BUT, seafood here is over the top, my wife had a white fish like ONO, but too long a name to spell. Over mashed potatoes and grilled veges Mine was Blackened and seared Ahi over sticky rice and asparagus spears. We both had a nice small Caesar. The sushi bar no longer is here. Completely removed and replaced with about a dozen or more tables for four. Really , if you want a treat at sunset , come here. Great service.

Walked in before 5:00pm with no reservation for a party of four. Well, that was a mistake. Despite idle wait staff and maybe only five occupied tables out of 20-30 total they made us wait for about a half hour. The reason was other people made reservations and were expected. When they finally sat our party the restaurant was still 2/3 empty. There was really no reason to keep us waiting that i could see. When you see someone in the party is disabled and using assistive devices you should be more accommodating. It kind of felt like we were being punished for not having a reservation. Also, expect a 3% service charge for the back of the house. Really, for the prices they charge for mahi fragments you could pay those people without a surcharge. Portions here are tiny. My mahi fragments were dry, over spiced and served with two unseasoned baby bok choi leaves and a slice of grilled tomato. For the price of almost $40.00. The beer was good and so was our server so they got one star for that. Otherwise, this place is touristy, overpriced and the maitre d' is slow on the uptake. Overall, there are plenty of great restaurants on Maui, recommend you try one of those.

When we arrived, there was a decent sized line out the door and it took around 20 minutes before we could place our order. Just like at other Coconuts locations, you place your order, take your number, and find an empty table and they will bring the food to you. This location had surfboard style tables, interesting light covers that looked like seashells, and a bunch of pictures on the walls including some retro Maui prints like the Iao Needle and Big Beach. For dinner on this evening I decided to go with the calamari and chips while my dad went with the fish and chips. Our food came out within a reasonable amount of time and looked good. My calamari, which is fried calamari steaks, was good as it was cooked nicely with a crunchy exterior and soft interior. The same could be said for the fries. There were a ton of them and they were seasoned well. My father also enjoyed his fish and when I took a bite I could see why as it was breaded nicely and had a great flavor. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My calamari and chips were good and exactly what I would expect from Coconuts, and I would love to try more of the menu as well.

This deli is located in a strip mall and is bigger inside than it looks from the outside. On one side they have the ordering area with a beverage cooler, a display case, and hats for sale with their logo. The other side has seating and can probably fit around 30 to 40 people. For lunch on this day I went with the chicken pesto panini while my father went with a hot dog with mustard and sauerkraut. The menu described my sandwich as chicken breast, sun dried tomato, toasted pine nuts, provolone, and pesto spread, and my father's simply as sauerkraut and mustard. It was busy when we were there, so it took about 10 minutes to order and another 15 minutes for the food to come out. Since we ordered separately, my food came out first and even though I planned to wait, I had enough time to eat it while waiting for my dad's. The chicken pesto panini ended up being quite good. The chicken was moist and flavorful and there was more than enough cheese. The sun dried tomatoes added a nice pop of flavor, although I wish there had been more. My favorite part was the pesto spread and pine nuts, especially the garlicky flavor from the pesto. My dad also thought his hot dog was good. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed my sandwich and my dad enjoyed his hot dog, so I would be interested in trying more of the menu.

So if you want to place or take out order? I highly recommend putting in the order online and then going into pick it up. We got the Loco moco with Poached eggs and white rice. First time having a Loco Moco and I heard that this was the place to get it at, so I'm glad we got a good experience! Eggs were perfectly cooked and the entire combination of the beef and rice and eggs and pickled onions was really good together! Came with a nice macaroni salad and also some lettuce to get some veggies in, haha. Overall, there was quite a line here on a Sunday morning, so it's a good sign that this place has good food.

Table side service would have been preferable. It was an eclectic selection of foods with us choosing an açaí bowel, fish & green bean fries, and beets/goat cheese salad. The combination of food worked well for our family and was certainly tasty. We downed every single bite and licked the bowls clean. No leftovers to be had here! The green bean fries are to die for and this is where I hated that I had to stand in line for an additional order :( My kiddos had a blast naming the neighborhood chickens. I suspect those chickens were disappointed that we had no crumbs to spare for them!

The spread of the brunch buffet is not as grand as other buffets. They have sections for breakfast items, local food items, raw fish, poke, sushi, dessert, and a carving station. The carving station was roast beef. Of the dishes enjoyed were the roast beef, local dishes, and poke. The roast beef was cooked good but needed salt. The creamy horseradish sauce and ad jus added additional flavor but not the saltiness I needed. The char sui and mochiko chicken were also tasty. The tuna poke and spicy shrimp poke were also good. As it was a nice day, it was enjoyable to be seated outside. It was not hot nor the sun blazing above. Our table overlook the swimming pool area. Our wait staff cleared and replaced our dirty dishes and cutlery. And refreshed our drinks when it was low. It was a enjoyable stop in Maui for us.

The next few groups got the better seating along the edges at tables that weren't in high traffic areas, slammed against a wall. Our waitress, wow. Disgraceful. Maria I believe? She showed disgust at our order and was the most unfriendly waitress we have ever had. We ate as quickly as possible, slammed our drinks (they were actually just water, absolutely no flavor or color for a margarita), and got out in under 30 minutes we were SOOOO uncomfortable. The quesadilla was still amazing and the kalua pork nachos were good too. Everything else has 98% room for improvement - structurally, professionally, beverages, everything. We will not be back after that one.
