Katie moved my Aunt who is transitioning to assisted living. She lovingly, caringly and professionally helped her to make difficult decisions, choose what to bring and what to let go, packed, arranged movers, supervised the moving and unpacked her in her new home. As a family member, this service was beyond my wildest dreams - it gave my Aunt the independence to make her own decisions, without the influence of family and allowed our family the peace of mind of knowing all was in good hands. I cannot recommend Katie enough. read more

I want to give a huge thank you to Katie and her team for the amazing results they delivered! They not only organized my apartment but also helped lighten my space by donating items that were just taking up room. They labeled everything, which has made it so much easier for me to stay organized, especially with a little one around. Katie, I cannot thank you enough! I would refer you to anyone in a heartbeat because I know they won't be disappointed read more

Katie is the best! I've hired her several times - to organize my home and also to manage the stress and headache of moving and unpacking. If all she did was help me unpack I would have been thrilled, but as quickly as she and her team unpacked me, they also organized my belongings in the most efficient way possible. She leaves you with systems in place to be able to keep up the organized home she set up for you! I don't want to move again but if I did, I would surely call Katie to help declutter before packing and help with the unpacking and organizing! read more

Katie is AMAZING - she helped me go through my clothes and accessories and patiently worked with me to go through one by one and release things I had been holding onto for years, without judgement. She also helped me figure out the best way to arrange my drawers and rearrange furniture so it would work best for mine and my husbands needs. I got rid of 5+ bags of clothes and accessories plus some other bulky items like pillows that had been in storage for 2 years. I've now been rediscovering things in my closet and making new outfits with ease and joy experimenting with my wardrobe again. I'm a stylist and work with clients on creating outfits but I was so uninspired by my wardrobe and I realized it was because it was not as organized as I thought. I could not do it for myself and I am SO GRATEFUL FOR KATIE - she's the best. I also worked with her in the past and its clear she's an expert in her field not only for organizing, but for supporting you (her clients) to feel good about the process, be clear on your goal for the session, and know how to maintain it. She helped me organize some other areas of the house and we've been able to maintain what she did since she was here so it still looks great. Thanks Katie! read more

Katie @ Haven is absolutely fantastic! When you live in NYC with children, space is a premium and you can never have enough of it! My family recently moved apartments and the new apartment had much different closet and pantry space that our prior unit. My wife and I were concerned about how best to utilize this space with a toddler and a baby on the way. Without hesitation, Katie swooped in and immediately came up with the perfect plan for each closet, cabinet and pantry. She not only helped us unpack boxes and boxes of items, but she designed shelving/drawer units for the linen and bedroom closets in order to fully maximize storage and organization. My wife and I were incredibly impressed with Katie's professionalism, timeliness on the designs and coordinating the installation, and how much we felt at ease after Katie finished. Even my 3 year old son was impressed! If you are moving into or out of an apartment in NYC, there is no question that Katie is exactly the person you need! read more

My fiancee and I recently moved from a 2 bedroom apartment in Queens to a 3 bedroom house upstate. Naturally all of the stuff we weren't too sure what to do with wound up in the basement. I reached out to Haven to get the mess cleaned up!!! I sent some pictures to Katie for an assessment. She quoted me and we scheduled the day! Katie came, I gave her the tour and basically didn't hear a peep after. I work from home so while I was in my office Katie got to work making our basement look AMAZING!! She was able to utilize the shelving units we had plus build one that we bought and never put together. She created sections for the different seasons, holidays, activities, etc. She labeled EVERYTHING so we could follow it, and she even made suggestions on stuff we could buy to further organize! I love going down to do laundry now because all of my detergent is lined up, and even my dryer sheets have a home!! Thanks so much to the team at Haven, we're excited to have you back for the next project!! read more

My real estate agent recommended Katie. I was initially skeptical as I had some challenges with another service some years back -- but Katie was amazing. She was helpful and responsive. The process was easy and streamlined and the result was amazing. She was a real problem-solver and went above and beyond to help out. I highly recommend Katie and her services. read more

Katie did a great job, working with Tailored Living, to renovate my garage and get everything nicely organized and accessible. The process went well and came out great. Highly recommended read more

I can't thank Katie McCann enough for her work. When my wife and I had to set up a nursery for our first child, we planned to convert our spare bedroom into the nursery. Unfortunately over the years the spare bedroom turned into "the room where you put stuff that doesn't belong in the other rooms." I didn't even know where to begin. After hearing about some of the great work Katie did with my friends, I decided to hire her to help. By the end of the day, Katie and I had the room completely empty! She also gave me several great tips and ideas on how to keep the nursery clean and organized too. When my wife came home that evening, she cried tears of joy and said, "I can't believe you were able to do this in just one day." She was so fantastic that we decided to hire her to do the rest of the house after we had our first child. Now our closets, cabinets, and drawers are all organized and clean! Our lives are de-cluttered and its all thanks to Katie. She has a great way of working with people that pushes you to confront tasks that you normally wouldn't do or think of, but is totally non-confrontational. I don't know how she does it. Katie is patient and kind and knows just the right way to work with all types personalities. My wife is very type-A and was a bit skeptical hiring Katie back for the entire house because she thought she could do it all on her own. After the first day of working with Katie, my wife called me and her first words to me when I picked up the phone were, "BEST. DECISION. EVER!" We also liked working with Katie because she helped us organize things in a way that was compatible with our lifestyle. Plus, not only did we get organized, we stay organized because of the strategies that Katie put in place. What more can I say? If you need help organizing a room, a closet, an entire house or office, and want a strategy in place for keeping it organized, then I highly recommend hiring Katie. read more

Katie has been tremendously valuable to us as we set up our new home in New York. She is honest, trustworthy, resourceful, communicative, and detail oriented. The service she has provided for us has truly made our lives easier and better. I can recommend Katie without hesitation. read more

Katie is amazing to work with for all types of organizing projects. My husband and I broke down after years of trying to get our garage in order on our own and hired her. We finally have a system that works and have been able to keep things in order for the past year. It is such a relief to be able to access all of our garage belongings instead of forgetting we have things and buying them again. We feel that hiring Katie paid for itself multiple times over! I am an Architect and have recommended her to clients as well and she has done an amazing job for them too. I highly recommend working with her! read more

Using a professional organizer seemed liked a frivolous way to spend money but my business was keeping me too busy to spend the time to clean everything up and my office was out of control. Turns out the service is worth the investment and then some! Katie from Haven swooped in and got my office completely organized in just one day. She was very easy to work with, discreet, calming and energetic. She didn't force me to part ways with anything I really wanted but really helped guide and motivate me to declutter and streamline. She is truly organized by nature and the way her mind works she is able to quickly and effectively sort items and find a home for them that makes sense and is aesthetically pleasing. I love that she didn't do anything overly complicated that I wouldn't be able to keep up with myself. It's been a couple of weeks now and my productivity has soared thanks to having a nice neat place to work! It's also been easier to maintain now that I know where everything belongs when I'm done with it. I've also saved money because I don't have to purchase duplicates of that thing that I know is here somewhere but just can't find. Thank you so much Katie! I'm looking forward to working with you again on another room and I would not hesitate to recommend your services to anyone who needs them! read more

Katie recently helped us organize our new apartment, and we couldn't be happier! She was supposed to come in person, but with COVID-19, we had to change plans and do the session virtually. We were so happy with how it went!! Having the session virtually didn't feel limiting at all, and Katie just had us take measurements for her to write down. Afterwards, she sent us consolidated notes with links to everything we discussed purchasing, which was extremely helpful. We highly recommend taking advantage of the virtual session while people are stuck at home!! read more

Katie McCann worked tirelessly with me to clear out the physical clutter in my home in the places that most haunted me. You know that mystery place in the eaves of your house that you avoid because you fear it might contain belongings left behind by the previous owners (and/or ghosts)? Places like that, and places much more regular like the unfinished portion of my basement. Katie followed my lead but was most decidedly the professional in the room. Alongside the physical clutter, she helped me clear out the emotional clutter with a kindness and quiet confidence that I will never (ever) forget. Hire her. P.S. There were no ghosts in the eaves. Just some old luggage. read more

Is it normal to cry happy tears when your home has finally be decluttered, organized, and transformed into the haven you always hoped it would be? Because that's pretty much what I did after my 2 days with Katie. The process: going through all my things, item by item, and either throwing away, donating, or giving it a forever home in my apartment where it would be easily found and used. The result: a clean, organized sanctuary where everything is beautiful, functional, and it its place. And all that stuff we threw away or donated? As Katie said as she was carting it away, "It's not your problem anymore!" Hallelujah! Highly recommended and worth every penny. read more

I don't know whether to say that I found Katie, or that Katie found me, but bottom line is, she saved my life! After a last minute large-scale office move, I remember coming into my office on a Saturday only to find dumpster-size crates full of stuff, and no idea how to organize it. I must have felt confident that I could put everything away myself, because I marched over to the Container Store across the street, thinking I could just grab some bins and labels...and soon discovered I was in WAY over my head. I was fortunate enough to find a sales associate who introduced me to Container Store's home organizing service, "Contained Home". Katie was the lead organizer on my project and she promptly reached out to me to schedule an in-person survey of my office space. After surveying, she put together a plan, which included purchasing of crucial supplies and even revamping of closet space. Once the spaces were optimized structurally, Katie and her team efficiently spent hours conquering each space and making it beautiful. I was honestly shocked at how quick they got things done, and they weren't even in anyone's way! This project was about 4 years ago, and to this day we maintain the space with Katie's fool-proof organization system in place. We're actually expanding our space to the floor above us, and best believe we'll be asking Katie to work her magic when it's ready for her! read more

Organization is not something that comes naturally to me or particularly interests me. I'm also expecting my first kid so, my energy levels are lower than they normally are. So having Katie come in to assess my space, create a plan on how to organize my changing table, kitchen and master closet, make product recommendations and then implement the plan in my kitchen was super helpful. I'd definitely recommend working with her. read more

Katie @ Haven not only helped me organize my closet but also my life. We tackled a tremendous project, including installation of shelves and labeled bins for items of all sizes, in all my closets in my apt. It was a daunting task but Katie broke down each closet one-at-a-time with unmatched patience and guidance. She helped me let go of the "weight" of holding on to unnecessary yet nostalgic items while preserving those few and unique items that deserve space in my closets and my life. Katie is prompt, reliable and effective and I have no hesitation recommending her for anyone's home organizing project (and more). read more
