We got there at 11:45am. Upon entering, a pleasant young lady greeted us and, as they were not at all busy, told us we were welcome to choose any table we liked. So we sat right at the window along the river with a very nice view. Quickly thereafter a bubbley, smiling face arrived by the name of Sara. She brought us our water and took our drink orders and away she bounced... marvelous. Shortly after, she returned with our drinks. She very effectively answered our questions and we placed our orders. We were both not too hungry so we stayed with the starters menu. We shared an order of the "Heavenly Biscuits" and I added the "Marinated Olives". Then we both had a bowl of the "Lobster Bisque". Everything showed up in a timely fashion and in proper order. All of it was excellent. I must say, the bisque was exceptionally meaty. A pleasant surprise. As we were finishing up I mentioned I was looking forward to coffee. When Sara arrived I told her we would both like a cup as soon as we were done. With a big smile she said I heard you talking about it and already started a fresh pot for you. I was amazed... such a simple thing, but an example of extraordinary service. My compliments to Sara and the Lakehouse for employing her. After finishing our coffee we took a long stroll on the boardwalk all along the East Bank. It was a very nice afternoon. I recommend the Lakehouse and I highly recommend Sara... ask for her.

The fish was tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly, with a light, crispy coating that complemented it beautifully. Overall, a fantastic meal with excellent service and food that exceeded expectations. We will definitely be back!

I waited another 20 min for my food. I got a funnel cake, deep fried Oreos, and egg avocado and cheese "sammie" with chipotle mayo. I ordered a Diet Coke because I was so thirsty waiting over an hour for my food which they comped which was nice. They also gave me another free drink when I left so I do appreciate them making it right by offering the free drinks for my wait. They were very apologetic and so when I left I really wasn't mad! It sounds like they are super busy which means good food and hopefully as they progress the service becomes spot on to match the great food. The egg cheese avocado Sammie was fire. Great toast, cheesy eggs, onions, lots of flavor. It didn't have any chipotle mayo like the menu said but wasn't bad because of that. The deep fried Oreos were perfectly crunchy. Hot and crispy outside. Ideal.

Getting the attention of the staff was truly a feat to boot. We finally got the food order in and ended up moving to a table because the first bartender kept staring at us with her hands on her hips. We got the food, expecting something like Bottlehouse/Masthead/HiHo for our meal, and it was Sysco food. The chicken sandwich was a Sysco chicken tender on a bun. For over $35.00 in food alone, we expected more. We both work in the service industry and understand that things happen, but being treated like an inconvenience for our entire experience is something I was not expecting from a brewery with such high ratings.
