CVS doesn't dust or clean shelves. Spider seen crawling around products.
    Wicker Q.

This CVS is extremely dirty and dusty. Most products have an inch thick layer of dust on them. I wanted to buy some products from here, but they (especially on the lower shelves) were so dirty I decided not to. Previously, I bought a pair of stockings and when I took it home, a spider crawled out. I've also bought some ice cube trays from here and there was a dead bug in it. And recently, I saw a spider crawling around the products (see picture). The manager and associates need to be retrained on cleanliness and keeping the products and shelves clean. The workers need to dust and spray the shelves down regularly and vacuum the floors.

I called this Cvs 3 times for a total of 70 minutes in one day to ensure my prescription was there and ready and accurate because I had received texts saying medication I did not ask to refill was ready. I talked with Someone who said that they would put back the prescription I did not ask to be refilled and that my regular medication would be ready. So I call when I'm close to make sure that they have it right hold time 15 minutes. I can't move myself because of surgery so I sent in my girlfriend and she comes out 30 minutes later with the wrong prescription that is the one I specifically called and said I didn't need several times. They didn't include the prescription I requested. That store is a waste of time understaffed with huge lines and poor organizing so they can make a profit

I like the space of this store, and they are rarely out of what I need. We get so many good deals, and printed coupons (I know, the prinouts remind me of the Bill of Rights!) plus every quarter we get a % back. Walgreens takes FOREVER to reward us with points.

@CVS your payment system is useless.

the staff is much nicer than in Walgreens in Hyde Park. I prefer to go to CVS because of that.

Kinda small but the friendliest cvs pharmacy I've ever been to. There are four self check out stations, which is great for quick purchases.

Ask the Community - CVS Pharmacy

    What are the hours?

They are open 9:30 to 8, I think, on weekdays, and 10-5 on weekends, in terms of pharmacy, not whole store. Why close at 5 on weekends? To make our lives harder.

It kind of becomes weirdly charming and idiosyncratic to shop there after a while, like most things in Hyde Park.

short summary - This place had my Rx "in progress" for 2 days with no communication. I spent 1.5…read morehours on hold to get an update just to find out they don't have the meds in stock. And my insurance was billed for a Rx that they clearly did not have intentions on filling. Weird. Since I had so much time on hold to write this review, here's the full journey: I sent in my refill request first thing Monday morning via the Walgreens app and had an estimate pick up time for 12pm that same day. Since this Walgreens is near my work, I didn't plan to pick it up until after work hours anyway. By EOD Monday, the Rx still showed "processing." Since this is not the first time that this location has ran late with a Rx of mine, I didn't worry about it. I checked the app all day on Tuesday and still nothing. Slightly annoyed, but not worried much as I was off and wouldn't be in the area to get it that day. It is currently EOD on Wednesday and not only is the Rx not filled, I have not even received an update or a reason why. I called the automated system and all it said was "sorry for the delay." I decided to speak to a live person to 1) see what the delay is, 2) get an estimate time for my Rx, and 3) depending on the answers I received, transfer my Rx somewhere else. The system told me that I had "more than 3" customers ahead of me. It continued to update as my place in line moved up to "only 1 caller ahead". About 30 minutes in, there was a switch in the wait music and it no longer said my place it line and just played hold music. After another hour (Total of 1 hour and 30 minutes of holding) I FINALLY reached a person at the pharmacy. I'd like to note that I switched my pick up location via the app during my hour+ wait because I am simply done with this location. However, I still wanted some type of explanation. The pharmacy rep says that they don't have a Rx request on file (again, understood this since I switched it online). However I informed her that I had the request in for 2 days with no update and asked her to see what progress was made on the previous request. I asked her if they even had the medication in stock so that I could switch it back and have them fill it. This is when - after 3 Days and an hour and a half wait - I was informed that they did not have the medication in stock and weren't even sure when it would be supplied. If I had not called, when would I or my PCP been notified that my medication was not available? Were any alternative brands considered ? (I mean, they've switched my brand of medication on me before without notice). For her to not know when it would be in stock means that they didn't even attempt to request the medication from the supplier. This is not only extremely irresponsible of Walgreens but also very inconsiderate. Luckily, this medication does not mean life or death for me , and I can afford to miss a dose or 2 while I wait for the Rx to be filled, but what about those people that rely on medication for to live? They would literally die trying to depend on this Walgreens. Not informing someone the moment you know that their medication is not in stock prevents them from finding alternatives. Having hold times for over an hour is inconsiderate of your customers' time- especially if the call ends in no resolution and a lack of empathy. This Walgreens needs to step it up or leave our community. This is very negligent of them and I find it funny that I've only experienced terrible Walgreens visits in Black and Brown communities. Not pulling the race card but I'm simply calling it how I see it. Never had this issue when I used the pharmacy in predominantly white neighborhoods. The other reviews are spot on - find a different pharmacy if you can. For those that can't use a different pharmacy for whatever reason, I really pray that things improve so that your health is not impacted by their lack of compassion.

The people working there are the rudest people I've ever met, you don't even have to ask a question and they give you a look not to approach them. I went to this store this morning and there was maybe 4 people in the store and they where being mean to everyone, not just one employee be all the employees there. They loudly talked about the customers as if they were not there. Please stay away from this store, you will wish that you did.
