clearly said 2/$5, but the mgr denied us the discount - even after I personally went back to check the tag thinking I had misread. And without asking us, he removed the products from our basket. How rude! We will definitely go out of our way to avoid this place. read more

I got my photos done in stores the employee that assisted me was Geeta. She took her time and didn't rush anything, she did a great job and I will definitely go back and have her print more pictures for me! She helped so much and is very friendly.
