I told the hairdresser I would like my hair lightened and he suggested a balayage to me. I agreed and he lightened my hair with bleach. The process was really nice the first time. People were polite and I left happy.. at first. When I went home, I looked deeper into my hair, near my roots, and found that there were patches of bleach where the brush layed. I called back the next day to ask for a retouch, which they were polite again and said to come in on Friday. I came Friday afternoon and explained how it didn't look light enough for a balayage and that there were spots unblended. They told me thats how it was supposed to look, but they agreed to "retouch" it for me. They took more bleach to my hair to the root and left me to sit for 25 minutes. My virgin hair bleached twice within two days. When we washed off the bleach, I was placed under an air dryer. My hair wasn't even dry when I left the salon. They left it wet. I went home to dry it and I was so upset to see what they have done. It was so dry, patchy, streaky, spotty, and just in general ruined. I cried looking in my mirror. I trusted this "50-year" salon to treat my hair well and they left me with more hair to cut. We called the owner and visited the store, and they argued with us that they wouldn't give a refund. They implied that it was my fault my hair came out the way that it did, and that they didn't charge me for a retouch to fix my hair. They argued with us and yelled at us in their salon; real "professional". Real professionals do not blame their clients for a result the professionals created. It is sad to think that the owner found more offense in someone asking for a refund rather than finding offense in letting someone leave their salon like this. They can take my $160, but they will never take my respect. Leaving a client crying from a store and rejoicing over money earned is something to be ashamed of.

Most of all though they really care about what you look like and care about your haircut and they want you to leave the facility happy and most of all proud of what you look like when you leave and wanting to come back when you need another haircut. They provide you with pampering and they allow you to feel good about yourself when you walk in and when you walk out.
