Mike and his team worked to get the necessary medical information from my primary care physician who wrote the Rx for the walker. The process is kind of ridiculous (not on behalf of the pharmacy, but insurance... a prescription from my primary care doctor wasn't enough, UHC wanted medical "evidence"). In the end, UHC didn't cover this, but the pharmacy gave me back the Rx and medical records they'd obtained so I could go to another pharmacy that insurance would accept. Friendly, professional local place that I'd highly recommend!

The first time because the nurse apparently forgot to give me refills. the second time is because the pharmacy didn't tell me everything they were shipping to me so I didn't know until I opened the box tonight (a Friday Night!) that it wasn't shipped to me! I left in happy tears just by the experience. Usually I opt for an oral exam from the pharmacy. I'm by myself and being anxious alone for that kind of result sucks. A nurse stayed with me the whole time and talked to me about Prep and other options. He even had someone come in to talk about financials. There is still a huge stigma unfortunately and I've witnessed it firsthand, at other locations. Here I felt safe, welcome, and there was no judgement. Instead of, "What do you want me to do?" It was "How can we help?" With any result, they are there to answer all questions and if they don't know, they don't hesitate to ask colleagues. I was a first time patient so there was paperwork involved but nothing too extensive. Oh and did I mention NO PROOF OF INSURANCE IS NEEDED FOR THE FREE BLOOD TEST! There isn't a catch. Next time you're at MJs or Masque, look for them. They have screenings outside the bars! Take advantage of this ya'll. They'll literally save your mentality and maybe even your life.

Today I had a sales person I believe her name was Melinda W she was the first kind clerk I have had help me in there with kindness and a professional attitude. She was not pushy and tried hard to get me what I wanted. I was surprise since in the past the service was so negative and unkind. Hocks recently opened an expanded version of their medical supply store. This new store is also…read morethe site of their online warehouse. I have no business or need to go there, except for one reason; my sister can only find a particular sensitive skin cleanser that she insists on for her children through them and because she does not want to pay shipping charges. So being the kind person that I am, once a year, I go to Hocks to pick up a years supply of this cleanser for her. She makes all the arrangements, I just do as I am told. I had no idea that they had opened up a new store. The new one has every possible apparatus, etc that you can imagine using for at-home use while recovering from surgery, etc. The clerk working could not find my order. I was annoyed to death. Apparently, no instructions were left for the staff, and whoever handled my sister's order was not available and could not be reached. I was told that the store and the website were separate entities though they were housed in the same building. The clerk had no idea where to find my order. Driving 30 minutes out of our way did not make me happy nor did it please my already irritated husband. An hour later, after already passing the Indiana border, the clerk calls to tell me that she located my order and did I want to come back and pick it up? Sure, how about sending it to me and waiving the shipping fees? No way in hell would I double back. Lucky for my sister she agreed.
