Fast forward to a few weeks ago and unsurprisingly I had the same experience. The staff at Krannawitter eye care are super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Maybe one day we will live in a world where we can utilize insurance as much as we see fit ‍ I brought some glasses that I got here last year to have repaired and my warranty covered a whole new set for only $50. The original price for the frames and lens were about $700 altogether. It's definitely expensive to have visual acuity, but I think we can all agree it's a source we all rely on to maneuver through our daily lives! I have wanted to switch to contacts for awhile but because I have a Astigmatism they just don't seem to want to cooperate with me. He is never in a rush to get to the next patient. He is just all together friendly. Which is why the three of them work so well together. It's super close to my house, and once I got there it was a very quick and seamless process to get checked in and seen by Dr. Noyce. She was incredibly kind and personable, and honestly, I'm just so happy I made the switch to this practice. The staff is always nice and it is clean. I am usually able to get scheduled in a reasonable amount of time. The only reason I gave a four is that the machine has went on the blitz several times in the middle of the testing. They have gotten it worked out during those times but I despise the testing because it takes longer than a typical test so I've had to prolong the testing.

The other office apologized to me for making me wait and go through all of this hassle for nothing. They were pretty shocked about what happened. He wasted my time and my money, and I ended up having to go for a third appointment somewhere else. That also postponed my treatment. Dr. Schwerdtfeger (Dr. Joe) would not recommend. If you are a doctor and you were unsure of the next steps a patient needs to take, tell them that. I would have more respect for a doctor if they told me the truth, instead of sending me somewhere that couldn't help.

The doctor appeared short with her answers and told me I wasn't listening when I was asking questions. I left perplexed and still not sure what prescriptions to get. The prescription was incorrect that was provided evidently during my recent visit to their office on Thursday October 2 2025. As this was my first experience obtaining glasses, I expected clear guidance and support, which I unfortunately did not receive. Despite my attempts to understand the prescription process, I found the optometrist's explanations inadequate and unhelpful. Additionally, I have incurred out-of-pocket expenses for three pairs of reading glasses and one Multifocal pair, all based on this incorrect prescription. Given these circumstances. After contacting their office, they did ask me to come in and get a second test for free. However as a direct result of my previous experience I chose to seek a second opinion from a different Dr who did confirmed that the prescription was incorrect. I have incurred expenses from this additional test. They have REFUSED to refund my money based on the FACT that I went else where to have my eyes tested.

The patient was definitely not drunk or under the influence of any drugs or alcohol. It's pretty obvious when people are drunk because they reek of alcohol she was just there for an eye visit. I am not sure why the staff thought she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs because she clearly wasn't but they proceeded to call the police on her and tell the police that she was under the influence of alcohol yet the staff still treated her for her visit. If she was really under the influence of alcohol wouldn't medical professionals not be allowed to treat her? I don't think the staff would've treated her because it's probably a liability to treat a I patient that's under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I was an appalled by them treating her this way when the woman was just was coming in to get a new prescription for her glasses and I witnessed her behavior. She was not under the influence of anything for the staff to call the police on her is absurd and extremely unprofessional. I will never go here again after I witnessed how they treat their patients very unprofessional receptionist, staff, and definitely the medical staff. I don't know what this lady did for them to treat her this way, but she didn't deserve that and I will never go there again and I will tell all my friends and everyone I know how this poor young lady was treated and how no one should ever go to insight vision center off Lone Elm in Olathe, Kansas. The doctor proceeded to take her prescription manually, I was SO impressed with his patience and professionalism. Then, after that, the doctor suggested that we go back to the machines and try again. He was able to get pictures this time! The machine read her prescription as the EXACT numbers that he had recorded during his manual examination. The man behind the desk urged me to bring her back if there were any problems with her glasses. They ended up slipping down her nose a bit so I took him up on that. He fixed it in a matter of minutes and they have fit perfectly for the last 3 months!! I cannot emphasize enough how impressed I was and how grateful I am to this location. Couldn't recommend them enough.
