The slowest least organized pharmacy I have ever been to. Not to mention rude. Do not come here for anything .

The parking lot was not plowed. Today is Sunday Feb. 1, 2026 and the lot has not been touched. It is dangerous.

Their pharmacy staff is the worst. This isn't my normal pharmacy but I needed to price shop. I'm used to calling my regular pharmacy and easily being able to speak to a pharmacist. Here you have to fight with the automated system for several mins are forced to only leave a voicemail. So the 1st time I called I had to press the option as if I was a doctor's office calling. The pharmacist I spoke to was actually nice on that and when I asked what to do next time I called to reach a human she said to press the same option for doctor's offices again. But today when I called the Pharmacist who answered was totally rude when she found out I was a customer. She immediately cut me off and transferred the phone to someone else as if I was a low priority. The person I spoke with had less attitude but still had attitude. It was trust just getting through the conversation. Even if I could save costs I'd NEVER go here for my Rx's. read more

Just spent a solid hour in CVS bowie MD with wife in pain trying to get her pain medication to be told there's none in stock ??? Having to call doctor, and have it moved to a different pharmacy. Was asked to come back and tell them to cancel. To be rudely told to go to the end of the line. I walked out and had wife call and cancel. Spending another thirty minutes trying to get that done. I've had other CVS stores tell you a prescription will be ready at a certain time, and they are never ready. Took me twenty minutes at self checkout with coupons i just recieved not working because the machine either didn't recognize it or there was a contingency not allowing the discount along with other errors preventing a smooth experience. I'm done with CVS I'll never go to them again for anything. Won't catch me in the store or spending a dime. read more

Went to get my passport photos done. Didn't wait long. She was friendly & efficient. Store seemed cleaned & organized. I recommend.

The lines here are long. They don't have everything in stock you need at this location for some reason.

I promise I want to give this location more stars, and perhaps in the future I will. This review is based solely on my experience with the drive thru pharmacy. Always seem to have the medicine I need in stock, but oh my goodness...be prepared to sit in the drive thru for at least 45 minutes (on a good day). I should also mention that they do a lot in the drive thru- Covid exams, pick up/drop off prescriptions and you can even buy in store items. I waited so long, I took off 2 stars. Maybe in the future they will add a separate lane for just pharmacy prescriptions so the line will move faster. read more

Almost everyone in the pharmacy has an attitude and it's only 9am. Millicent at the window is extremely rude and rolled her eyes the entire time. I was told there is not a prescription for me, but there was. My doctors office had to go back and forth and tell this place because they accepted the prescription. I asked to speak to a manager and she was worse, very rude and unkind (Amanda). I will NEVER pick up a prescription at this pharmacy again. Management, why is your staff so angry first thing in the morning? Poor customer service. ONLY POSITIVE: There is a young lady name Chelby who is very polite and helpful. Chelby was the only person without a bad attitude. I can tell she doesn't want to be grouped of the unprofessional pack at this location. A manager needs to step in FAST! Insert eye roll. Not worth a lengthy review. Most unorganized, under stocked CVS on Earth. Pharmacy seems to be fully staffed, however the level of efficiency and accuracy that they perform is beyond subpar. Truly a sad establishment. It's in a good location and could really provide a beneficial resource if they would step up their customer service, inventory and ability to provide accurate information (PHARMACY!!) Absolutely the worst experience in pharmacy. The line is always long, inside and outside every single time - long wait times are frequent. Customer service is horrible in pharmacy with the exception of one person who was surprising professional after encountering the rest. Come with patience and expect to be treated as if you and your situation do not matter. I am a nurse so I understand the demands when giving care to others; however, the professionalism and customer service must always come first. Went in the other day to pick up a few items. The clerk decided to pick-up her cell phone and begin typing something as I was entering my pin number for my purchase. Texting and being on your cell phone while ringing a customer up is extremely unprofessional, plus it made me uncomfortable...no telling what information she may have been logging... I was there this morning at 8 oclock when they opened. There were 2 ladies. The african american was fine but the asian one had unfriendly attitude, She didnt like us coming in early... She didnt particularly say anything bad but she had that unhappy face when she saw us. read more

Today, 8/31/21- I had a prescription called in for my child. In an effort to save gas and time. I called to add insurance information, check on pricing and to see if it was ready. Needless to say no one ever picked up the phone, not even to ask me to hold. What's the point of having a phone if you are not willing to answer. Horrible service. read more

ZERO stars...this was by far the worst experience I've had at any establishment, and I have been a loyal customer of CVS for years. The associate who wrong me up, had me do a return and couldn't reapply my coupon. I askedbhim if he was sure my coupon will be reissued he said yes, and asked him if I have to do all of that inorder to add an item to my purchase he said yes. All I wanted to do was add an item to my transaction, the manager was also unhelpful, instead of resolving the issue he escalated the issue, and became the problem. Instead of spending $80, I spent $103 and the whole reason for me going to then CVS was because I had a coupon. read more

My doctors office put in a prescription for me last week. I went to the CVS Pharmacy Crain Hwy I was informed i didn't have a prescription there. So I left called my doctor's office again which they said it was sent but to make a long story short my prescription was sent to another CVS pharmacy in error i informed the CVS pharmacist on Crain Highway but they didn't even try to have my prescription forwarded to their location which they could have done. The service there is terrible i wouldn't go back there they had no compassion nothing. Really sad!!!! I was trying to get my inhaler for my asthma I shouldn't have given one star read more

As I began writing this it was 6pm and I am in my car. 6pm is what time the pharmacy closes, yet at 5:59 I was already out of the store and in my car after being told the pharmacy was closed. If you say your pharmacy closes at 6pm then close at 6pm. All I needed was an over the counter medication that they hold. That's fine I'll write this review to go with all of the others that are already awful for this CVS. read more

I just had a heart attack and had my prescriptions called into the pharmacy 3 - 5 hours prior to pickup. The pharmacy team did not fill them! Totally blew it off, even lied to me. Total lack of caring, their manager Kendra backed them up! Go to Crofton store it is a lot safer. Do not go you health is at risk. The staff still works there! Danger! Danger! Danger! read more

CVS Drug Stores use to be the only place in town. But several other pharmacies have opened up and as a result makes this just another drug store. They have better hours, but really just too far away for most Bowie residents. read more

I was greatly disappointed with the pharmacy's service the last two times I visited. I was told that my prescription was ready for pick-up, the first time. When I went to pick the prescription up, I was told that they were out of the medicine. The second time I went, I was told that my doctor's license was inactive (not true). When I proceeded to show the pharmacist the licensing records for my doctor (available through a public records search on the Internet) I was told that it didn't matter and that she would ignore this information. The pharmacist was terribly condescending- she repeatedly called me "honey". And she also refused to check the messages from doctors calling-in prescriptions and refused to listen to me when I tried to explain that I had an additional prescription to be filled by another doctor. So disappointing, especially since this is a 24-hour CVS. I've been filling my prescriptions at CVS for nearly 25 years and because of these incidents and the terrible customer relations skills for this particular CVS pharmacy, I will no longer be using CVS and I'm in the process of transferring my prescriptions to the Giant pharmacy at Collington Plaza. UPDATE: I decided to give the pharmacy one last try, as it really is the most convenient (drive thru and 24 hrs and right around the corner from my house). I dropped off two prescriptions and moments later received a call saying that I would need to get the prescriptions rewritten by another doctor because this doctor's license was not current. I returned to the store to retrieve the paper copies of my prescriptions. Arguing about it at this point was just not worth it. I then went to the Giant at Collington Plaza (a 5 star, top-notch pharmacy, I might add) and had the prescriptions filled in 20 minutes. When I dropped them off, my first question was "do you have anything in your system reflecting that this doctor's license is not current?" The pharmacist hit a few keys on the computer and then said "no". (As an aside, a physician's licensing information is available and easily accessible online, as it is a public record, and a quick check would have revealed the inaccuracy of CVS's information had the pharmacists been willing to listen to reason.) After getting the prescriptions from Giant, I went back to CVS to prove the inaccuracy of its records by showing the pharmacist the bottles of the prescriptions just filled at the Collington Plaza Giant. I also pointed out that CVS had, just the day before, filled a different prescription from the very SAME doctor it was now claiming had an invalid license. The pharmacist could give no rationale explanation, but rather, only responded that sometimes "we get these red flags and it isn't quite clear why it happened since the doctor's license was valid." She also acknowledged that, if in fact their system was flagging this doctor as having an invalid license, then the prescription CVS had filled for this doctor, just the DAY BEFORE, would, under their logic, have been an improperly filled prescription. The pharmacist was pleasant and seemed apologetic, but could not explain CVS's flawed flagging system or that the data relied upon for flagging prescriptions is incorrect. read more

I had a very good experience at the pharmacy today. The team there was very busy. However they were very friendly and went of their way to keep me informed on the status of my prescription. The pharmacist, Raymond, was particularly helpful. Thank you Raymond and CVS Bowie! read more

This is literally the WORST pharmacy! do not go here if you can help it. The pharmacist is hardly ever there and the other staff are completely incompetent. I have been told several times my RX is ready and gone to pick it up only to be told it isn't ready. They failed to update my insurance even when I asked the lady while I was standing there to put it in. Poor customer service and rude when you call in. Just don't! read more

They get 2 stars because the staff is friendly, not super helpful, but not rude when asked for help. The pharmacy is pretty standard and ok, but the store has serious selection and restocking issues. When they moved into the new store I had high hopes they would expand their selection and keep things in stock. Alas 5 months later they still haven't figured out how to reorder enough to keep the shelves generally at capacity. Also once something runs out it takes 1-3 weeks to restock. If corporate/a manager is reading this please look into overhauling the inventory and restocking system. It's a nice building that could be an excellent store. read more

Drive-Thru told me 15 mins.... waited in the parking lot... drive back around... they told me they had to "mix" the prescription "please come inside"... went inside they told me 15 more mins... waited... and waited.... an hour went by... during this time, several other prescriptions weren't ready when ppl approached the counter.... still waiting.... it's been almost 2 hours..... they appear fully staffed... 6 workers behind the counter.... bad communication between them.... very very disappointed... read more
