She went through pictures with me and presented me with a lovely option for my full-head of highlights. Terrence, the salon owner, was friendly and funny, and knowledgeable about the process and recommendations to look after my hair. I was especially stoked with the final result. My hair looks healthy and refreshed, and many people have told me how much this new style suits me - even more than the previous colour that I had before. Although a little pricier than most hair dressers, I would highly recommend Mario. He co-owns this salon and is hands on with running it. I rarely go in with an idea of what I want but always leave more than satisfied with my cut and colour. Call and book in early, especially if you want a cut from Mario as he's booked out most of the time. Along with a haircut, you are offered a wine and or coffee, a massage (chair) whilst you're getting your hair washed and a team that is genuinely nice. They remember conversations and stories and they make the 3-4 hours I spend there thoroughly enjoyable. Mario is passionate about his customers, people's hair and their experience. Since I've been there, I've seen him change his products about 4 or 5 times and it's always been because he's found something better for his clients. I cannot rave any more about Mario - just go get your hair cut by him!

One downside is that there are many apprentice hairdressers working there, which means appointments can verge on being epic, you will always get water in your ears after a rinse (almost like going for a swim) and hair washes aren't necessarily all that gentle. Naturally a place like this gets super busy during peek times, so it's better to book appointments away from late night shopping times. It's also recommended to re-book your next appointment ahead of time to avoid the need for an urgent hair update.
