First time here. I came from Vegas so I didn't have time to get a cut locally in LA. Came for Splash House and damn Lee is absolutely amazing. He provided me probably the best haircut I have ever received. I told him I didn't want to change much, just do my fade since a different barber cut my hair too short and I wanted to let it grow out. He not only did that, but he fixed the uneven work done by the previous worker by cutting just the bare minimum. Fresh asf and would highly recommend him to anyone. 2 weeks after my cut, it still looks bomb. Considering driving 4 hour round trip, because LA is saturated with terrible barbers and they are hard to filter. read more

This is a long overdue review. I moved to the Palm Springs area over a year ago and the first barber I went to was at this location with JR (David). I am very particular about my hair and beard but he listened to every concern I had and made sure I was happy with the final product. Not only that but his customer service is impeccable. My husband has been a regular at Cut Barber for the past two years. Jimmie, the owner, is his stylist, and, Jimmie is TOP NOTCH! I am very picky about my husband's haircut, and Jimmie does an awesome job every time! This past week, I needed a fade buzzcut on the side of my head. As a female, I had only gone to hair salons geared towards women's feminine style. However, I decided to have Jimmie perform the fade buzzcut on me, because I saw how amazing my husband's hair looked.... I am absolutely gobsmacked this place has such good reviews. I called yesterday morning and booked joint appointments for my partner and I at 3.30pm. We arrived to a very lukewarm welcome and my partner was seen almost immediately and an ok cut. I was kept waiting over 20 minutes as it appeared the person who should've cut my hair took a walkin right before my appointment - why would you do this solely down to GREED GREED PURE GREED. To make it worse this was my birthday and the sole reason we planned joint appointments was we had cocktails, drinks planned with friends and had to collect some things around PS for the night out. Hence to say I walked out without a haircut, what an absolute disgrace of a Barbers Shop and certainly would never spend a dime here EVER. Thanks for almost spoiling my birthday....... Don't bother to book an apointment whats the point ... go somewhere else that respects bookings. The people help out so much, especially when they introduced Pinterest to my boyfriend for the first time. It was adorable. They bring comfort while asking if we need anything, and water is a given. All around GREAT place. I have long-ish hair, and I was a bit skeptical going to a "barber" to get my hair cut. I was afraid that the stylists would be more comfortable doing a clipper/razor/side-wall cut. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. I used the online reservation system which is fantastic, and made an appointment with JR. This guy really knows his stuff. He analyzed my hair throughly before cutting, and he was articulate in discussing what needed to be done. (truth is.. I got my hair cut one week prior at another hair salon in town, and was un-happy with the cut, so I needed someone to fix it) JR understands all types of hair. My hair is a good 6-8 inches, and JR gave me a fantastic cut, with just the right amount of texturing. Highly recommend JR. He's a very talented hair stylist. read more

I absolutely LOVED the online booking system. My haircut experience was Divine, Sublime, and On-Time. Jimmy was adorable and gave me a buzz cut for $15 that looks like a $60 designer do. And, who doesn't love walking into a place and being offered wine, beer or water right off the bat, just as an amenity? Beautiful, clean, comfortable facility and super friendly, capable staff. What more do you want from barber shop? Oh, and yeah, as upscale and hip as the decor and ambient music are, it is an authentic barbershop experience with NO ATTITUDE! While you'll find some containers of barbicide and authentic barber chairs, Cut has taken the traditional barbershop experience and modernized it with a top notch staff, array of services (including straight razor shaves), and decor. My experience started with being offered a voucher for a free latte at Earnest Coffee a few doors down as their 'gratis' for my impending service. The attendant took my info and said he would give me a call when it was my turn. Off to Earnest I went to enjoy a vanilla latte. Their coffee is impeccable, but that's for another review. On this particular Sunday, Brien was my barber and he provided me with a list of their hair cutting services and explained each of them. I ultimately settled on the "Deluxe" ($45) and it was worth every penny. Brien started with a scalp and neck massage and then proceeded to cut my hair. After washing it there was a hot towel facial wrap in store for me which was unexpected, welcomed, and very relaxing. After hair wash and final trimming, product was put in my hair and styled and it was a wrap. Cut truly is a "cut above" your traditional barbershop experience. The staff want to earn your service and in the process perform a fantastic service at a high level of quality. They also provide an array of different services and "levels" so you can get a quick and basic trim/cut for a lot less than the $45 I paid for a deluxe, or you can choose to scale up as I did. I expected to pay a ton of money for my haircut, but I was pleasantly surprised that I paid what I would have paid at a more pedestrian barber. Udo cut my hair. I tend to stay quiet when getting my hair cut, but he and I had a great conversation. I loved my haircut. He was super quick and made me look great. Braden gave me an excellent, efficient cut - he was also easy going, friendly and a real gentleman. (Oh yeah, built and handsome didn't hurt matters either. Cut is dog friendly - they loved our mini dachshund Squishy, who sat in my lap under the drape. I recently moved here to Palm Springs, and I was looking for a great place to get a CUT! Darlene helped me, and she was awesome!! My partner was cut by her after me, and we both left thrilled to have found a place we look forward to returning to! The staff working were so friendly and welcoming, the interior is beautiful. I did not discover until later that it is owned by the super talented designer Scott Cullen's barbershop, so no wonder it is awesome.
