Natalie is a life-saver. My mother passed away this past Summer and left me to deal with her five bedroom house in Brooklyn. My mother wasn't quite a hoarder, but she didn't like to throw things out either. Every closet, drawer and crawlspace was packed with stuff -- documents, memorabilia, photos, clothing, appliances, utensils, etc. I like to think of myself as pretty organized and wouldn't previously have thought that I was the type of person who would need the services of a personal organizer. Natalie helped me tackle the emotional task of sorting through all of my mother's things. Throwing out what needed to be disposed of or donated. Storing what we thought should be saved. She managed to keep in mind that we were undertaking a task that was very emotional for me but still keep us pushing ahead and efficiently dealing with the contents of my mother's house. She was right there on the floor next to me tacking the dusty job of sorting things into trash bags and boxes. She was equal parts organizer and therapist at times. I was afraid that this overwhelming task would take up more than a month of my life and be a pretty full-time job for that long. With Natalie's help, we got through it in a little over a week. I was astounded how quickly we got it done. It was a huge relief. I'm not sure I could have gotten through this job without Natalie's. Working with Natalie to organize our apartments was a life-changing experience. This might sound like hyperbole, but I say it without a drop of exaggeration. My husband and I are happier in our home as a direct result of the thoughtful guidance that Natalie provided. We initially hired Natalie to help de-clutter an unruly storage closet, but it quickly became clear that the root of our problem was our lack of an organizational system for all of our stuff. For instance, we constantly had a pile-up of our gym bags, totes, and suitcases gathered in our front hall. We would drop them next to the door as we arrived home, because there wasn't a sound logical place for them to go. Natalie helped us free up space in our coat closet for the bags, and our floor has been free and clear since. This adjustment is minor on its own, but the cumulative result of the fifty or so similar changes has been revelatory. I feel like a ninja every morning when I only need to open one cabinet to make coffee and breakfast. The permanent pile of clothes next to my bed has vanished now that every article of clothing has a logical and easy-to-access spot in my closet. Natalie is incredible! I highly recommend her for any home organization project. I moved into a new apartment six months ago, but I had so much stuff to sift through and was incredibly overwhelmed when I tried to unpack and organize. Every morning was difficult, trying to find my clothes amid all of the boxes I poorly packed. Natalie came after I sent out an "SOS", and was an absolute livesaver - she accomplished in six hours what I couldn't do in six months! Some things in particular I loved: 1) She does a free in-home consultation and there is no cost / obligation 2) She selected a number of storage items for me to make sure we were prepared as soon as she came for the session 3) She was an exceptional teacher along the way - showing me how to store items to maximize space and to ensure that the most used items were most accessible 4) Very good about helping me think through why I felt the need to hold on to specific items that were just taking up space 5) I was willing to spend quite a bit to potentially build a custom closet, but after reviewing my space and stuff, she said that wasn't necessary and saved me a ton of money by not letting me go down that path 6) Sent me a very detailed follow up email with some things to do as "homework" and to keep things maintained. I have been a two-time customer of Natalie and would give her five stars both times!! The first time I worked with Natalie was in spring 2015 when she overhauled my closet in a three hour session. We got rid of several bags of clothing and she instilled somewhat of a sense or order in my closet with my existing drawers, dividers, etc - and then she sent me some new organization tools to buy which I use to this day. I was thrilled with the results and kept (some) of the organization as I moved apartments. I hired her again this month to do a more comprehensive purge and reorganize my new apartment - which needed additional help as my fiancé had just moved in - so it was really Natalie organizing the chaos from my original move, and then integrating my fiancé's stuff from when he moved in 6 months prior. There was a lot to do - we did one eight hour session and one three hour session - but Natalie totally killed it and my apartment is finally a place of peace. Natalie rescued our apartment. I cannot adequately express how wonderful it was to work with her and how appreciative we are of everything that she did. The results are spectacular. This might sound familiar: kids (we have 2), full-time working parents, a combination of sentimentality and lack of will resulting in a constant build-up of stuff. I reached out to Natalie after my baby was born, and we were suddenly cramming an additional person (and related baby items) into our NYC apartment. Together, Natalie and I organized every single closet, dresser, storage unit, cabinet, and surface to maximize space and utility. Natalie a delight; warm, kind, firm, and funny. She brought a sense of humor and boundless energy to what could have easily been a grim task. Truly a wonderful experience from beginning to end. At our free consultation, I was very impressed by Natalie's professionalism, warmth, & ability to listen. We hired Natalie to tackle our coat closets, kitchen and bedroom closet/dresser. She did an amazing job and worked with us on our unique kitchen layout with cabinets out of reach for my GF. She came up with a system that worked for us ensuring that my GF could reach more everyday items. We had very minimal under sink storage in our kitchen and she put in a genius hack of using a tension rod to hang cleaning bottles from. Our bedroom closet is so well organized, I thought it looked like a clothing store. She also showed us how to properly fold our clothes so it stays that way. Natalie is amazing! It's been a little over a month since she helped me with my pre-move declutter. She was extremely professional and friendly from the beginning and always timely with her responses. Natalie is amazing! Is that redundant? Yes, but totally well deserved! My fiance and I have moved into his small one bedroom NYC apartment during the pandemic.
