Needed a last-minute haircut and found this place on Google. So glad I did! Veronica is awesome, super friendly, easy to talk to, and she absolutely nailed my haircut. She took her time, paid attention to the details, and made sure everything looked perfect. If you are in Palm Springs and need a haircut, definitely check this place out. It's on the second floor, but it's totally worth finding. I'll definitely be back! read more

I wondered into DownTown Barbers in Palm Springs (NYC Transplant to PSP Living here now) around 6pm in March 2026 as I was in a pickle, needed my haircut desperately - it was after 6pm and every place else was closed - I was having drinks over Sunset SoCal - also a great outdoor space. Well that's when I met Veronica - who is AWESOME ! She is quick, funny as hell and gave me an incredible haircut. Well that was 4 months ago - always accommodates my last minute calls to swing by the shop for a cut. I highly recommend Veronica. Quality and Consistency Every Single Time . Thank You Veronica for making me have the best hair in the house ! read more

A dear friend of mine has a job interview tomorrow. He needed a beard trim only. We walked in and told them we did not have an appointment and we should be considered a walk-in. They immediately started working on us and the barber did a fantastic job with my friend's full beard. He looks professional and he's ready to go for tomorrow. Veronica, an exciting and fun woman who works there, made me, the guest, feel comfortable and we shared plenty of laughs as my friend was getting his beard trimmed. If I ever need a barber in Palm Springs, I know exactly where to go. read more

Walked in off the street for a beard trim and Carlos not only did an amazing job but made me want to post this! Highly recommend.

I booked an appointment for 3pm. I got there 5 minutes early and they said it was closed. You shouldn't take appointments if you prefer to be closed. read more

So I called around 4 and made an appointment for 6 pm. Get there at 5:50 and there's one barber there and he has one guy in his chair and no one else in the shop. I notice the crap music they have on is way too loud for such a small empty barbershop. Shortly afterwards another barber walks in With a guy who he sits in his chair and proceeds to begin cutting this guys hair. Then another guy walks in (who is clearly friends with the first barber. Now it's about 6:15 and the first barber finishes up with the guy he's working on and motions his friend to sit in his chair. He obviously sees my annoyance and says he'll be with me as soon as he finishes with the guy ( who came in after me and I had a 6 o'clock appointment and it's now 6:15. They dictated the time, not me). Around 6:25 the 2nd barber finished up with the guy he's working walked in with and motions me to his chair. We chit chat and I never bring up the fact that I had an appointment at 6:00 or that I was annoyed at the other barber for skipping over me. He finishes up and they don't take cards (even though their website says they do) . Cash or I can Zelle him. The haircut was $45 and I don't care to use Zelle. They have an ATM in the shop that charges $3.95. I'm not a cheap ass but I am seriously annoyed. I take out $60 for the haircut and leave dude a $15 tip. I like the cut but won't be going back. I appreciate when someone has respect for my time and I really felt as though they did not! Horrible way to treat a prospective new client. I'll keep going to my current barber who was off this day otherwise I'd have gone to him. I also now understand why this barbershop was empty. It seems they mostly cut their friends hair and they will obviously move their friends ahead of people who are courteous enough to call ahead and make an appointment read more

I asked him for the cut in one way and he ended up doing it to me in another way and I was completely dissatisfied, I paid him because he had already finished but for my part I would not have given him a penny for the terrible cut I received from him, for not paying attention to the cut and talking to his colleagues, terrible service and cut read more

1/16/24 Literally called a couple minutes ago asking about some details on a cut and I'm putting sure they muted themselves and hung up. I've never been to a barbershop and probably won't after this. What kind of customer service is that. The website even says don't hesitate to reach out, so much for that. read more

Downtown Barbers - Website said don't hesitate to reach out but when I called I was pretty much hung up on. The call didn't even last 30 seconds. - Barbers Near Me - Palm Springs, California

Got yelled at and left half way through afraid. Unsure if the barber was having a bad day.

Made an appointment for my little brother 10/10 would recommend this place, not only did his haircut come out amazing but the vibes in there are just right read more

Walk-ins are welcomed but I hate having my time wasted so I make an appointment more often than not. Well that doesn't actually matter here because I still waited around 40 minutes. It was a good haircut, forgot the guy's name, but not worth the wait. Haven't been back and will not return. read more

Theres a barber whos a youngin with the tat on his face who has a bad attitude. He struck me with a hard bristle brush, used a moldy hot towel, brought my hairline back so far You could tell it was all intentionally and on purpose. My fade was also different on both sides. This place is a nightmare and is known to go out of their way to be everything but of service to people. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Its a sloppy ran business ran by clumsy people that lack any real sense or ability whatsoever. read more

Don't know this Jay asshole, but I really enjoyed Brandon. He did a really good job and seated me immediately once I walked in the door without a appointment. Great new team. read more

Yelp page and sticker on the table says "walk-ins welcome". Went in for haircut for my son at 1030 to be told they are appointment only and the soonest they could do a cut was 1. Called Gentlemen's Barbershop and he was in getting a cut 10 minutes later. Just be aware walk-ins are not welcome. Walk-in No problem, and I'll likely book an appointment at another time. Brandon is cool and friendly, and he's a superb barber too. I walked in without an appointment before noon on a Wednesday. So, I was lucky to grab a comfortable seat without a wait. I had a Mohawk styled back of head, with a fade and a slight faux hawk up top. Brandon cleaned it up and simplified my head, so I look more grown up without the silly faux mess I had. I'll be revisiting when I need a professional to get the job done. read more

Had an appt for my son. Even had an email confirmation showing it. When my son arrived to get his haircut the appointment literally disappeared before my eyes in the email confirmation from them. They said he never had an appointment but would take him anyways-after a long wait the haircut was not worth the lying from the staff or the wait. As a local I would never recommend this place, we were very disappointed. read more

Well good luck getting a barber here even with an appointment. Nobody really greets you or even asks who your waiting for. You just kinda sit there hoping that someone does your appointment. Since the old crew ALL quit this place has left an describable taste in my mouth. I do not recommend at all. Avoid this place. read more

The people there were awesome for opening late past closing time to give me a haircut. I enjoyed the music they had and shoes the sell. It's the first barber to have ever sell merchandise like shoes I definitely would go back to grab a pair when I get the chance. read more

I went there and got a haircut and it was half assed for someone who took a hour and 30. The barber there does not know how to cut hair.

I would like to thank Jordan! Super satisfied with the haircut! I showed him a picture of what I was thinking of getting (this would be my first official haircut since I've recently buzzed my hair). He really did a great job like wow I wasn't expecting it to look this good! He was super kind and friendly, will definitely get my haircut here when back visiting! read more

Carlos cleaned me up! I was able to walk in a couple hours before a wedding and get a haircut and beard trim to my liking. The wait was about 30 minutes, but it was well worth it. Carlos was friendly and gave me exactly the trim I was looking for. We talked about Palm Springs and music and I loved it. read more

These guys are fantastic. My partner and I were in Palm Springs for our wedding, and I stopped in to this place to get a straight razor shave, a head shave, and a beard shaping. The guys were tons of fun and did an outstanding job. Not only that, but when my partner stopped by to pick me up after he had his hair cut at a local salon, the guys at Downtown Barbers jumped on him and told him that he couldn't possibly go to his wedding with that haircut. They talked him in to a chair and quickly and confidently fixed up his mediocre (at best) salon cut in about 10 minutes -- at no charge! There are a lot of reasons I wish we lived in Palm Springs, but this place is one of them! read more

First time and last time here. I was in the area running errands and thought to stop in and get a haircut. The haircut itself was average but was charged $35. A bit high for a regular cut. The good thing is that they do take walk ins. The inside does look better than the outside. read more

Walked in needing a haircut and beard trim, and Brandon took care of me. Great results.

Gina, from "Just Gina's" referred me to Jordan. I wore hair extensions for the last year and unfortunately it caught up with me. After switching to braids I realized that the hair had to go. SO, I shaved it first with a clippers but missed a bunch of spots--plus I wanted some design. Upon Gina's suggestion, I went to Downtown Barbers and saw Jordan who was not only professional and a perfectionist, but a very cool person. He did a fabulous job! I often come to Palm Springs to write so I know I'll be back here. Thanks Jordan and everyone at Downtown Barbers. read more
