Despite other reviews, I can tell you this CVS has the kindest, hardest working employees and management. I'm here multiple times a week and have built friendships with the wonderful people who work here. There have been times I've witnessed them being treated horribly by entitled customers. The staff (from all my experiences) has always treated them kindly and worked to resolve any issues. Gold stars all around! read more

When I was at the Oakley CVS yesterday, they were two manager employees and two pharmacists at least. One manager employee was standing in front of the checkout registers with his arms crossed. He would not check me out and made me use self check out, which I find a pain. I have found this practice to be true of the CVS in the past also. read more

Worst pharmacy experience. I went to purchase syringes for my dog's arthritis medication. I have purchased syringes for this purpose from the same location before and was told to just bring the medication box (with the vet's information on it) in and show it to the staff person. I followed these instructions and showed the medication box to Jon Mayer, who suspiciously looked at me and asked if I had the actual medication, not just the box. I told him this is what I was told to bring, and I had no issue in the past. He responded that he would not sell them to me. I am disgusted and disturbed by this interaction and the stigmatization of people who need syringes. I shouldn't even need to bring my dog's medication. If who syringes are sold to is up to staff's judgment, that is informed by stereotypes and biases that are harmful for a host of reasons. I did not get that dog medication from CVS, but I get other prescription medications for my dog there. He didn't even bother to check, and I wasn't going to engage further in his implicit accusation that I'm going to do something illegal with the syringes. I would not trust this pharmacy with any of my or my family's medication needs or health information. Completely unprofessional and unethical. Pharmacy staff should do their jobs, not abuse their role by arbitrarily trying to morally police others when they are in no way qualified to do so. Given this experience, I wouldn't trust my private medical information with such a pharmacy that lacks basic professionalism and ethics. read more

I had a basket full of items to pay for and there were only self- checkouts- no humans to help. The checkout machines must have been acting wonky, because there waa a backup of confused customers. Last week I had a new prescription and with my new insurance had to fill at CVS. When I walked in to pick up the prescription, I was surprised to see the Pharmacist a friendly face in the neighborhood, Eric. He was previously at Target pharmacy nearby and is now at CVS Oakley Pharmacy. Eric is the most professional Pharmacist I have worked with at any pharmacy in Cincinnati. He greets customers by name and and goes straight to the drawer to pick out your prescription answers any questions you have about your medication, helps you find items in the store. What a welcome addition to the Oakley CVS and look forward to refilling another prescription soon. read more

One of the worst CVS locations I have been to. The pharmacist and pharmacy techs are great. Helpful, nice, quick. The rest of the store is a joke. The staff is so slow. There is always a super long wait for no reason. Today there was a line of 3 - 4 people and no one at the cash register. The manager had to come up to get the cashier. One time mistake, sure, but this has happened before. I have also asked them a few times if there were any coupons or extra bucks tied to my card and once was looked at like I made this up and another time was told no and then I went home and saw that they were wrong through the app. Please get some competent people working there... read more

After a horrible experience with the pharmacy today I will not be returning to this CVS location the people are miserable! Looked up the salary and completely understand why in today's economy but that shouldn't be taken out on the customers. Call a union and strike! There was a gentleman named Brandon (49k a year) who is an absolute clown and doesn't even speak and refused to help...he walked away and used a derogatory racial slur towards me which is extremely disappointing seeing cvs inclusivity policies and what they claim the organization stands for...Brandon S in Oakley should be discharged and not representing the CVS brand whatsoever! Then there was another woman who was a tad more decent then Brandon says words to greet you such as "Waddup" "Waddup Homey"...I haven't seen anything quite like it and it's a shame in this beautiful community of Oakley/Hyde Park that people who own the homes and make this community great are subject to this poor level of customer service and racial remarks because they hate THEIR jobs and THEIR lives....BEWARE HATE TO SAY IT BUT WHO KNOWS WHAT SOMEONE WITH NOTHING TO LOSE MAY DO TO THOSE FOLKS...I am concerned for their safety if they continue calling people N****** and treating them poorly read more

This CVS is located next to Fresh Market on Madison in Oakley. There is something about this particular CVS that look generic. I think it needs a renovation. The carpet makes it look dirty and small. Small and alittle dirty. It is organized and has the same items they would sell in other CVS stores. If I need Zyrtec and going to Fresh Market, this CVS is convenient. read more

This CVS is not a regular stop for me. However 2 weeks ago when leaving work I remembered that I had $5 in extra care rewards expiring that day. A quick Google search showed that M&M's candy was on sale at two for $6.00. So I drove down the street and around the corner to CVS. It was about 8:55 pm when I pulled into the almost empty parking lot. I saw a woman walk out of CVS and a man locking the door. I got out of my car anyway and walked to the door. It was not yet 9pm. I told the man my reason for being there thru the glass door then turned and walked back to my car as it seemed they were closed for the night. Then I heard the door lock click and the female employee calling to me to come back. I was able to enter the store, grab two bags of M & M's and use my $5 extra care rewards voucher. I like to go to a pharmacy where I trust the pharmacist to answer simple questions about over the counter medicines I'm buying. The pharmacist at this CVS is the worst. He is not helpful at all and has actually given me incorrect information, I think this is partially because he doesn't speak or understand english well so has a hard time understanding the question. I have been coming to this pharmacy for a few years due to the convenient location. However, I plan to inconvenience myself to switch pharmacies, because they never have my prescriptions ready for me when I come. I've tried calling in ahead or coming back later, and they don't have it ready unless I'm standing there holding up the line. Very frustrating. read more
