She has many of the original tools they used when the place opened and has kept a large number of the interesting concoctions of yester-year! The display case is seriously a trip back in time in medical history! The pharmacy by itself is reason enough to visit, but what puts this place over the top is the old school soda fountain that is contained within! They mix up all the favorites your grandparents used to talk about and will make you a rootbeer float that you've only heard of in the movin pictures! Truly a spot not to miss and one of only a few places we've been that truly continues to preserve a heritage that is vanishing quickly. A must see place for anyone passing through or looking for something a little out of the ordinary.

I had a reg size and it was a lot! Mae wondered around the shop while our malts were being mixed up. The prices are very reasonable. There is a good card selection. And there are neat old pharmacy artifacts. This place is not open on Sundays and close by noon on Saturday.

I wasn't happy when my insurance (Cigna) basically forced me to leave Walgreen's to have my Rxs…read morefilled at a Hy-Vee or Walmart location... Windsor Heights is the closest Hy-Vee location to my apartment. I'm not a masochist so Walmart wasn't even on the table... After acceptance set in I moved all my Rxs to the Hy-Vee pharmacy in Windsor Heights and got my insurance on file etc. It wasn't too bad. We still go around now and then when the online system mysteriously drops one of my regular prescriptions because it has "expired" even though they are Rxs I've had for years and will probably be taking for the reset of my life... Or their system won't take my co-pay card for Eliquis that is valid, has been on file, and I've been using if for months... Despite these bumps I've gotten used to them. I do love the staff! And kind of enjoy the novelty of the retro drive through setup. I can't tell you the last time I've had to use a wall phone handset... Lol It is what it is. If you're like me and have no other options... This Hy-Vee location isn't too bad for your pharmaceutical needs.

Her battery was 3 years old and needed a new one . That's where Sam's Club came to the rescue. I got it started and took a chance that Sam's automotive would help . Wow did they . The man at the counter said I think we can get you in . And he did the entire staff was great . Within a half hour we had a new battery and we're on our way . On a Saturday wow .
