Holy cow. I honestly have no words for the experience I just had. I came in with my mother around 11:00pm. No employees were nearby and I was only able to see the few customers in the store. That was red flag #1...We do our shopping and get what we need and I make my way to the self checkout. Keep in mind the whole time we were shopping we still did not see ONE employee. I get to self checkout and I start ringing everything up. I purchased a bow and along with my other items and after I scanned the bow it seems as if the scale did not register it was placed so it froze my screen and said "help is on the way" I stood there for almost 10 minutes waiting patiently. It got to a point where a customer even tried helping me resolve my issue because her self checkout did the same but she somehow fixed hers. **STILL no employee to be seen.** So now I'm holding wrapping paper and I start walking around the store waving it around going -- "HELLO!?! Does anyone work here I've been real checkout for 10 min and the things constantly repeating help is on the way but nobody is here" and after around 2 min of my calling out for help.. NOBODY SHOWED UP. So I walk BACK to self check out and wait and then this woman slowly walks up to me, SAYS NOTHING, scans her little card and then WALKS away. I cannot imagine how many people steal from this place at night because I easily could have walked right out with my bags. She did not care at all and she was very rude and dismissive. The customer service here is disgusting. Whoever is working today 11/12/2021 clearly does not do their job properly and needs to be retrained on how to handle customers ALSO why is there only ONE person on shift ? read more

My doctor specifically writes on my prescription to not give me a non generic medication. 75% of the time this store, without me asking, contacts my doctor to request a generic. This means I get a text about it...which means I now I have to call. You have such little staff there that after being on the phone for an hour just waiting for someone to answer I have to hang up and go back to work. I call again when I have time and thankfully after 36 minutes someone answers just to give me attitude. At this point my prescription is filled and if I wanted a different brand I would have to contact my doctor to resend a new prescription. This is an awful experience to have, especially when it's not the first time. I can deal with the insane lines this store has(I work retail, so I understand) but this should never happened to a customer regarding medication. This store should either have more employees or be shut down As a CVS pharmacy customer for the last 15 years, this store alone has made me switch to a new pharmacy. read more

The worst location of them all! The pharmacy is HORRIBLE. A handicapped turtle can move faster than most of the staff working behind the pharmacists' counter. They also don't understand discretion at all. They'll ask you personal questions about yourself and your order in front of everyone. If another customer is hovering, they won't lower their voice or ask the person to step aside. They will ask you personal information about your order from across the room. They will not keep their opinions to themselves. I have a rare autoimmune disorder that requires me to take a needle every day. One day I went there to pick up my 30 day prescription and they only had one needle ready for me. When I explained that I need 30 needles, the pharmacist walked away sharing comments with the staff on "wow who would need that." I am absolutely DISGUSTED by this place. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - Amityville, New York

Though CVS is my pharmacy/discount of choice (vs. Duane Reade, Rite-Aid, Walgreens, etc.) this location is not the best. Their selection is not great and it is hard to find someone to help you - you do not want to have to walk all the way to the register from aisle 8 to ask where something is, only to find out it was in the next aisle to begin with. read more

I called to refill a prescription and was advised that they were currently working on the order. I was told it would be ready in an hour, I waited another two hours before going to pick up the meds. I was advised in a very rude manor that it was not filled yet and I could wait for them to fill it. When I stated that I had called, I was told by Craig the pharmacy assistant that he did not know who I spoke to and it was not filled. It seems to me that this CVS does not value their customers and want us to use Good RX to find a better priced pharmacy with better customer service. read more

Just went by and once again what I need is not in stock there are always long lines and not enough employees and the pharmacy dept is horrible they always charge me I like the cvs on Merrick road better cleaner bigger nicer and always instock. read more

The female store manager at this store is the BEST. Locked my keys in the car after I purchased something from her store. She was more than accommodating. She allowed me to make several calls, several on her personal phone, so I could have someone bring me a spare key. Thank you sooooo much. read more

This has got to be the slowest cvs on the face of the earth. I've been to a lot of stores of this type and this is by far the worst. Avoid at all costs! There's a 24hour cvs 5 minutes away. It's worth the drive, you'll save 20 min. read more

This is an old-school CVS which has yet to be remodeled like other CVS's in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful. As someone else stated, the pharmacy staff really needs to learn the definition of discretion. Also, their medication prices are very high without insurance. The same exact generic medication that they wanted $150+ for I was able to get at the Costco pharmacy (no membership required) for under $15.... Same manufacturer and all. No difference in the medication except the price. read more

This is by far the most disgusting CVS I have EVER been in! Its convienant because its right by my house. But I will now drive out of my way to never have to go there! Twice I bought expired items from there on accident. The shelves are a mess, the carpets are disgusting. I dont even know why they're open. read more
