Please be careful here. They allow people who do not work here to hang out and harass/threaten customers who are shopping. Person responsible for the harassment was wearing a Lyft jacket and said he worked for them when asked if he worked for cvs. Front end supervisor supported the harassment. Came in at 740pm this evening to pick up a prescription and grab a few things. Will be moving prescription elsewhere. This location is unsafe. Not here to tell anyone what to do but share an unpleasant and unwarranted experience. read more

Absolutely no privacy for vaccinations. They have a makeshift station, with a partition that is falling apart, right next to cashier. Just unacceptable for patients to be exposed like that. read more

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the CVS on Eastern St. in Dedham. I don't really shop at the store at this location but used the pharmacy many times to pick up RX medications for my parents. The pharmacy at this location has the most incompetent associates and managing pharmacist. I always say it trickles down, and the manager always should lead by example. In this location, the managing pharmacist is argumentative rude, therefore, there is no surprise that each and every time I need to pick up RX at this pharmacy something goes wrong. The pharmacist in this location and the pharmacist at the Chestnut Hill location, Katia Aboutt must be connected somehow since both have the same horrible attitude. Katia was defending the incompetency of the pharmacist in Dedham, and become argumentative as well. It's bizarre that Katie doesn't know who she is working for and representing. For some peculiar reason, Katie believes that a customer is calling her and not the pharmacy at CVS. Her behaviour is incomprehensible and unacceptable in the health industry. The one thing I know is I would not recommend CVS pharmacy to any of my family or friends. It is obvious they don't know the importance of customer service for the store. I am taking my business somewhere else!!! read more

I cannot believe the amount of dissatisfaction with this particular CVS. I cannot speak for the pharmacy; however, in terms of the store itself, I always have great experiences here! While it's not the largest CVS by any means, this location in Dedham Square was just remodeled and has an incredible management team. All of the managers here (Mike, Vadet, and Patty) are incredibly helpful, friendly, and kind. They all consistently make my visits to this location phenomenal. They all care about customer satisfaction and have worked diligently on improving this location significantly over the past few years. The parking lot has been repaired (thankfully), the store has been remodeled, and better than anything, they have one of the modernized coupon center machines! The store is extremely well-stocked now (didn't use to be years ago), has full shelves, and is extremely organized. Some departments have a better variety than others. This is a smaller building and is therefore unable to carry everything at the store on Providence Highway by Legacy Place. Again, the biggest and most important reason I keep coming back is the customer service. They always want to make it right. They are super friendly and helpful in regards to coupons, rainchecks, etc. Many other CVS locations are not invested in making customers' experience positive, and that's what I appreciate most about this specific CVS (along with the other two in Dedham.... Dedham has three incredible CVS stores!). Just as an FYI, CVS has the best deals through the pharmacy chains (Walgreens and Rite Aid being the others), definitely enroll for an ExtraCare Card if you don't have one to get the best sales, and don't let your ExtraBucks expire! 5 stars for this location. I recognize that this is a very busy pharmacy, and I believe the pharmacy employees are terribly overworked. Having said that, how is it possible for 4 people working behind the counter - all of whom clearly know I'm there and are carefully avoiding eye contact - completely ignore me at the drive-thru for a full 15 minutes? I have found the pharmacy department to be understaffed but not especially unpleasant. All orders have been filled correctly. The continued use of plastic bags is another issue. A few days ago an Instacart shopper bought me Advil rather than the Tylenol I requested. The packaging remains unopened but the store will not refund "over the counter" items during the C Virus. Seems as if they might check medicine related orders as they are cashed out. Have no way to contact instacart. Maybe not such an indispensable business. read more

All CVS are awful. This one has gotten progressively worse over the last year. The staff pharmacists are rude and could care less for the most part. If I have to hear "this isn't my regular store" one more time from a technician or a pharmacist, I swear to god....that is no excuse-their corporate rules say so. When a prescription is sent in you fill it. Not put on hold because you are so busy. Don't tell me to wait in line for 10 min while you fill it and then 43 min later not have it done and tell me it's only been 30 min (what happened to 10?). I don't know what is so hard every time about finding something in the alphabetically labeled bin. Yes things get lost but they always seem to be where they belong....25 min wait in drive through when you pull up?! Cvs needs to get themselves together. Half the employees attitudes are great-and the other half suck. The company needs to staff their stores with employees that want to be there (and know the alphabet and how to process a prescription)-this store has a few-but the attitudes can't stay good for long at this hell hole. read more

Drive Thru states open at 8:00 AM Got to the window at 8:10 - Pharmacist said it will take me 20 minutes to open the window.. Also, there is a lot of turn over in this store. Just moved to the area and needed to switch up my CVS location. This one is closest to me. My doctor called in 2 prescriptions today, and within 5 mins CVS Pharmacy called me, and reminded me to bring in my new insurance card. When I got there, I gave them my card and my information was all updated. I also bought some items at the front of the store. The cashier was super polite and fast too! read more

7:30 pm Valentines day - overtired after returning from a trip. I broke my back up phone charger on the trip and my regular one at home was eaten by a vacuum. Everyone said its too late at night you will never find a charger on the way home ( I was at a party in Westwood). Well lo and behold - bought a charger with car/ home option ( Philips) that will also convert to 4 different phone models ( I am replacing the phone soon so this is a plus) The store is very clean - has a pharmacy groceries etc - would have gotten five stars if they had better register coverage. read more

This review is more geared to CVS.COM not the actual store, although they are not innocent in this review. CVS.COM phone loop is one of the worst I have ever dealt with in my life. This started by CVS in Dedham notifying me my RX was ready three weeks before my refill was going to run out. I didn't want all that extra medication in the house and would have rather waited another 3 weeks to pick it up so I didn't pick it up. I tried to go on line and my account said my meds were linked to a different email that I was no longer using because Verizon no longer offers email. I created a new account under my new email and I still couldn't access it because it was linked to the old one. Fortunately I was able to sign into the old one and change the email and access the meds but it only lets you do automatic refills and said my next one isn't due until 1/9 so now I've missed a whole month of medication. My guess is the old RX may still be sitting in the bin for pick up, although they told me they only sit there for 2 weeks or they pulled it and never changed the date for next refill in the system. Also, they send you multiple texts when it's ready, so annoying! Back to CVS.COM I literally spent 20 minutes pressing every button to get a person, because none of the options met my needs. I finally got a person and after I explained my situation he through me right back in the loop. I can only image what the poor elderly go through trying to navigate thIS system. CVS.COM you have horrible customer service and one of the worse VM systems in the country. What I really want to say is XXXX XXX XXX.COM! I've NEVER been so frustrated in my entire life! If you want to get in a bad mood, decide to use the drive through "convenience" window here for picking up your meds! Time and time again, I have waited in excess of 20 minutes to get my medication, sometimes with only one car ahead of me, and sometimes none! So painfully slow. I use the drive through window because I have two young children in car seats and it's easier to not get them out of the car. I will be using the cvs in providence highway going forward. Also, last time I got amoxicillin for my child, two days worth was missing from the bottle. New prescription not looking much better. Not sure what's going on here, maybe the pharmacist needs more staff. read more

Poor example of a pharmacy. Always understaffed. The place is a pigpen and there is no positive part about the store. My cashier took 15 minutes to ring in 4 people. When I finally got up to be cashed out, the cashier didn't first say "hi! How are you"? Instead said, "I like your shirt! It really makes you look too heavy". I've had people tell me to avoid this pharmacy. I should have listened. They routinely lose prescriptions or fail to retrieve them off the computer and the professionalism is sorely lacking. But it was close to my house, so we dealt. Convenience right? The last straw was this weekend. We have a 3 month old with very very severe allergies. We receive a monthly prescription for formula that is otherwise $50+ a can. Thankfully our insurance covers some of the expense, otherwise it would be about $550 a month. First my wife received a note asking if we would like to switch our auto refill from 30 to 90 days. She declines. Then we receive our monthly call letting us know our formula is ready (usually we end up there to find out that it isn't there, and it will be there the next day) Well Saturday comes and lo and behold, I arrive and it isn't there. Then I am told I have multiple formula prescriptions (one 30 and one 90 day refills) and I am not eligible to get any formula. After an hour on the phone to clear it up (their mistake), my wife finally arrives to get the cans today (4 days late) to find out they are short 2 cans. The VERY RUDE woman behind the counter argued like a 10 year old with my wife about the prescription size. When my wife asked to talk to the Pharmacist/Manager, she said she wasn't in. When my wife asked when she would be in, she said "later today". My wife again asked what time and the rudeness continued when the counter-person replied again loudly "later today". At $50 a can, I really don't want to have buy (2) more cans on top of the (1) formula can I already had to buy this weekend, to get me through this debacle. Wow, is this good customer service? I will speak to the manager/pharmacist, but at this point, it's time to move on. I just called my doctors office and had all my prescriptions switched to Walgreen's about a mile further down the road. I suggest you do the same, unless you like dealing with crass individuals with zero customer service skills. Worst of cvs drugstores and that itself is just bad. Started using them because of the drivethru and with small children who would usually be sick if I was picking up scripts it made sense. But they never NEVER have scripts ready. So more of a time suck than save. Half the time they are wrong - once could have been very serious. Time to move on read more

This pharmacy is terrible. They try to charge you full price for prescriptions stating they don't have your insurance info. If you don't have your card on you they ask you to pay full price with assurances that you can bring in your insurance card wih the receipt and they will refund the difference later. When you go back they will tell you they can't do it because the manager is not there, or they can't get in touch with your insurance company,, etc. While waiting in line I have spoken to half a dozen other people who have this same issue with them. read more
