The week before christmas I asked for foils platinum blonde more white and showed the hairdresser a photo of the colour I wanted she said ok. I also said I dont want anything brassy, she said ok. During my treatment her child was sitting in a pram behind me, she said he got sent home from daycare because he was sick. During this time i had to listen to an angry male customer arguing with the other hairdresser next to me because she didnt cut his hair the way he asked her to upon paying he said i dont like my hair you didnt cut it the way i wanted. It looked hideous like bowl cut. I felt sorry for him and was just releaved she wasnt doing my hair. My hairdresser said he wasnt happy with you, hes out the front taking photos. When drying my hair off the hairdresser burnt my head she wasnt watching and held the dryer in the same place without moving it and burnt my scalp i yelled in pain and pulled my head away. Once dried she said what do you think fighting back tears I said i dont like it i didnt want brassy i asked for platnum blomde, she put more toner on but it didnt make any difference. I said i still dont like it its a brassy brown not blonde. The other haitdrrsser who messed up the mans haircut said just put purple shampoo in it. My hairdrrsser saw the irate look on my face and said come back next week ( xmas eve) and il fix it for you by using a stronger volume free of charge. I was worried about having to put my hair through such a drying and damaging process for a second time but could not stand the colour as i had got exactly what i said i did not want. I did return and my hair was not blonde but a brassy brown after the 2nd fix up appointment. I said i hate it tearfully and as she showed me out of the seat to leave i was told oh its just the light in here. Went in today 7/07/25 to have a haircut - all even shoulder Bob trim cut with side fringe and Lisa did my hair. I am extremely happy with my haircut and blow wave and Lisa did an amazing job as I have very fine hair. Lisa has many years experience as a hairdresser and it shows on the way she cut my hair, she is very gentle in washing and styling hair, gave me good advice and service. I will definitely go again and ask for Lisa who normally works on a Thursday and Friday and was there just to fill in a leave, so I am glad I go to to know Lisa. I highly recommend Lisa!! read more

Had my hair cut last week by an asian lady, first name starts with So...... Cut and Colours at Forest Hill Chase. Absolutely rude and condescending. She does not say good morning or a hello, it's a sit down here. I explained how I have my hair cut (not a difficult cut) and I felt as though I was being interrogated by her because she could not understand the way I was explaining myself. This lady's English is very basic and her expressive language leaves a lot to be desired. The problem is that she cannot express herself and does not understand what the customer wants. I have been a regular customer of this hairdressing establishment for close on two years and I have had different (caucasian) hairdressers that have understood completely how I have wanted my hair cut or trimmed. She needs to stop talking over the customer in a military and stern way. People are not stupid and nor do we have low intelligence. She needs to start making an effort to be courteous, smile and acknowledge that the customer is not a total idiot. Finally, to add more insult to my hair cutting experience, upon paying she asked me for my pension card - I'm nowhere near retirement age - actually a good 15 years from getting my seniors card - the hairdresser said she asked everyone, so that you go into their system and then you are not asked again. Very bad cover up for the ultimate insult to me. There are many more hairdressers at Forest Hill to choose from - no-one needs to be subjected to this level of rudeness. This shop, which falls under the 'Cuts and Colour' group...is utter nonsense. Very Rude staff. Extremely rude manager (her name starts with an "So"...and ends with an "e".). They will tell you one price before before getting your cut or blow-wave or whatever.... then when you go up to the counter, they will tell you a different (much higher) price. Manager is totally unprofessional. I've heard, and many other people have heard her verbally abusing her staff while customers are in the store hearing everything. I can see where they get it from. If you are unlucky enough to not end up with what you asked for, she will quickly say some BS about her boss owning 20 stores and she knows what she's doing, or something like that. Well that's great.... but you didn't give me what I asked for....and you lied about the price. The hairdressers are also very stuck up, and arrogant....and got the most unfriendly vibe from them. SCAM - stay away! The advertised price for my haircut was $35. I had a minor trim on a regular weekday with no blow drying and yet I was mysteriously charged $45. At least the cut was okay. Meanwhile my young, teenage daughter believed she was getting a $30 haircut (according to the advertised prices). She had a minor trim and was also charged $45. When I went back to question why she'd been charged 50% more for her trim than their advertised price, they tried to say it had been a "style cut" (she merely went from being just outgrown below the shoulder to sitting on the shoulder). They then suggested she'd had a blow wave, when in actual fact they'd only pulled out a hairdryer for 5 seconds to dry the front strands of her hair (which they did not ask her if she wanted), Most disappointing of all was that she received a TERRIBLE haircut - it's choppy and uneven all over and we're still trying to fix it at home. I've just taken my 6 year old son to Cuts Only - Forest Hill and the behaviour of the hairdresser was completely unacceptable, even though my son was relatively quiet. The hairdresser was the rudest I've seen in my life and even treated me with disdain; best of all, she didn't even did a good job. I did complain to the manager store. Staff like this one should not have a customer facing job with either kids or adults. read more

Went in last week and had my hair cut by a friendly Malaysian man named Wing at Forest Hill, the guy did an amazing job. Very happy with the care and attention he put into it. The guy is a great hairdresser. Will be back to see him again. read more

I've had a few haircuts here & they've been fine, but i've had to fix stray long bits at home because they've missed bits. The staff are friendly, but not overly chatty (which I like - I'm not much of a talker). Good at simple cuts. I'd go back if I wanted a quick trim, but not if I wanted a style change. read more
