I haven't been here in years, so I was very impressed by the cleanliness, orderliness, and wealth of stock the store maintains. I will say, though, it is a long walk from the double doors to the Pharmacy in the back, and this is the most important part of my review, it's obvious that walking is difficult for me, and the guard who was on duty was so incredibly kind. I needed a few things, and he knew where everything was, making it very easy for me and he walked beside me, which was so thoughtful. Literally the first time that has ever happened in a Walgreens.. The pharmacy itself is a great example of how a pharmacy should be run. They have three windows with employees in every window. There was a line, but it moved quite quickly, and there is ample seating while you wait. When I was getting ready to leave, and called for a car, the guard gave me his chair by the front door doors to sit while I waited. I could have waited on one of three cast-iron benches just outside the door, but it was cold outside. This guard is truly a gentleman and an exemplary employee of Walgreens. I didn't get his name, but I will always remember his kindness. For the seamless transaction, quality of stock and kindliness of the guard, I highly recommend this Walgreens.

Three people asked me for money outside. One followed me in because I said no. Inside, 1/2 of the customers were homeless. The one clerk seemed nervous. Let me remind you, this was at 3pm in the afternoon, not 3am. This made me want to leave so bad, but I was hungry. My spicy big bite hot dog $3.50 was OK. There was a promotion for two slices of pizza with a 20oz drink for $5. Not sure what 7-11 can do about the cleanliness of the homeless coming in issue. Stand in line for 5 minutes and you'll undoubtedly see at least 1-2 people walking away from the counter empty handed and dumbfounded. Normally i'd by coy about this sort of thing but let's call a spade, a spade. What you're looking for is the pharmacist with the blue hair (big shock). Now while she has the education of a pharmacist, she has personally decided she's a doctor. You need to watch out for her, bc if she disagrees with your doctors opinion (the one with the actual MD) she will void your persciption and refuse to dispense it. Unfortunately this is what happens when you give a peanut of authority to people who were bullied and never received therapy. Which is all plainly obvious when you interact with her. I have watched (and personally experienced) dozens DOZENS of customers stand flabbergasted while she waxes poetic about her vast knowledge of pharmacology and how she can't dispense a medication until the doctor writes a prescription using the words of her choosing (that's no hyperbole I'm being dead serious). She has called an MD i see and made him (a doctor of 30 years) write the words that don't upset her fragile mind. One prescription I picked up from location 8 times when suddenly, it's verbiage perturbed her and she denied it until re written. Bur fret not walgreeens corporate! i've done your job for you! I have recorded in video and audio the last 3 times she's done it to me, as well as her refusal to provide me her name to file a complaint. Which uhhhh ohhhhh is against company policy :o But in case you don't like that idea, I've submitted everything to the California State Board of Pharmacy. Enjoy!
