If you don't know Office Max, it is like an Office Depot with more options, and like a Staples that sells printers, computers, office furniture, artwork, and more! We parked, walked in towards the back where the office chairs and furniture was. Actually saw alot of desks that I liked, and could have brought when I was looking for a desk back in like March/May. One even had lots of storage that came with the desk. Again, not that we were looking for desks but, if anything should have came in this place sooner! Anyways, we looked at office chairs, and they had plenty of all shapes and sizes. One good part is that they had them all out of their boxes so that we can physically sit on them. My parents found a chair that they liked, however, it was a little pricey. So unfortunately we walked out without buying anything, But will keep this store in mind for our office needs!

Also found a sign in the back that said restrooms- which were clean, but the stall i went in didn't have any toilet paper! I managed anyway though. Anyways, we then looked at the office chairs, along with the furniture. As said in my review for Office Max, I was at this location in March, and was looking for a desk in which I couldn't find. Well, this time there was lots of desks with storage options, and plenty of color options! Anyways, there was also a good selection of Office chairs here. What is good is that they have chairs out of their boxes in which you can sit on the chair for yourself and decide if it is comfortable for you. We did pick out a chair that we liked, but prices were still a bit high for us. So we left without buying anything. But, will keep this store if we need any office needs!

They have recently opened another location in Greenville, and have been in business for a hundred years. This showroom and office space has recently been redone to display more of their product line offerings. It is very spacious and welcoming for customers. Their representatives always come to our site, but they were having an Open House so it was nice to personally see what goes on behind the scenes. There's a separate sales room and the designers are in the front with the samples. There is a huge room that includes products used in schools and can be used as a conference room as well. The President was even on hand to meet and greet.

Due to the nature of the business that I help run, I wanted a metal cabinet that could lock with a key. When I went to unload the cabinet from my truck, I discovered a key was not included with the metal cabinet. I specifically wanted a metal cabinet that had a key so I could lock it up when away from work. After contacting, presumably, the manager/salesperson, they informed me that a key was not included and they believed I was not looking for a metal cabinet with a key. After emphasizing why I needed the metal cabinet, I reaffirmed that a key is a must with the purchase. When I contacted the manager/salesperson via phone, the manager/salesperson replied by email rather than call me back. I find this communication response irritating as hiding behind an email versus calling me back is unprofessional. Whatever happened to common courtesy? I suppose not all courtesy is common! After a change in the business overhaul plans, it has been determined that the metal cabinet is no longer needed. I went to return the metal cabinet and the other salesperson that handled the refund was very professional. Although both were unfamiliar with the refund process as not many customers have likely returned their purchases, the manager/salesperson wanted to make a joke out of me returning the metal cabinet. This as well is unprofessional. This store prides itself on exceeding in the office furniture industry. If that is true, I certainly did not see it when it came to the actual point-of-sale. Their friendliness and kindness are present, but they must improve on their point-of-sale and overall customer satisfaction in order to gain my respect as a customer. With that, certainly check them out and I hope you have a better experience than I did!

As a new resident of this area, I really appreciate the high level of service. During the process of checking out and paying for my purchase the female Manager who was visiting from Wilmington rudely stepped in to handle the payment and somehow the city to where my package was supposed to be sent was changed. I did not notice this at first, because I was not expecting this error. Luckily, Will was still working this evening, and when I was made aware of the error I called the store immediately and Will fixed the error! Moral of the story - work directly with Will. Keep Wilmington's General Manager in Wilmington - the staff in Shallotte are better off without her.

Variety of items from memory foam pillows, towels, robot vacuum cleaners, to tools, lights, desk organizers....it was kinda like a mini Ross of quality items for less in prices...friendly staff I found some front black wetsuit car seat covers... a pair for $20, copy paper for $2, and 2 chair pads for $8...composition books for 50cents apiece worth checking out ..they are open Tues-Sun 10 am to 6 pm.
