My family and I just had a horrible experience in your store. My children were purchasing some of…read moreyour bulk candy. They mixed several different types of candy in the bags. When we got to the register, the cashier said there were two different types of candy in one of the bags. She wasn't very clear what the problem was, actually quite rude and snippy. it took me a second but we figured out the chocolate needed to be separated out from the other candy, so I stepped aside with my daughter and helped her separate it while my husband checked out with our sons. After the cashier wrung in my son's and my husband paid she handed the bags of candy back to my husband and said "great way to raise your kids, you got away with it". Apparently my son had four pieces of chocolate in his bag as well. When I got outside my husband was telling me and another family overheard us and asked if we were talking about the cashier, he said yes. They said she was terribly rude to them, threw a pair of scissors at him when he asked to cut a tag of something he had purchased. I'm incredibly disgusted that this type of customer service is tolerated in your business. My children were treated and made to feel like thieves over a mistake, one we were obviously very willing to fix if we had been made aware. "Great way to raise your kids, you got away with it" would be acceptable if we were there with malicious intent trying to steal from you but that was obviously not the case in this instance. I genuinely can't even describe how disgusted I am by the way my family was treated today.

What a kind, lovely human being. All of Bob's pieces are absolutely wonderful, and because he owns the store, you are able to choose between prints, cards, and other items featuring his work...AND even some of the original pieces. Many are of a beach aesthetic, but there are others that are geared more towards pet lovers. (Dogs, in particular.) You can't really get more "unique" than original artwork, so this place is a great choice if you're looking for something really special at a very reasonable price point. Although the space is relatively small and the parking looks like it could be a little tricky during a busy season, Bungalow by the Sea is absolutely worth visiting. I was looking for an arrangement to have delivered to my aunt who has been moved into hospice care. My aunt is one of the sweetest, most wonderful people you could ever meet so I wanted it to be especially beautiful. I've had a couple of bad experiences with ordering expensive arrangements from highly rated florists only to have the delivered arrangement look nothing like the pictured/agreed upon arrangement (I assume they thought I would never know what was actually delivered). Given my relative's health situation, I didn't want the same to happen again and I couldn't have picked a better florist to ensure that it didn't. I saw a Teleflora arrangement on the Carolina Charm web site that was very pretty but not exactly what I was looking for. After just a few minutes on the phone with Julie (and with very vague information from me), they created a custom arrangement in the same price range as the Teleflora arrangement that was absolutely SPECTACULAR. They provided me with pictures of what they delivered (I don't know that I've ever seen as many flowers in a tabletop arrangement and every single one was beautiful) and they even managed to deliver it the same day. Needless to say my aunt was blown away by the arrangement and other family members said they were amazed at the size and quality of the arrangement. I can't say thank you enough to the folks at Carolina Charm Florist for providing such a beautiful way to remind my aunt of how much she is loved.
