Every year this Walgreens offers onsite flu shots for our employees and are always pleasant to work with. I've only had one annoying experience with this Walgreens and it was with regard to their policy with purchasing Visa gift cards. It is Walgreens policy that they require cash or debit cards to purchase them. This was such an inconvenience for me as I had a company credit card that I needed to use to purchase on behalf of the company. Purchasing a Visa gift card, specifically a Vanilla gift card there are no exclusions to tender that to be used for forms of payment. So this is a Walgreens specific policy in place. I realized upon going back to work and sharing my experience that other employees had no issue purchasing Visa gift cards with their company provided credit card. So it seems Walgreens employees don't consistently follow their own policies, only when it's convenient for them. No worries, moving forward I use Kroger on Middlebelt and 11 mile as my go to place for these purchases.

It might be because I get so many prescriptions that have to be filled, but even a few of the people behind the counter knows my name. If they don't have one of my too many prescriptions in stock, they quickly order it. While I hate the fact that if you don't pick the refill up on the day it is done you get too many text reminders and a phone call, it is not the store's fault. I also don't like having refills auto filled but that is the name of the game with most chain pharmacies these days. Only wish that they had a drive thru and be open 24 hrs. 365 days a week but I know they won't. Just got spoiled by one of those in the Walgreens chain when I lived in Monroe. On a Saturday, I got sick kid to doctor and sent prescription an hour before pharmacy close (Saturday those close by 3 pm). I called in to inform that I will be coming to pick up before they close and the prescription was ready by the time I was there (25 mins after I called in). (the one on Maple/Farmington is also pretty close, but I hate the roundabout and also making a left-hand turn into it ...) This is a pretty solid CVS, although the Clawson one was great so they had big shoes to fill. I am in their ExtraCare+ program, or whatever it's called now (I get $10 per month to spend at CVS, and in exchange I pay $4 per month, and also get free pharmacy deliveries). Despite that, I have been to their pharmacy a few times, and sometimes the line can get long, but usually it goes fast. The front-desk associates are always very nice, too, and I've placed a few photo orders here too. I would recommend this location overall, and it's convenient that it's a five-minute drive from me.
