It's expensive. We can see that. If you're looking for a cheap deal, this isn't it. If, however, you're looking for a quality product with no stress, this is it. They arrived when they said they would, stacked the wood where I asked, and left. My wife, who was home at the time, didn't even know they were there. The wood is excellent quality. I don't have time or inclination to deal with other vendors, so I will be back.

As long as the continue the great customer service, they've earned a customer for life. I purchased the Big Green Egg and was in dire need of some wood to add additional flavor to my cooks. Did a quick search on Yelp and gave them a call. Very helpful over the phone and guided me in the right direction. I ordered same day in the morning and they were able to deliver shortly after lunch. I'm happy with the product and price and will make my future purchases from Cutting Edge Firewood. The handwritten card a few weeks later made all the difference. Check them out and tell a friend.

This wood looks like it was diseased before it was treated. Thought I would get nicer, display worthy cuts for the price

Just ordered some of your wood. I'm glad to hear that you sufficiently dry it out with your extended 48 hour process. I will not burn mine until it gets colder so I cannot report on how well it burns. I can only comment on my initial impressive on the new buy. I was hoping that for 10 times the cost that the "hand selected" wood would be prettier with nicer cuts. I was disappointed to see that none of the pieces were display worthy to put by my mantle. When selling something that freely grows in nature, I thought I was buying something that had a much better presentation than this. On the plus side I had a great experience with my delivery as I was able to get a same day delivery. Also the website ordering process was good. You did a nice job on the website but your wood did not look like the website nor was it "display worthy." Now I need to find a place to hide this ugly wood until it is cold enough for me to burn it. It came in a pretty box though. I do not like that I did not see an option to opt out of the kindling. I do not want kindling....just firewood. Note that only one (1) of the pieces of firewood were large enough to accommodate your log branding burned on the side. All of the rest did not have the brand nor could they have accommodated the branding because they were too small.

Super fast responses via email/text and great looking firewood rack delivered with the wood that they also fully unwrapped (plastic) upon set up. Wood was dry and ready to go. Even the dogs are a fan! Will be ordering again.

Excellent source of firewood in atlanta! The wood is pre dried so ready to burn same day. Their delivery teams do an amazing job. The wood is stacked very neatly (see pic) and area cleaned up.

Great kiln dried wood that burns longer and without as much smoke as non-kiln dried wood. Pricey for sure which is a drawback.

To get good results, you have to pay attention to the details. Just like a quality thermometer to pull that brisket at the right time, you need quality clean burning dry wood. I have a box of Smoak Firewood cherry, white oak, hickory and pecan at the ready at all times, if I get an urge to grill out or smoke on my PK360 or Cookshack. Every box appears to be hand picked, and clean and fresh but most importantly it's kiln dried. Having several boxes at the ready allows me to pick and match the wood to the thing I'm cooking. The owner Amy and staff are incredible folks that can answer any questions you have and even provide appropriately sized pieces. I'd much rather give my money to a local small business like this. If I'm remembering right, I believe they also supply several restaurants with cooking wood. This wood is even packaged so nice, it would be a great gift for a foodie! I've…read morebeen buying firewood for over 40 years and in the last 5 years it has become more difficult to find a seller who knows how to measure wood. You'll find plenty of companies that sell "cords, truckloads, ricks, stacks, etc." I always buy a "true" cord. A "truckload"-think a Ford F-150, will barely hold a 1/3 cord. If you want a "cord"of wood, then you better make sure that you understand the difference between a "face cord" and a "true cord. A "true" cord of wood is a standard measurement used to quantify firewood. It is defined as a stack of wood that measures 4 feet high, 4 feet wide, and 8 feet long, totaling 128 cubic feet of wood. A "face" cord, on the other hand, refers to a stack of wood that is typically 4 feet high and 8 feet long, but the depth can vary. The most common depth for a face cord is 16 inches, which is a common length for cut logs. This means a face cord contains about one-third of a full cord, or approximately 42.7 cubic feet of wood. In summary: - Cord: 128 cubic feet (4' x 4' x 8'). - Face Cord: Typically 42.7 cubic feet (4' x 8' x 16"). Make sure to clarify which measurement is being used when purchasing firewood. It takes 3 "face" cords to equal 1 "true"cord! I texted Matt at North Atlanta Firewood to confirm the measurement of a "true" cord of wood. Their website clearly shows the measurements of all the wood that they sell, but I just wanted to be certain as my previous purchases from other providers over the last few years didn't "measure up" to what was promised, both in size and quality of the firewood. Matt arranged for a delivery of Oak firewood a couple days later and texted me the evening before with a 2 hour time window for delivery. The next day, I received another text from the delivery guys telling me that they were 15 minutes away-right on time! The 2 young guys that delivered were extremely pleasant. The stacking site was not that easy to get to, but they worked very hard getting the wood to that site, with a smile on their faces the entire time. When finished, we measured the wood pile and it was, as hoped for, a "true"cord-128 cubic feet. I gave them both a nice tip-(they worked, very, very hard). The quality of the wood and the delivery service was exactly what I had hoped for. I have already referred my neighbor to Northside Firewood and will absolutely use them again. Do yourself a favor, buy from Northside as they know how to measure firewood, in any amount that you want. You will get great firewood at a terrific price, from nice people.

I called Hickey's Tree Service on the recommendation of a friend, and in less than an hour, Gene Hickey was here. He checked out the job and gave us a quote which we accepted. Today, he and one of his crew came to remove the tree from the neighbors yard. They did it within 30 minutes. And it was a very large pine tree. Then there was another small tree that had fallen on the fence as well, and they removed it without me even knowing it. Then, when I went out to give him his check, he said that he and his guy were concerned about a dead cherry tree close to my fence which would threaten my daughter's car if it fell down. We had discussed that the day before, but we weren't ready to afford to have that tree taken down as well. Gene said that the job went so well, that he would take that tree down for free. Who in the world does anything for free these days? Talk about Honorable! Talk about someone I would totally trust! Hickey's Tree Service has my business for as long as I have trees, and I have probably 25 or more on my own property, plus all my neighbors are very timber-wealthy as well. I will be recommending him to all of my neighbors and friends, but I wanted to recommend him to the general public also. Gene Hickey is a good guy, One you can trust with your business!

I used Georgia Landscape for about 15 years for firewood but they stopped offering that service…read morelast year, so had to find another provider. The wood that I got from the provider last year was just fine but It wasn't a true cord. The big deal to me is when ordering a cord-what are you going to get? You'll find plenty of companies that deliver "by the truckload" and by "half cord/cord", etc. However if they tell you that they are selling a "cord" of wood, it is critical to know how they measure that cord. A true cord is 4'x4'x8' or 128 cubic feet. A typical full size pickup truck with 8' bed will hold at most about 1/2 cord. A "face" cord is 8'x4' with a typical length of wood about 16". So with a face cord you are only getting about 1/3 of a true cord. Be very careful and ask exactly what their definition is of a cord and only pay for what you want and expect to get. Now to Champion Yard Services. I found them on my Nextdoor App where they advertised the sale of wood. They showed pictures of the wood (like many companies do) and quoted prices for different sizes-1/2 cord, full cord and what it would cost to either deliver and stack, deliver and carry to a place not directly where they bring the truck to, or self pickup. They indicated that the cord size was a true cord or 4'x4'x8'= 128 cubic feet All costs were clearly disclosed-they hid nothing. I emailed them 2 times to make sure that the cord was a true cord in measurement and they assured me it was, so I ordered 2 cords and asked them to look at Google maps so they could see that my driveway was on a hill and my stacking point was up 12 steps and about 45 feet from the parking area. In other words, not the easiest delivery and I held my breath hoping that I'd get what I was paying for. They delivered as scheduled, one day after the order was made. The 2 cords of wood were in "cages" exactly as shown on the website and the wood was exactly like the pictures-no "file" photos-no tricks. In addition they sent 4 guys to haul the wood to my backyard. It wasn't an easy job (I've done it many times myself) and the guys worked very hard for about 2 hours without any complaints-very nice guys-all pleasant and very polite. The next day Jimmy the owner called to make sure that I was happy with the wood and the delivery. I can say without question I got exactly what I hoped to get-2 cords; the wood is clean, appears to be aged at least a year, no "scrapes" or tiny pieces of wood, no filler wood (pine) and exactly the length that was expected (about 16"-18"). I paid what I think was a fair price for the wood and the labor. I recommend them without any hesitation and will use them again. I hope that your experience will be as good as mine--

We had used this tree service 3 years prior and it was a great experience. We felt confident we had made a good choice. The quote for the cherry removal and pruning of trees around the perimeter of the house was $2600, then it was lowered to $2200. We also had 2 huge pine trees that we were contemplating removing and the quote for 2 pines, cherry tree and pruning was $3500. We've had trees removed several times and the price seemed reasonable. But I wanted an additional estimate. I held off on committing to the work. On Sunday I received a text and Armando stating he would do all the work for $3000, awesome price- we agreed to the work. It rained Monday so we scheduled Tuesday am. The crew showed up an hour early. Not a big deal. They were at our home for approximately 7 hours. My husband and I would go out periodically to check the work and see how it was going. It was going well. Several times there was loud booms of falling limbs, branches, trees and that was expected because it can be loud. We paid the son an additional $400 to grind the stumps and that went well, I asked for the mulch to be left behind and I was pleased because I could mulch around the garden, shrubs and other trees. The son was very nice, professional and helpful. As it started to storm and thunder there was a rush to be done with the work, my husband and I did a walkthrough around the perimeter of our house and there was a big branch that was not removed that was part of the quote. Equipment needed to be used that was already put away and I am getting text messages at this point that the work was done and to remit payment. As it started to rain heavily the workers waited in their trucks to complete the work. The rain slowed and a worker climbed a tree and branch was removed. Payment had been made. They finished and left. As it was raining I walked around noticed the sloppiness, and mess all around. I understand- it was raining, it was a long day, it was hot and muggy. But then take pride in your work if you are expecting a posted review. Or just take pride because it's your job. And are seeking referrals too. The work was very careless, dirty, messy and unprofessional after I assessed the overall work. I cleaned my street in the rain, limbs, branches, pine all over. Filled the green bin. The shed wall was bent, it could be broken, the retaining wall corner concrete was shifted and I don't know how that could happen, it is extremely heavy, and how can we place the block back?!?! there are holes that are deep in the lawn, and mud, dirt, limbs, branches EVERYWHERE in the backyard, patio and walkway. Broken pavers, and pots. I'll be spending hours cleaning the mess. Maybe this is exactly what $3000 got us, where I thought it was a good price and Armando thought this mess left behind is what we deserved. I really think this is accurate. I also thought who is in charge when the business owner comes and goes for 7 hrs?!?! Who is making sure the work is getting done, where is the accountability?!?! and no one made sure the customer was satisfied. Armando's last text message was to provide payment to the son- is the business owner who provided the initial quote so busy he doesn't think payment should be remitted to him at the time of completion to be sure the customer is satisfied?!?! I let Armando know my concerns, I was ignored. That's fine. It's a tell all. Other reviewers stated the exact same thing. We are flexible people, and we weren't treated kindly today nor was there respect for our home. I expected minor catastrophes but this was all a bit too much. It's getting harder to find people you can trust, have a good work ethic and care even for a simple tree removal job.
