So rude and unhelpful! I had to transfer a prescription here because the pharmacy I usually use could no longer afford to keep the medication in stock for its customers. There is currently a national shortage of the medication, so you would think this pharmacy would work with its customers to make sure that they could get it by answering questions such as what formulations they currently have in stock so that the customer could tell her provider what to write the prescription for. Nope. They told me I had to have my doctor call them and find out this information himself. The pharmacy tech was rude and distracted. She asked me three times for my birth date, and then would not give me information about my prescription. And it's not just this branch of CVS either. They are all equally terrible. read more

If there were ZERO stars, I would give that. I am a physician and they treat me like dirt when I call in a prescription, so I can only imagine how they treat other callers. IF you can get someone to answer the physician line, they immediately tell you to leave a message and transfer you...then they don't check messages, so patients get there and no RX to be had. Can I take a moment to talk about my cashier today, Justin. Im not sure what's going on with him but he needs to figure it out. I stopped in to get cash back at the register and this fool doesnt offer a hello, how you doin, nada. Just a Do you have a CVS card. I didnt have one and he sure didnt offer up a quick number to use like their ever so helpful competitors. Lame. I asked the people in line, and yes I was that person who held it up for a whole $1.25 because not today satan, or Justin. So the guy didnt have his card and the number didnt register. So...lets delay the line more, Justin and sign me up so the people in the back know just how kind and helpful you are. So I get my ever so useless CVS card and get my little cash back and my gosh dont let me both you, Justin. I need all 5's please. I mean forbid I ask for change from a cashier?! Bonus, the receipt tape ran out for the customers in front of me and you know they did ask for a receipt. CVS locations are everywhere here, but there are countless number of times that I am looking for one Employee have always been super helpful there and everything is organized and neatly shelved the way it should be. Parking is also quite plentiful here because it is a medium-sized plaza with restaurants and cafes. It's also located on a very busy corner place that is extremely easy to access. So, if you are in a bind and need some snacks, toiletries, medication, etc. locate a CVS store and they'll surely have what you are looking for! read more

My mom took my kids to get passport photos done on February 22 at the store on Perkins Road and Bluebonnet in Baton Rouge. The camera was broken, and instead of asking her to come back, the clerk had her take the pictures with her iPhone. When I went to get their passports, neither picture passed inspection. She tried to get a refund and was told that she can't because of "corporate policy". This is stupid, because we paid $35 for an insufficient product. CVS told my mom that they would keep retaking the pictures until they passed inspection, but I shouldn't have to go multiple times yo fix their mistake. CVS, make this right. I need a refund so I can go and get pictures that I know will pass. Alternatively, if you're going to make me come back multiple times, I need you yo pay for my gas, the wear and tear on my car, and the passport expedited fee. Terrible experience at this pharmacy. I dropped off a prescription at around 12pm on a weekday. The pharmacist said that it would be a 30-45 minute wait, so I said I'd come back later. I went back at 4:15, which I THOUGHT was plenty of time to be gone by sundown and avoid the sketchy people who are always in the parking lot. But nope! My prescription still isn't ready and they say it'll be a 30 minute wait yet again. After an hour and 15 minutes had passed, I went up to the counter to check in and see how long it would be. The pharmacist saw me get in line and handed me two of my three medications and said that the third was out of stock. I'm so confused as to why he waited for me to get so impatient that I went up to the counter to hand me the medicine that he had filled instead of calling me back up way earlier? It's not like they were still working on the other prescription! It was completely out of stock! I'm so shocked that the pharmacist let me wait there for over an hour instead of calling me up and handing me what had been filled and letting me know about the one that was out of stock. Both the customer who arrived right before me and the customer after me were both still waiting by the time I left. I tried to be patient because it looked like the pharmacy was severely understaffed, but that type of wait is still inexcusable. The CVS needs to stop being stingy and hire more (or more reliable!) employees so that this issue can be resolved. From other reviews, it looks like this location has been this way for a long time, and I will certainly not be returning to this CVS. read more

Great convenient location if you are staying near campus. Serves as a great resource for everyday needs someone may need. I was lucky to stop by on on day when they had a sale on soda - exactly what I needed. They even had diet root beer - not all stores carry it. I was able to pick up a couple fun items, as well - Soduku puzzle book to entertain myself and a magnet to remember my time in Baton Rouge. A stop by CVS was just what I needed. read more

The CVS on Highland road is convenien located near the Northgate of LSU Campus. This location is open 24 hrs, but the pharmacy closes early. The employees take forever to restock the shelves. I went by this CVS twice, with one week in between and every item marked down in the office supply section was sold out. I would go here if it was late and the closest place around. read more

Negative stars. This CVS is honestly the worst one in the city. No matter what time you go, plan on waiting at least 20 minutes in line while the pharmacist looks like they're tapping random keys on the computer in slow motion. They never even tell you how long the wait will be or why they're literally just standing in front of the computer, with 5 people in line, another pharmacist sitting in the back, and two calls on hold. There is legit no good hour to go, there is constantly a line and a 20 minute wait to get even one prescription. You might wanna call ahead to make sure you won't be waiting over an hour to pick up one antibiotic, right? Well, be prepared to wait no less than 30 minutes on the phone, because it seems like this CVS is purposely running for worst customer service in Baton Rouge. I'm pretty sure they just wait until you eventually get frustrated and hang up just so they don't have to actually do anything. When they do answer they sound like they're slowly rotting away in the back of the store. Bad attitudes and service all around. I live quite literally one minute away on campus, so it's extremely convenient, but I will be having my prescriptions switched over to the Walgreens ten minutes away, because even that is less of a waste of time than trying to run an errand at CVS. read more
