We had a great experience at Cute Nails. It is a little shop on Lincoln Blvd. There is plenty of street parking, but mind the signs. Everyone there is ever so nice. They do a great job and at a fair price. Since Covid their business slowed a bit, so if you are in the area try this place. It is great.
Smelly, and dirty shop. The owners are very sweet, I do appreciate them and their hard work. For nails however it is very important to have a clean environment- the fools were not sanitized, rusted, and the application was blotchy. I couldn't get over the horrible smell, dirt, dust. I wouldn't get my nails done here again even if it was free. Paid $35 for gel manicure. Also nail tech used toilet where we could hear everything and did not wash hands after.
Bio gel, yes? Bio gel yes! Best manicure ever, yes? SO yes! Briefly, a bank teller's nails were SO beautifully manicured ~ much longer than mine ~ that I had to ask, and she said, "Bio gel!" Those were actually her own nails, and she swore that it was the bio gel that helped her grow them so long and strong. SOoooo, after reading about bio gel and then looking ALL OVER yelp for a place that offered it on the Westside (for some reason, they all seem to be up in the Valley or near DTLA), I found this one place in Santa Monica. AND they could take me on a Sunday afternoon. Who knew from the plain, (very) unpretentious storefront on Lincoln that this is where I'd get the most detailed, personalized, attentive manicure of my life ~ and that includes regular, gel, and powder-dip manis in dozens of different places. The interior of the shop is, I gotta be frank, not quite your average Westside mani-and-martini kind of place. Not even close. But Anh (I hope I'm spelling it right) was the first person ever to take a close look at my nails and notice that they tend to go up a bit at the tips (so THAT's why my polish always wore off quickly at the ends!). So she got to work with the bio gel (and she had lots of colors of both the Bio Sculpture and the Bio Seaweed kinds) and meticulously, painstakingly built up my nails so that they were flat before layering on the color (you can't really tell from the picture, but it's kind of iridescent) and top coat. And all this with such a sweet, upbeat demeanor. Thank goodness it was a Sunday and all I had to do after was some grocery shopping, because the whole thing, including removing the regular gel I had on, took two and a half hours. She did say that she could work faster if I needed her to, but heck, it was Sunday and the groceries could wait a day ~ I was getting the best manicure of my life!
Amazing service every time and always is able to put so much detail and care into my nails and the final product. Pedicures as well are always so relaxing. I call in advance to make an appointment and have never needed to wait. Will continue to come and get pampered at Cute Nails.
I have been coming here for literally over 20 years and I drive all the way from Silverlake to see Ann(Yes literally an hour to get my nails done!) I've had to try other nail salons when traveling and what not but no one has ever done as good of a job as her! I will always keep going back. She is great with communicating and understanding the shape and look you want with your nails. She is literally the nail master! Lol i tell her that from time to time too and she knows it. I am finally sharing it with yelp, last night she did the perfect super sparkly holiday nails for me and as per usual i just love them! It's really hard to capture the amount of sparkle and shine they have in a still photo but here are some pics
AHN is the Best nail tech in town Hands down and also the sweetest person . I recommend making a appointment because it's not your advantage nail salon . Definitely on the private (local ) side .
Recently moved back to LA from SF and looked for a place to get my nails done here and decided to check this out because I needed something done for a friend's wedding. TL;Dr: DONT GO HERE. It's not worth your money. I've been getting gel manicures almost every month for the past two years and I've never had gel that comes off like this (peeling from the sides) in less than a week (check out the pictures). My gel manicures always last me at least 3weeks and this one came off in 6 days! The signs were there that I shouldn't have sat down and gotten them done but I was desperate. Let me break this down: 1) their instruments aren't in any sort of individual bag or look like they've been prepped. They're just in a plastic drawer! As a healthcare provider i was already skeeved out at this and started praying I wouldn't get an infection, but I was sitting there at the chair with my hands soaking. What am I supposed to do? 2) never have I EVER had someone (the lady's name was Van) put a bonding solution and then a clear top coat over it then have me put it under the UV light before any color. EVER. What the hell is the polish going to bind to if you put a top coat on first?? And let me clarify: I had smooth nails before I walked in so this wasn't a filler that she put. It was a top coat before the color. OF COURSE it's going to peel! 3) the nail color went all the way to my skin unevenly. Like the finishes on the top of the nail and on the sides were so messy so again, of course it's going to peel because the color isn't bonded to the nails properly if they touch the skin around the nail 4) I've had more hangnails around my cuticles after this appointment than I ever had. What is the point of going for a manicure if they're going to be messing up your cuticles? 5) the color on the swatches they show you do NOT match what your final result is. I was going for a dusty lavender and came out with nails that looked like I had dipped them in a a vat of Crayola's purple-mountains-majesty. After a few days either I got used to the color or it set better but either way: don't trust the swatch. 6) I paid $30 for this shit. That's how much I paid in SF for a manicure that lasted me 3 weeks without any peeling. The prices weren't even posted anywhere. Long story short: DONT GO HERE. It's so expensive for the worse than shit job they do on your nails. I'm never going back.
This was my first time going here, and it was a very fun experience. I don't get my nails done often, but when I do I look for somebody who can complete what I want, which is usually hard to find. As soon as I got in there I knew I was going to be taken care of correctly! Ann was very sweet and I showed her what I wanted and she got straight to work she made sure everything was perfect and took her time!! The whole time she was hyping me up, which was very nice! The overall experience was amazing and I most definitely will be back and suggest you come here!!
Ann, the owner, is a true artist. She really takes her time to ensure my manicure is executed beautifully. She pays attention to all the small details and is open to my feedback (in other words, she patiently puts up with my pickiness - ha ha). I never feel rushed, as is often the case at other salons. Her prices are extremely fair given the amount of care and time she provides. If you are looking for a pristine spa setting, this may not your place. However, if you want a manicure that you love and that is photo worthy, don't hesitate to go to Cute Nail!
I love coming here. Anh on the mani and Tom on the pedi for the win. I always leave feeling fresh to death! They are like family to me.

Anh is the best! She is so detailed and really listens to what you want. Speak up when there is something not to your liking because she will cater to your needs. Unlike other salons I've been to where it feels like they get annoyed for even asking no matter how polite you are. She takes her time and makes sure you're happy with everything. She also so fun to chat with. Fun fact: I've been seeing her since I was 5 years old when my mom used to take me with her, I'm 31 now! Her service and attention is what keeps me coming back after all these years! read more

DO NOT DO NOT waste yours 50$ here, couple days later!!! horrible job chipped, nail polish running, and color not what I wanted, never have I experienced this. Pay couple bucks extra to get better quality. Cheap and stingy people who seem sweet and nice but rob you're hard earned money with cheap cutting corner ideas. read more

This was the best gel manicure I've ever had. 3 weeks in, and my hand (the one I didn't try to de-gel myself) is unchipped and perfect. My nails have grown out almost a quarter inch with no damage to the manicure. The hand I did try to remove myself has very minimal damage to the nail beds. I couldn't get all the gel off in one go, but I will definitely be going back to these professional people again and again. They were also very personable and very funny, and seemed to enjoy talking with my mom and I. read more

Highly recommend Anh! She pays attention to every detail and she is truly a gem. I never feel like I have to remind her to do anything because she does such a fine job. I'm always indecisive about my color choice and the numerous times I made her redo her work, she was very kind about it. The cherry on top is that she has a great, warm personality and is fun to talk to. She always makes me laugh/puts me in a good mood when I come in. My mom goes to her too and she would say the same. read more

They are true definition of cute nails . I am extremely happy with my nails . I originally went in to see Ann but she wasn't in yet so I decided to get them with Tom and he did amazing . I am OCD when it comes to shape and he did exactly what I wanted . Ann finished up with my design . Which isn't an easy design and she perfected it ! Sooooo happy ! :) read more

I really enjoyed my mani/pedi at Cute Nails. Everyone was super friendly especially Vuong who did my nails. The best part was the hand massage I got with the manicure! I definitely recommend Cute Nails if you're looking for an affordable spot in Santa Monica / Venice. read more

Its been less then a week and my hard gel nails broke! The hard gel is supposed to stay on 4-6 week at least if not longer. Bad.. Very bad! read more
