Do yourself a favor and start going to locally owned pharmacies where the pharmacist actually cares and will fill your prescription on time, where you won't have to wait in a ridiculous line. The communication here is quite poor and I had no idea they no longer took my insurance. No phone call, no courtesy of that, so it was very frustrating to learn that detail as I walked up to the counter after waiting in line for some time. Tried to get a flu short but they didn't honor my appointment time and were backed up with others who were also waiting. I finally gave up after waiting for 30 minutes. They seem clueless. When I got to my other house in Houston, TX, I was able to get a flu shot right away at the CVS there, and I got a free bag of popcorn and a coupon! Double check your prescriptions here. I made the costly mistake of trusting that my correct prescription was filled and it wasn't. Upon realization, I called the pharmacy and they said that there was nothing that they could do. I had to spend $100 to get the correct prescription, and now am stuck with an RX that I have no use for. I used to love CVS, but it would appear that maybe they are understaffed, under trained, and over worked. Highly disappointed since I live so close to this CVS. I've loved the conscience of my the CVS network that I've been able to use in Florida, Colorado and the Bay Area. This location never has enough medications so if you need something immediately it's likely that they don't have it. If you are set up for auto refills or home delivery, they will ignore your account settings and it will not be processed. They constantly throw off my medicine regimen. If you have to go to them order two weeks in advance and understand that it is likely that there will not be enough inventory, that it will likely get lost or forgotten, and that you have follow up regularly. If you aren't paying attention your prescription will get lost and will not be processed. If you have time sensitive medication, this is not the place for you. I take blood pressure medication and another medication with a low threshold. I have been using this pharmacy for a year now and have suffered the consequences of having to go without both for several days.... Despite having auto refill set up all along... the results are having my blood pressure sky rocket and going through withdrawal... it's very very painful. I have a good friend that is a pharmacist so I tried to give the benefit of the doubt. One mistake is understandable. Multiple mistakes is a problem and that's what we're dealing with here. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Hold time - Drugstores Near Me - Denver, Colorado

This pharmacy is the absolute worst I have ever come in contact with. I was in immediate need of a medication my dr called in and they didn't have in stock for a week. I was texted the option to have it transferred to another pharmacy by calling into the pharmacy, to which is did. After an hour and a half of being on hold they still have not answered my call or the pharmacists call from the pharmacy I need the medicine transfer to. There is absolutely no excuse for this and CVS should be ashamed to have their name on this place. I will update as soon as they finally answer as to how my experience continued, but it's insulting at how disrespectful this is to their customers. Update: 2 hours on hold and still no pick up. I ended up having to call the Target store manager and ask that she walk over to the pharmacy and request they pick up their calls. I will be breathing better tonight thank you to CVS on W Cross Drive and their very helpful and supportive staff. This location sucks!!!! They let me stand in line 10 minutes to say that the person in front of me is the last person. They watched us walk up and wanted to argue for 5 minutes instead of just providing customer service and assisting us. They seldom answer the phone and aren't the friendliest. If this is your CVS of choice, I highly recommend changing it. I wouldn't wish this CVS on my worst enemy. If you go in to pick something up, the line takes 20-30 minutes no matter the time of day. And if you call, good luck!! They DO NOT answer the phones. I needed a prescription that was out of stock that was sent to them and called 8+ times spending 30 minutes each on hold only to never reach them. They needed to at least transfer the prescription to another pharmacy (which you would think would be less work for them). I never got a hold of them. The CVS I wanted to transfer to picked up on the first ring, imagine that!! This CVS does not want to do their job. Horrible service and long wait times. I hardly ever leave negative reviews but this place has been so consistently inefficient and difficult to work with. No matter what time you go, you can expect to wait at least 20-30 minutes, even if there are only 2 or 3 people in line ahead of you. The medications are always out of order and it takes them roughly 10 mins per person just to pick up one script. I have literally had to search the piles of meds on my own and point it out to the clerk after they've spent several minutes checking different piles. And when I've tried to call ahead to clarify things, I've waited on hold for 30+ minutes and been hung up on as soon as they answer. I would highly recommend using a different pharmacy. read more

Pharmacists are great. There is one cashier that has a terrible attitude 100% of the time. She makes you feel like picking up a prescription is putting her out. Usually only one cashier working at a time and have to wait ~20 each time. They need more staff. I only come here because they usually carry the medication I need while many others do not. read more

Worst pharmacy Ive ever used. Always have to wait 25 minutes or more to get my prescriptions (if they have it ready, which usually thats not the case and I have to come back to make the same lengthy line again). Today they outdid themselves; after waiting in line for 30 minutes, they refused for me to pay for a pack of cold and flu with my prescription and asking me to pay for this on the regular line (another 15 minutes) as they were too busy. It probably would have taken 15 seconds extra. It's a shame my insurance only allows me to use CVS, and it's the only CVS in the area. read more

This place is terrible. Always a huge line and long wait. Prescriptions take days to fill for no explanation. They've messed up my date of birth several times with my prescriptions which resulted in even more delay to having them filled and then blamed it on my physicians (who both had the correct birthdate in their records when I checked and sent the prescriptions in electronically, also had called in my prescriptions other places with no issues). I'm amazed this place has two stars. The service here is absolutely horrendous. First, I understand that supply chains are strained, but, this place routinely runs out of common items. When asked why they don't have it they quote the standard supply chain issues but then tell you the item was ordered and will be at the store the following day. So, it's not a supply chain issue, it's a inventory management issue. Further more, the front line staff are rude, show no effort and have a complete lack of empathy. They offer no solutions when they can't complete a task. They offer no effort to call another local store and check inventory. They offer no effort to give you a similar product. All of that was done by me, prompting them, so I can get my sick child what she needs. But don't worry, they're lack of effort was accompanied by an associated eye rollling, rudeness and condescending tone. I would give this place a negative star if I could. Cross posting This pharmacy got the prescription I was picking up wrong 3 times (both dosage and amount). Somehow, I was at fault and the manager/staff made it seem like she was doing me a favor by correcting their error. When I mentioned I'm not to blame, the pharmacist wanted me to admit there was a miscommunication on my part. I have no problem admitting when I am wrong, but in this situation, I was not, as I do not call in prescription, nor can I fill them. Regardless, in the past, I have had empathy for this pharmacy and their staff. I am now asking the staff here, to please try to extend the same empathy for your customers that: -can't call in to find out if prescriptions are ready because no one answers the phone - wait in line to find out that that prescription isn't ready, or in stock - come back days later, to wait in line again .. .all the while struggling with the fact that the medication is needed to prevent sudden death in the patient that's waiting for it... This next section is specifically for Steven, the pharmacist, who sarcastically yelled "you're welcome" to me as I was walking away. This is one of the least professional actions I have seen in a long time. I was bullied, manipulated and hugely inconvenienced by you and your coworkers (except for the one woman who actually has a heart and did damage control on your behalf). YOU gave me the WRONG prescription, the manager (and/or woman that works the register) also thought you gave me a 30 day dosage that cost $220+, which is why she offered to cut it to a 15 day dose, when the reality is, it was for 90 days. In short, she was under the impression it was a different quantity than was actually filled as well (so the miscommunication was between you and her, at best). As I said, check your cameras - I am not in the wrong and should not have been made to feel awful for TRYING to get the CORRECT prescription. So, no, I did not say 'thank you' for the terrible treatment, nor would I say thank you, to you, or her, for begrudgingly correcting your mistakes, after trying to make it seem as if it was mine. I would give this place a zero star, if allowed. This place has the most unprofessional staff, manager and pharmacist included. I am a visitor to Denver and had a prescription transferred to this location. We arrived at closing time. There was a line and we waited. When they got to the person in front of me they said that they were going to close and not take anyone else. I was last and they would not help me. They proceeded to argue with me for 5 minutes as to why they could not help me vs. taking all of 1 minute to get my already ready prescription and let me pay. The worst customer service ever!!!! I was having a lot of difficulty refilling a prescription, with my other pharmacy randomly closing, having to switch pharmacies for insurance, and a 3-5 business day delay getting it transferred from my doctor. I went into the CVS pharmacy and got in a long line to hopefully get some advice and check the status on my RX. Menijhea was super fast getting through the line, and she was so comforting, positive and helpful in guiding me through the process. Even though she was unable to fill the RX without my doctor sending it over first, she gave me steps to take so that I didn't have to wait additional days on my RX that I needed immediately, and I was able to fill the following day. read more

I have lost count of the number of times I've gone into this pharmacy and find multiple long lines of customers waiting to be helped. Additionally I have gone to this pharmacy numerous times after a doctor has called in a prescription only to have the pharmacy tell me they have not received the prescription order from the doctor. I then circle back to the doctor and sure enough they show me proof that the prescription has been called in. This is absolutely, hands-down the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with in my life. Stay away from this place at all costs. The pharmacy staff is inefficient, unprofessional and just plain rude. They don't keep their drugs well stocked and I have had to wait 3-5 days after dropping off a prescription before getting it filled. I've seen a ton of turnover in the staff as well in a very short time, so that should tell you something about how they run their business. I see others on Yelp writing about similar experiences, so I know I am not the only one who is very disappointed in the service they provide. For many years this pharmacy at Target was fantastic but since CVS took over its a hassle every time you need anything filled. Ben (the previous pharmacist) was just amazing and its very sad that he left this pharmacy.
