Awful place. Dirty, empty shelves etc. But worst of all they constantly get our prescriptions wrong. Wrong pill count, not enough liquid to finish course, printing 7 ml twice a day instead of 5 twice a day on bottle. When we called in, they told us their pill counting machine makes mistakes all the time and since it wasn't pain medicine we could just come in and they would give us more pills" . Also, they won't tell clueless customers that their prescription isn't ready and to go around, so you get trapped in line for 20 minutes because of that damn concrete curb. I went in to complain after 24 minutes and the people behind me finally backed out of line. The batch was still at the drive up window when I got mine filled inside. They said there is nothing they can do. Oh yeah the LAST prescription I got filled there, they didn't have in stock after I came to pick it up, they called the Landsdown location and faxed it their. Except when I got there they had the wrong info for us on the fax so we had to wait again. Hate that place!,!,!,! We hadn't changed because of the drive thru and insurance hassle. I wish I could give 0 stars. My doctor called in my prescription. A few hours later I went to the drive through to pick it up and they said they had no prescription for my name. I told them I saw the doc call it in a few hours earlier and they "went and checked the machine but no messages". So, I called my doc back telling him they never got it. When he called back they said they already had the info, just hadn't checked the messages yet when I came by the first time! So, they flat out lied to me when I had been there. So, an hour or so later I go BACK to pick up the prescription and the line is a mile long. I waited over 20 min in line. When I got to the counter, I was told I needed to update my info (new insurance) and I had to get in the drop off line! I got in the other line behind 1 other person. After updating my info, I was told I had to go BACK to the pick up line to get the medication! A line I already waited in for over 20 min! After sharing my frustration they didn't seem to care and said if I wanted the prescription I had to go back to that line. So, I got back in line and waited another 20 min. Worst customer service ever! At no point did anyone apologize to me for not seeing the order earlier or for the long wait. And, it was the same person who gave me my prescription as I had seen earlier who told me there wasn't an order when there was! I will drive a little further next time to the walgreens. Hate to give something one star but this CVS almost deserves it! They never have enough people working. There is always a line. They are continually out of items for weeks at a time. There are always employees gathering and smoking in front of the business. The front cashier crew is friendly and the above comments are clearly management issues but the pharmacy is another story. Continually "they haven't received the prescription from my doctor" which my doctor has sent multiple times. The biggest issue I have is the pharmacy customer service. Terrible terrible service by the pharmacy. Last time I came here they gave me ANOTHER PERSON'S PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION without asking for ID, birthdate or name. Today: Called at 1pm and the phone number was down Called at 2:50 to have the prescription filled and was told it would be 20 minutes. Only got the prescription at 3:45pm after voicing a complaint. Didn't get the notification text from the pharmacy until 5 min after it was filled and I was already in my car. I would recommend NEVER going to this CVS pharmacy. read more

Dropped off prescription knowing it would take time. Told them that I could pick it up in the am - provided it would be ready to go. Tight schedule in the am's and need to grab and go. That said, showed up and the afternoon crew didn't create the ticket. Had to wait 20 mins to get meds. No Bueno. Was late to work. I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. I still think this is the absolute worst CVS pharmacy. It's like the state of Virginia took the most incompetent pharmacists across the state and placed them all here. Never a good experience. My prescriptions are never ready, the wait time in the drive thru, inside the pharmacy and on the phone is simply AWFUL even if I am the ONLY one in line. After waiting on the phone for at least 15 minutes a pharmacist came on, asked me some questions then simply didn't want to look for my prescription and placed me on hold again saying "there are more callers in front of you." If that were the truth, why would a pharmacist have answered in the first place?! So basically I HATE this place even more. I have been there 6 times today and called five times, each time on hold for more than 20 minutes..... Just for them to fill the WRONG prescription. I would give this location zero stars if I could. Dropped a prescription off at 5:10pm. Came back over two hours later after being quoted an hour and twenty minutes for them to fill, still not filled. I was then told it would be an additional fifteen minutes. Usually when I go there nothing is restock so I can't buy what I need. Today I was trying to print out my pictures the kiosk wasn't working. I asked the 3 workers behind the desk and they just look at each other saying they don't know how to work the kiosk. The woman came up to asking questions and said she didn't know and left. I called over an hour in advance to make sure a specific medication was in stock. I was on a strict schedule and driving well out of my way for something hard to find. A member of the pharmacy staff confirmed it was in stock and when I got there, they said they did not have it. Waste of time. Horrible customer service. While I have not experienced the horrible service that others have had, I think they have been competent and I have always gotten my prescriptions in a timely basis right after my doctor submits them electronically. I haven't gone in many times so I can't vouch for their service in there. read more

Very quick to fix their mistakes! I dropped off my prescription at the drive thru and was told to get it after 7pm. When I went to get it I was told it wasn't ready. The problem was they didn't have my doctors phone number. Once they got that, they filled the prescription right in front of me and I was out the door! read more

My doctor called in an antibiotic for my strep throat at 2:00 PM, I went to pick it up at 4, and was told to come back in 30 minutes. I returned and waited in a 15 minute long line and was told to come back in 20 minutes. I sat in the pick-up line for 35 minutes to then receive the wrong medication. This is the second time this has happened here... When I told the man at the window he told me I had to come inside to get it straightened out. I talked to another person inside that told me that he has no idea why it was wrong.. Horribly run CVS. Have used this CVS for 12 years. Was perfectly fine for about 8-9 years then it changed and just keeps getting worse. It is like they either lost a good staff or probably fired them and now have a rotating mix of people who come and go with very few who actually check out customers. So we are faced with long lines at the drive thru and inside. And many times prescriptions are not ready when you wait through the lines. I am done with CVS pharmacy. Check this out I got a one month supply of victoza for $40. My doctor doubled the dose and gave me a 3 month prescription and had the girls phone it in to CVS in Haymarket . When I went to pick it up they said it would be $600. Had the doctors office send to mail order and it cost $80. Gee what will I be doing in the future. read more

I agree with one of the reviewer that I would have given them 0 if there was an option. These guys are not at all professional specially a tech named Tequila, she is rude and when asked about the mistake the pharmacy did, she put me on hold. They never tell if the prescription is covered through insurance and instead of filling for 90 days filled for a month. Agree, I should have looked but I trusted these guys and after coming home when i called they said you can transfer the rest to other pharmacy. Unfortunately my employer has Rx program with CVS but I am not going back there again and will certainly be filing a complaint with my insurance about their service. I came to pick up a prescription that my MD had called in and they claimed they didn't receive....TWICE. This pharmacy is in walking distance from my house which is the only reason I have been using it. It's by the far the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. They are so overwhelmed and understaffed (or poorly managed.) They are not helpful or available to answer questions. While your waiting you start to lose confidence in their ability to fill a script - very scary. read more

No matter what time of the day or evening the wait is really long for the pharmacy. Always short staffed and a few mix ups with transferring prescriptions and getting them correct. I have transferred all my prescriptions to Costco. Have given them several chances and no improvement. Long time CVS customer but taking my business elsewhere. read more

I would usually not leave a review about this. However, this store has had me ads customer for the absolute LAST time. They are infuriating! My Dr. Called in my prescription on Thursday. I have the text service to notify me when my order is ready. By Monday, I was wondering why I still hadn't heard back. I called on Tuesday, and their exact words regarding the prescription my Dr. Called in for me were, "oh, so you want us to fill that for you?"....(no, genius! I asked my Dr to call it in to waste ALL of our time!?!?). So then, I tried giving the woman on the phone (barely spoke English) my new insurance info, to which she says I need to drive over and give my cardio them, instead of LISTENING to me, and taking the info off my card! I'm not an idiot, I can READ! I am perfectly capable of telling them the info on the card. However, she was adamant I needed to bring it in, so I did. I was told 20 minutes, and it would be ready. I had scopula of errands to run, so I went ahead with those. 2+ hours later, I wait in the drive through lane for 10+ minutes, as it was POURING rain. Only to be told they are still not done with it, to get back in line and they should have it done. So I wheel put, get in the back of the line and wait another 10+ minutes. As I get my medication, I decide to check it, and SURE ENOUGH, they filled my thyroid medication incorrectly! So she has to refund it, and sausage will call the Dr. To get it straight. Well, I decided I couldn't trust these clowns to do it, so I called my Dr. Did CVS ever call!?! Based on the conversation I had with the office, that would be a NO! So today, after my Dr's office calls today the prescription was called in correctly, I head over to CVS about 4-5 hours later. I decide I better double check it first, and these geniuses filled the WRONG PRESCRIPTION AGAIN!!!!!! I'm told (AGAIN) I will have to wait 15-20 minutes. Due to some health issues, I am supposed to avoid contact with vaccines or people who have been vaccinated recently. But, because the line outside is crawling like a snail, I have to drag my kids out at night to go inside where tons of people are getting vaccinated and am waiting (YET AGAIN!!!) for them to actually get it right! (Being exposed to alllllll of those flu shots, and sick people picking up their meds). Finally, they call me up. I express how frustrated I was at the whole mess, to which he argues with me saying they only received the prescription today, so I was incorrect. UGH. You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! I said to him, "actually, my Dr called it in LAST Thursday, six days ago!! But she had to call it in AGAIN today, because you guys STILL couldn't fill it right, despite me explaining everything."...I got shall hearted, "sorry". Absolutely furious at how it takes me coming in four times, and on the fifth try, they finally get my meds right. So, if they are truly THIS incompetent, they are DANGEROUS to be "filling medication". So, after being a loyal CVS customer for 6+ years, all of our family's prescriptions will be being transferred to Wallgreens. Everytime I've had to go in there for allergy medicine, or whatever it may be, they have had their act together. It's further from my house, which is a total pain, but CVS has blown it. And when I get AWFUL service, I'm going to be letting EVERYONE know. It is unexceptionable for them to be that incompetent and working in a PHARMACY! I should not have to drive over to show you my insurance card, when I can read the info on it JUST FINE! Unfortunately, I've filled enough over the years to KNOW how to read an insurance card! They should have ALSO been first to call my doc to clear up the misunderstanding, like they SAID they would. Nope, incompetent doesn't even describe how useless these people were. DONE with them! Rude, condescending pharmacy staff. Always a fiasco when I pick up. Last 4 prescriptions took 24+ hours to fill once they finally found them. Stood in line 35 minutes the first time to find that the order wasn't ready after almost 30 hours since it was called in. The next 3 were the same - they swore the orders weren't sent by my doctor. I called an alternate location and they confirmed the orders were sent. Even after I went back to the original location they still said they weren't there even though I now had refill numbers. Pharmacist was so rude and condescending and smirked at me the whole time while contradicting everything I was saying regardless of the fact that I had the proof in my hand. Needless to say they finally found the completed orders that they swore were not there. Absolutely will not return especially after hearing "Whatever you say ma'am." They were unsure of themselves regarding my medicines, they put incorrect instructions on the bottles, and forget injection needles which I ended up asking for three times. I don't trust them and won't use them again. If I weren't aware of what my dosages are this could've messed me up pretty good. read more

Terrible place! I went to get my prescription and they had it ready. Ok, then they said my insurance wasn't in the system ok so i give them my insurance. I waited 40 minutes! I got tired and asked for my card back and the lady said would you rather pay or wait. She said it to me rudely. Her name was Kaitlin. Before all this happened, i came before to leave THE prescription and she never asked me for my insurance. I asked her why didn't she asked for my insurance. She said, " BECAUSE YOU DIDNT TELL ME" so apparently im supposed to tell her what she is supposed to do at her JOB!! Nobody knows what to do at that pharmacy. I wouldn't even call it a pharmacy. Wow-- the bad reviews were spot on! Tried to transfer a script there because the location was more convenient, but after dealing with incompetence for three days I transferred back to the pharmacy I was using. The Pharm tech woman with the chest tattoos was very rude and lacked any customer service. Caitlin was very nice, but that doesn't make up for the other girl's lack of personality. last chance. I was in last fall, had to fill out my insurance coverage again. it somehow was no longer in their system. I went back this winter with my husband, as we both had stuff to pick up, his was covered, and they said mine was not covered. I assumed it was a non-formula thing. turned out they just lost my insurance information in their system again. but they never thought to check, even tho my husband had coverage, they just let me pay cash for an medication that should have been free on my ins. so I went in this past week, stood in the long line. finally they bring up my prescription, $400! they said the ins doesn't cover it. I said it does. so he asks if I have my ins card on me, they lost me in the system again! so they ask me to take a seat while they get the information back in. by this time the line is 8 people deep, but they told me to wait on the side.... when they called me up they said "your prescription is ready, get back in line! " . I said I was not waiting in line again when you told me to take a seat and wait on the side. they all walked away and ignored me, yeah, I had to go back and stand in line again. they just refused to answer my questions or make eye contact! who does that? why did they tell me to wait on the side. this place sucks and the people who work there suck even more. if you hate your job that much you feel the need to harass customers - just quit! and the manager there should be ashamed. I am switching to another pharmacy, I dont care how close this one is. they suck. read more
