Sheesh The shelves looked pretty empty, everything was unorganized and the vibes were entirely off as they gave war zone vibes! This is not Bloomington Mn , it identified more as Vietnams war zone! The parking lot was all chopped up coming into this location. I was praying that it didn't ruin the rental vehicle, yes that's how bad it was! I stopped in for a Birthday card and a quick pregift but I became so irritated in here, that I left with hand lotion and sanitizer wipes since this store gave me dry lips and made me want to sanitize everything walking out! Get it together district or whomever is in charge of this location! This is unacceptable for the Walgreens brand and I'm here to give honest opinions and reviews so... there you have it!!! The staff were nice as they laughed with me at my feedback and opinion but they did their best to back it up.... so they are loyal... keep them! Great job guys for having your companies back and for letting me know that, I no longer needed to hold on to my pearls and purse tightly! HA All staff deserve a raise and 7 months off with pay as well as, a paid vacation while you marketing and district manager team, clean up this store and make it great! Sheesh , CVS WOULD NEVERRRR!!!

At first, I was picking up medication for my cat every few weeks at my vet until I was told I could…read moreorder in larger bulk from Bloomington Drug. I decided to try ordering through them so that I did not have to drive to my vet every 2 to 3 weeks. I called them to make my first order, and it was very easy, and I received the bottle in the mail. Once I opened the packaging, I noticed my medication was in a very cheap, flimsy bottle that had some sort of Saran Wrap or plastic wrap around the top to prevent it from leaking, and as I unraveled it, there was this gooey white substance on it. The first day, trying to open the bottle, I twisted it, and while I twisted the flimsy bottle, a giant glob of goop shot out onto my table. That was the medication. I managed to get it back into the bottle and noticed that when you screw the lid on, it does not lock in place, it just keeps turning and leaks as you shake it. When I was getting the same medication from my vet, it came preloaded in syringes, and that was in a nice, leak-proof container. There was never a leak. I tried dispensing this mix into a few syringes, so if we were out, I did not have to bring around the bottle. Well, I quickly learned that their mixture makes the rubber in syringes get soft and stretchy and breaks it down. I was low on medication due to their cheap leaky bottle so I called in today for a refill. I told them the whole situation about how the bottle leaks and how its flimsy and I tried so see if I could get an order of the syringes like the ones that come with it with no rubber and because im in the process of a change of address I was trying to work out options and the got everything setup with first person. I called back to finally get everything and the second person was completely rude. I don't know how companies hire people like this to work in customer service. No wonder this place only has 3.8 stars. The issue is not the business, it's your front-facing people representing you. I hung up the phone and quickly called my vet and told them I will never do business with Bloomington Drug again. I would rather drive 30 minutes to 1 hour every 2 weeks than have my medication shipped to me and be helped by rude, disgraceful people. I have read many reviews stating rude staff, and well maybe it's not everyone there, but all it takes is one. Also, I'm not going to spend money on a product that comes in a medical container that, when you shake it, the thing leaks. That does not sound very sterile to me. If my container leaks I wonder what other medical products have quality control issues. I will be speaking more about this with my vet. For more information feel free to contact me. I made the story and review shortly so it would fit.

My veterinarian recently prescribed medication to help manage my small dog's cough. After reviewing…read moreX-rays, the vet advised me to start the medication, Tussagon, immediately because the imaging showed that my dog's trachea wall appeared thinner, which could indicate a risk of collapse. After several unsuccessful attempts to refill the prescription at my local CVS, I was instructed to contact Bloomington Drug and Gift. When I called, a pharmacist (whose name I unfortunately did not catch) collected preliminary information to create a profile and told me the medication would be ready the following morning at 9:00 a.m. When I called the next morning, the experience became confusing and frustrating. The staff member I spoke with seemed unsure who had previously taken my information and said there was no order in the system. I was then quickly transferred to another pharmacist. When I asked if they could locate my profile, it was eventually confirmed, though the interaction felt tense. When I asked if they could determine who had entered my information, I was told they could not and that they would need to locate the pharmacist I had originally spoken with. During this conversation, I was told that I was giving "attitude," when in reality I was simply trying to explain how the situation had unfolded before being transferred again. Another pharmacist then took the call and asked about my prescription. I explained the veterinary clinic and location that issued it, but before I could finish, I was told that if specific information was missing, they would not be able to fill the prescription. I asked what information they had so we could review it together before I made the trip to the pharmacy. I also explained that the veterinarian's full name and license number were listed on the prescription. I was told they would still need to physically see it. When I arrived at the pharmacy, my prescription was denied because my date of birth was not written on the prescription for my dog. I was extremely confused by this requirement. I even offered to present my Minnesota driver's license, but I was told that my date of birth had to be written directly on the prescription by the veterinarian. I was informed that the only solution would be to obtain a rewritten prescription. Unfortunately, when I later attempted to contact my local vet to resolve this, I discovered the clinic was closed that day due to being understaffed. Jeff, the final pharmacist who assisted me, did attempt to contact my veterinarian and the clinic, and I appreciate that effort. He also suggested that I visit the WellHaven clinic in Savage to see if they could rewrite the prescription. When I arrived and explained the situation, the staff at WellHaven were surprised that Bloomington Drug had been unable to fill the prescription. After making several calls, the veterinarian there helped identify another pharmacy where I could finally have the prescription filled. From my perspective, this situation seemed to come down to a rigid procedural judgment call that created significant barriers to obtaining medication that my vet said needed to start immediately. I later learned that the FDA does not require the pet owner's date of birth for a pet prescription. While I understand that pharmacies must follow regulations, it was confusing that there was no alternative way to verify my identity, such as using my Minnesota driver's license. Overall, the experience left me feeling exhausted, frustrated, and disappointed. When an animal's health is at risk, processes should help facilitate care rather than create unnecessary obstacles. This situation made me deeply concerned about how similar situations might affect both animals and people who rely on timely access to medication. Disappointed Customer

I otherwise try to avoid the place because it is a ZOO. It seems like every time I go, day, night, weekday, weekend, holiday, whatever, the line at the pharmacy is at least 10 people deep and despite the workers hustling, it moves slow. The drive thru is not much better usually with cars backed up. There are several Walgreens locations nearby. If you're in your car and have the option- I'd pick a different one over this one.

I have no idea who trains them, but they are HOSTILE. The reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is that the pharmacists themselves are the most affordable compounding pharmacists around. Bloomington Pharmacy is much nicer to people and they do compounding but they are pricier. If you can afford it, go there instead. This pharmacy frequently does NOT notify me that my prescription is NOT ready or why. They always blame me for their lack of communication so I try to build this into my refill process. They never have the right sized plunger / syringe combo for my liquid medicine. Two other plusses are they are 24/7 and they have a drive through. The customer service though, especially over the phone is absolutely horrendous so do not deal with them if you are vulnerable or sensitive - take reinforcements. I am not sure why their default setting is so unprofessional, but if you ever get a nice person, it's a pleasant surprise. #latestagecapitalism

One of them kept passing to go in the back room and would come right back out to chat. Eventually a 3rd person came out and joined them in chatting. I waited over 20 minutes for the one lady to process these photos and when called over to the 3 staff chatting for help over 3x and they ignored her until she got loud and said "MANAGER I NEED HELP, CAN ONE OF YOU HELP" and the guy came over and said what do you need help with? Like he couldn't see the man waiting at the counter, I was standing there the whole time and the girls that were on the kiosk eventually were waiting in line behind me, if he really is the manager that's horrible. Terrible customer service. I overheard the woman working the photo area say her shift was ending in a few minutes and she didn't have time to finish processing the passport order so he did take that over and proceeded to help with the rest of the line. You could definitely tell the 3 chatters did not like her, which is crazy to display that type of attitude in front of customers.
